Jacoby Brissett
Jacoby Brissett Seeking raise to starter-level pay
Fri, Apr 17, 2026, 12:46 PM
Brissett isn't attending Phase 1 of Arizona's offseason program and is seeking an extension that will pay him commensurate with being a starting quarterback, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Brissett is scheduled to make $9.06 million in 2026 but has only $1.5 million in guaranteed money. The Cardinals appear willing to address Brissett's request, per Rapoport. Until a new deal is agreed upon, the 33-year-old quarterback will likely remain away from team activities. Brissett started the final 12 games of the 2025 season for the Cardinals and is expected to serve as the team's starting quarterback in 2026, though he posted an uninspiring 1-11 record as a starter last season.
Quentin Johnston
Quentin Johnston GM shuts down trade rumors
Fri, Apr 17, 2026, 9:21 AM
Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz said Thursday that Johnston isn't on the trade block, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: "There's a lot of rumors out there on Twitter," Hortiz said. "And I can tell you this, I have made zero calls about Quentin, and I've had zero calls regarding Quentin." Johnston is heading into the fourth year of his rookie contract, and the Chargers have until May 1 to decide whether to pick up the 2023 first-round pick's $18.1 million fifth-year option for 2027. The 6-foot-2 wide receiver has recorded eight touchdown catches in each of the last two regular seasons, but Johnston has struggled with drops throughout his NFL career.
De'Von Achane
De'Von Achane Shows up to voluntary wrkouts
Thu, Apr 16, 2026, 1:06 PM
Achane was spotted at the Dolphins' training facility Thursday for the first time since the start of the team's voluntary offseason program, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Entering the final year of his rookie contract, Achane is in the midst of negotiations toward a long-term extension. The Dolphins have shut down trade rumors, and it sounds like Achane is on board for their rebuilding project as long as he's happy with his compensation. Given his age (24) and monstrous production, Achane probably hopes to top Saquon Barkley's RB-leading totals for average annual value ($20.6 million) and fully guaranteed money ($36 million). For now, Achane will focus on learning a new playbook under new head coach Jeff Hafley and offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik. On-field work doesn't start until mid-to-late May, with mandatory minicamp then scheduled for June 2-4.
Cam Ward
Cam Ward May throw passes at minicamp
Thu, Apr 16, 2026, 9:38 AM
Titans GM Mike Borgonzi said Thursday that Ward (shoulder) is on track to throw passes at voluntary minicamp next week, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Analysis: Borgonzi didn't mention if Ward has resumed throwing in individual workouts. The young quarterback suffered an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder during a Week 18 loss at Jacksonville, making an early exit from the final game of a brutal rookie season. Ward started all 17 games, but threw for just 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns in an undermanned offense with subpar coaching. Ward's setup for 2026 looks at least somewhat better, with Brian Daboll taking over the Tennessee offense (under new HC Robert Saleh) and bringing WR Wan'Dale Robinson with him from the Giants. Ward may have limitations during the offseason program, but he has plenty of time to ramp up before the start of training camp in late July.
Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden Primed for larger role
Thu, Apr 16, 2026, 9:23 AM
Golden has a clear path to move up Green Bay's depth chart in the absence of Romeo Doubs (Patriots) and Dontayvion Wicks (Eagles), ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.
Analysis: Green Bay's offseason moves leave Golden, Christian Watson and Jayden Reed without serious competition for the top three spots at wide receiver, pending results of the 2026 NFL Draft. Golden went 23rd overall in last year's draft, yet didn't score his first NFL touchdown until the playoffs. He had four straight games with at least three catches and 37 yards in Weeks 3-7, before averaging just 14.0 yards on 2.6 targets over his final eight appearances of the regular season (shoulder and wrist injuries contributed to the slump). Golden then put up 4-84-1 in a playoff loss at Chicago, restoring some hope for a Year 2 breakout. If nothing else, the Packers seem to be planning a major increase in playing time.
