Oliver (hip) is considered day-to-day and could be available for the Bills' Week 3 tilt against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 27, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Oliver did not play in the Bills' 41-31 win over the Lions on Thursday after sustaining a hip injury during pregame warmups. The veteran defensive lineman's practice participation during the upcoming week will ultimately determine whether he'll be available for Week 3. DeWayne Carter was the defensive lineman that saw his defensive snap count jump the most from Week 1 to Week 2 in Oliver's absence. |

The Bills are treating Moore as day-to-day after he was diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his shoulder after exiting Thursday's 41-31 win over the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Moore carried once for minus-1 yard and didn't draw a target on his 23 snaps before exiting Thursday's contest late in the second quarter. Keon Coleman (55 snaps, 6-63-0 line on six targets) saw a boosted profile on offense in Moore's absence, but Coleman could fade into more of a tertiary role in the passing game if Moore is able to play through the shoulder injury during the Bills' Week 3 matchup with the Chargers. Rapoport relays that Moore is expected to practice next week, and the Bills will see how his shoulder responds before his status for next Sunday's contest is clarified. |

Analysis: Benford led the Bills in tackles on the night, with linebacker Dorian Williams coming in second with six. Benford did let up a touchdown to Amon Ra St. Brown at the start of the third quarter despite sticking tight to the wide receiver on a quick slant route. The team's primary outside cornerback played 64 out of the 65 defensive snaps over the course of the night. |

Analysis: Rousseau helped the Bills open the new Highmark Stadium in style, sacking Jared Goff twice and hitting him four times en route to the team's first regular-season win in the building. Rousseau's 4.0 sacks through two games in coach Jim Leonhard's 3-4 defense match half of his single-season sack peak (8.0 in 2022 and 2024). The 26-year-old is on his way to crushing his previous record as he manages his new role. |

Analysis: Hawes started Thursday. He played in 37 of the team's 74 offensive snaps, adding seven on special teams. However, the 25-year-old went without a catch (or target) for a second consecutive game. Hawes finished the 2025 campaign with 16 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns in 17 regular-season games. Although there's a chance he will find the end zone this season, he could have trouble doing anything other than block while Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox are in the equation. |

Analysis: Knox was on the field for 56 of the Bills' 74 offensive snaps to mostly serve as a run blocker, though he was found by Josh Allen for a one-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter to give the Bills a 21-0 lead. Dalton Kincaid is off to a hot start to the year, but Knox is a dark-horse candidate to see an uptick in targets from Allen if DJ Moore (shoulder) were to miss time. Up next for the Bills is a Week 3 home tilt Sunday, Sept. 27 against the Chargers, who allowed a 9-95-1 line on 12 targets to Trey McBride in a Week 1 loss to the Cardinals. |

Analysis: Head coach Joe Brady did not provide a postgame update on Moore after he left Thursday's contest in the second quarter, but more details are now available, and it appears Moore is not facing any sort of extended absence. He will have over a week to rest and recover before the Bills square off against the Chargers, and if he's unable to go by then that will mean more snaps for Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer. |

He's hauled in just one pass in each of the first two games, but he could see more looks if DJ Moore's shoulder injury puts him on the shelf for a stint. Palmer, Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman would likely work as the main wide-receiver trio if Moore can't suit up in Week 3 against the Chargers. |

Analysis: The star tight end put together a fitting encore to his season-opening 5-130-0 line against the Texans, setting the pace for the Bills in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night. Kincaid repeatedly got into the second level of the Lions defense during the high-scoring victory -- including on his 16-yard scoring grab late in the first half -- and his particularly elevated workload was partly the byproduct of DJ Moore's exit with a shoulder injury shortly before the tight end's touchdown catch. Kincaid will remain a vital component of the Bills' red-hot air attack in a Week 3 home showdown against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 27. |

Analysis: When the kicker missed, Amazon Prime announcer Al Michaels joked that it was the only thing that had gone wrong for Buffalo on the night. To be fair to Bass, he did make field goals from 46, 34 and 33 yards and all three of his extra-point attempts in Week 1. He is also clearly still a fantasy-relevant option as the kicker for a high-flying offense led by Josh Allen and James Cook. |

Analysis: Cook repeatedly gashed a Lions defense that came in with a reputation for being stingy against the run, more than atoning for a lackluster Week 1 showing against the Texans just four days earlier. The star running back rounded out his fantasy night with the final score of the high-scoring clash, recording a one-yard touchdown run just after the three-minute mark of the fourth quarter. Cook's multiple explosive runs throughout the night served as a reminder of why he earned such lofty draft status this summer, and he'll remain a critical component of a juggernaut Bills offense in a Week 3 home matchup against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 27. |

Allen completed 20 of 31 passes for 248 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions while rushing 14 times for 69 yards and another pair of scores in the Bills' 41-31 win over the Lions on Thursday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Buffalo.
Analysis: Allen extended his record of most games with two-plus passing touchdowns and two-plus rushing touchdowns, accomplishing the feat for the 10th time in his career while leading the Bills to a wild victory in their first regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium. Allen's pair of rushing touchdowns came from one and two yards out in the first and third quarters, respectively, and he hit Joshua Palmer (43 yards), Dawson Knox (one yard) and Dalton Kincaid (16 yards) for his trio of scoring strikes. Allen's solid passing numbers were made all the more impressive by the fact he lost DJ Moore to a shoulder injury late in the first half, and the star signal-caller encouragingly displayed strong chemistry with Keon Coleman (6-63-0) in response. Allen has quickly generated a 5:0 TD:INT and added four rushing touchdowns in his first two games, a noteworthy start to a quest for a second career MVP. Allen and his teammates now get some extra rest ahead of a Week 3 home showdown against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 27. |

Analysis: Moore exited late in the second quarter and was taken to the locker room for X-rays. The results of those tests aren't yet clear, but Moore appeared to be in a considerable amount of pain after landing hard on his shoulder while attempting a diving catch in the end zone. Prior to his departure, Moore rushed one time for minus-1 yard and didn't see an official target in the passing game. Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid figure to be Josh Allen's preferred targets the rest of the way, with Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer and Dawson Knox filling in behind them in the pecking order. |

Analysis: Moore was injured while attempting a diving catch in the end zone late in the second quarter. He immediately grabbed at his shoulder or collarbone area and was assisted off the field with trainers before being taken to the locker room. Prior to leaving, Moore failed to record any receptions. Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer will have to pick up the slack at wide receiver with Moore sidelined. |