A.J. Brown
A.J. Brown GM Roseman won't reveal much
Wed, Apr 15, 2026, 12:58 PM
Eagles GM Howie Roseman avoided questions about Brown's future while talking with reporters Tuesday, according to Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Roseman initially declined to comment on Brown when answering a two-part question, instead focusing on recent trade acquisition Dontayvion Wicks. When a different reporter asked about Brown again, Roseman responded, "What do you think the odds of me answering this question any different than I answered it anywhere else?" Roseman then repeated his line from earlier this offseason, saying "A.J. Brown's an Eagle." The response will do nothing to quiet trade rumors, with numerous reports suggesting the Eagles had serious talks with the Rams and Patriots in March. From a cap standpoint, it becomes much easier for the Eagles to move on from Brown after June 1, which means this could drag out for a while even if the team has already made an internal decision of sorts.
Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal Officially back with Bolts
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 3:33 PM
Vidal signed his exclusive-rights free-agent tender with the Chargers on Tuesday, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Los Angeles tendered Vidal as an ERFA early March, and the 2024 sixth-round pick now makes his return for the 2026 season official. The Chargers' offseason has seen Najee Harris (Achilles) depart in free agency, though the addition of Keaton Mitchell from Baltimore represents a new change-of-pace option in the backfield, and potential competition for Vidal's grip on the No. 2 role behind Omarion Hampton. That said, Vidal has to be considered the favorite for the backup role after he broke out with a 155-643-3 rushing line across 13 regular-season appearances in 2025, even if Mitchell ultimately sees more pass-catching reps.
Ja'Tavion Sanders
Ja'Tavion Sanders Rehab going well
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 11:08 AM
Panthers GM Dan Morgan said Tuesday that Sanders (fibula) has resumed running and making cuts in his rehab and could be ready for the start of OTAs, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Sanders is recovering from surgery undergone to address a broken right fibula suffered late December. Across 13 regular-season appearances last year, the 2024 fourth-round pick secured 29 of 34 targets for 190 yards and one touchdown. Unless Carolina makes significant additions to the TE position in the 2026 NFL Draft or via free-agent signings, Sanders and Tommy Tremble will be positioned again operate as the team's top options at tight end.
Brandon Allen
Brandon Allen Gets chance with Big Blue
Mon, Apr 13, 2026, 10:44 AM
Allen signed a contract with the Giants on Monday.
Analysis: Allen spent last season with the Titans and saw action in only one contest, a Week 18 loss to the Jaguars in which he completed 17 of 30 passes for 72 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Now, he'll reunite with New York's quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Brian Callahan while providing the team depth behind Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston.
Bijan Robinson
Bijan Robinson Fifth-year option exercised
Fri, Apr 10, 2026, 3:58 PM
The Falcons picked up the fifth-year option of Robinson's rookie contract Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The transaction keeps Robinson under contract through 2027 and provides Atlanta more time to negotiate a potential long-term extension, so it's little surprise to see the team pick up the 2023 first-round pick's fifth-year option. Robinson has compiled back-to-back years with over 1,400 rushing yards, and in 2025 he added a 79-829-4 receiving line (104 targets) while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. The star running back also had seven rushing scores and a career-high 5.1 YPC mark in 2025. Even given the uncertainty surrounding Atlanta's offense -- there's a QB battle between Michael Penix (knee) and Tua Tagovailoa looming this offseason, and the surprise retirement of RT Kaleb McGary (leg) has prompted the team to sign Jawaan Taylor -- Robinson is firmly in the mix for consideration as not only the top RB off the board in 2026 fantasy drafts, but as the No.1 overall selection.
Dontayvion Wicks
Dontayvion Wicks Dealt to Philadelphia
Fri, Apr 10, 2026, 3:41 PM
The Eagles agreed to terms Friday on a trade to acquire Wicks (concussion) from Green Bay in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Wicks will reportedly ink a new one-year, $12.5 million contract with Philadelphia, providing him a substantial pay raise. The soon-to-be 25-year-old wideout doesn't necessarily face an easier path to playing time with his new team, though that could change if rumors surrounding A.J. Brown as a potential trade candidate do ultimately materialize this offseason. Per the current state of the Eagles' roster, all of Brown, DeVonta Smith, Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore and TE Dallas Goedert represent target competition for Wicks, who tallied just a 30-332-2 line across 14 regular-season appearances as a depth option for the Packers in 2025. Wicks appears to have gained full clearance from the concussion that forced him to miss the end of the 2025 campaign.
Travis Hunter
Travis Hunter To be limited in voluntary workouts
Thu, Apr 9, 2026, 4:19 PM
GM James Gladstone noted Thursday that Hunter will "be, for all intents and purposes, a limited participant through the offseason program with eyes on (a) return to play at full tick in training camp," NFL.com reports.
Analysis: Coach Liam Coen indicated at the end of March that Hunter was "very well ahead" of schedule in his recovery from surgery (which took place last November) to address a torn LCL in his right knee, per Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union. At the time, Coen added that he couldn't "say for certain" whether Hunter would take part in the Jaguars offseason program, but it appears as though the CB/WR will participate in some capacity as he works toward being at or near full-go for training camp. According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN, once the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft resumes practicing, he'll take reps on both sides of the ball. However, while Hunter's positional versatility is valuable to the Jaguars, it remains to be seen what level of playing time the Colorado product (who caught 28 passes in seven regular-season games as a rookie) will see on offense in 2026, while working in a wide receiver corps that also includes Brian Thomas, Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington.
Mark Andrews
Mark Andrews Primed for larger role in 2026?
Thu, Apr 9, 2026, 10:56 AM
Andrews said Wednesday that he expects "a lot of opportunities in this offense" after fellow tight ends Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar left the Ravens this offseason, NFL.com reports.
Analysis: More help is probably on the way, but so far Baltimore has only signed blocking specialist Durham Smythe to help replace Likely (Giants) and Kolar (Chargers) at tight end. The Ravens also lost long-time fullback Patrick Ricard, who followed Likely and coach John Harbaugh to New York. Andrews, meanwhile, is entering the first season of the three-year extension he signed in December, with his 2026 compensation fully guaranteed and his 2027 salary partially guaranteed ($5 million out of $9 million). The Ravens clearly have him ticketed for a key role under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, but that doesn't mean Andrews will approach his peak volume (or production). He'll turn 31 in September, coming off back-to-back seasons with less than 4.5 targets and 40 yards per game. Even the TD production slipped in 2025, with Andrews posting a 48-422-5 receiving line (compared to 55-673-11 in 2024) while finishing with career-low marks for yards per catch (8.8) and yards per target (6.0).
J.K. Dobbins
J.K. Dobbins Prioritized in free agency
Wed, Apr 8, 2026, 5:28 PM
Broncos coach Sean Payton said last week that Dobbins was "a priority ahead of all others" this offseason, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Payton went on to describe Dobbins as a "compound multiplier" who "brings 10 others along with him in positive light." The glowing comments came three weeks after Denver re-signed Dobbins to a two-year, $16 million contract. It's essentially a one-year deal, with $8 million guaranteed this year and then a team option for around $8 million in 2027. Broncos GM George Paton said last week that Dobbins has made a full recovery from his season-ending foot injury, noting that the RB might've even played in the Super Bowl if Denver had made it, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Dobbins and RJ Harvey figure to get most of the first-team backfield reps this spring, with Dobbins the current favorite to start Week 1.
C.J. Stroud
C.J. Stroud Fifth-year option picked up
Wed, Apr 8, 2026, 10:51 AM
The Texans have exercised the fifth-year option of Stroud's rookie contract Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Stroud thus remains under contract through 2027, though his fifth-year option being picked up doesn't necessarily preclude Houston from inking the 24-year-old quarterback to an extension. Trade rumors surrounded Stroud early in the offseason, but GM Nick Caserio doubled down on the team's long-term commitments to the 2023 first-round pick during the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine and the league's annual owners meetings. Across 14 regular-season appearances in 2025, Stroud threw for 3,041 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions, the lowest TD and yardage totals of his career to date. The case for Stroud to rebound for fantasy purposes next year relies on projecting wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel to take a step forward in Year 2 alongside No. 1 WR Nico Collins, and potentially also for Tank Dell (knee) to resume producing after missing all of 2025. The Texans also have Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and TE Dalton Schultz (calf) rounding out the receiving corps.
James Conner
James Conner Present for offseason program
Tue, Apr 7, 2026, 5:15 PM
Conner (foot) participated at the start of the Cardinals' offseason program Tuesday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Conner's 2025 campaign was abbreviated due to a foot injury that required surgery and a stint on injured reserve after Week 3. He then worked out a restructured contract with the Cardinals in early March that left him with $2.1 million guaranteed in 2026. The team added Tyler Allgeier to its backfield this offseason on a two-year contract with $8 million in guarantees, while 2024 third-round pick Trey Benson (knee) also remains on the roster. Conner has been Arizona's lead runner since 2021 when healthy, but because he's entering his age-31 season, he may cede more of the RB reps to Allgeier this fall under new coach Mike LaFleur.
Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo Attending voluntary workouts
Tue, Apr 7, 2026, 3:22 PM
Skattebo (ankle) is present for the start of voluntary workouts Tuesday, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Analysis: New Giants HC John Harbaugh said Tuesday that Skattebo (ankle) is ahead of WR Malik Nabers (ACL) in his rehab, and that both players are present for the start of voluntary workouts Tuesday. Per Harbaugh, it is possible Skattebo will resume handling on-field activities this spring. The 2025 fourth-round pick attended Arizona State's Pro Day in late March and was spotted jogging and running without any apparent issues. He suffered a dislocated right ankle late October and appears to tentatively be on track for the start of OTAs.
De'Von Achane
De'Von Achane Not present for voluntary workouts
Tue, Apr 7, 2026, 2:05 PM
Achane is not attending the beginning of Miami's voluntary workouts Tuesday, C. Isaiah Smalls of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Achane is absent from voluntary workouts due to his pursuit of a contract extension. The star running back is currently entering the final year of his rookie deal, and new head coach Jeff Hafley said "I'm not going to dive into those talks right now" when asked on Tuesday about the status of a potential long-term deal for Achane. Earlier this offseason, new GM Jon-Eric Sullivan referred to Achane as "a building block" on offense and stated that the team will make "zero effort" to trade the versatile RB, despite the fact that WR Jaylen Waddle was spoken about in similar terms and then dealt to Denver for a package including a 2026 first-round pick. Meanwhile, new QB Malik Willis is present for the start of voluntary workouts and building familiarity with Miami's scheme.
David Sills
David Sills Inks with Tampa Bay
Tue, Apr 7, 2026, 1:19 PM
The Buccaneers signed Sills on Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Sills logged career-best numbers during his only season with the Falcons in 2025, securing 18 of 36 targets for 191 yards and two touchdowns across 17 regular-season appearances. The 6-foot-3, 211-pound wideout will now work to secure a role on Tampa Bay's crowded wide receiver depth chart.
Ian Thomas
Ian Thomas Re-ups with Raiders
Tue, Apr 7, 2026, 12:17 PM
Las Vegas re-signed Thomas to a one-year contract Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Thomas will run it back with the Raiders after having secured all 13 of his targets for 114 yards across 15 regular-season appearances with the team in 2025. He projects for a blocking role behind Brock Bowers (knee) and Michael Mayer again next season.
