Dominick Barlow
Dominick Barlow puts up 21/19 line in blowout win
Sun, Apr 9, 2023, 4:38 PM
Dominick Barlow recorded a double-double on Sunday with 21 points (8-for-11 FGs), 19 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in a 138-117 win over Dallas.
Analysis: What a way for the Spurs to end their season. Despite spending the majority of the year competing for better lottery odds, they dominated their in-state opponent to get their 22nd win of the season. Eight different players scored in double figures for the Spurs, as they were led by Barlow’s dominant performance. Malaki Branham scored 20 points while Sandro Mamukelashvili added 23 points and 11 rebounds. Julian Champagnie recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Keita Bates-Diop scored 17, with Tre Jones adding 13 as starters. Gorgui Dieng added a 13/10 double-double, with Blake Wesley adding a 10/6/9 line off the bench. The majority of these guys won’t be seeing minutes to open next season, but they’ve had a few weeks of glory down the stretch this year.
Romeo Langford
Romeo Langford (groin) available Sunday vs. Dallas
Sun, Apr 9, 2023, 2:38 PM
NBA Injury Report
Romeo Langford (left adductor injury management) will play against Dallas on Sunday.
Analysis: Langford will play a role off the bench for the second straight game. He played 19 minutes on Saturday and should see a similar workload in game 82.
Devonte' Graham
Devonte' Graham (groin) out Sunday vs. Dallas

Noah Magaro-George on Twitter
Devonte' Graham (left adductor strain) will not play against the Mavericks on Sunday.
Analysis: Graham will miss a third straight game to close out the season. Tre Jones and Malaki Branham should continue to start in the backcourt, with Blake Wesley playing the backup guard minutes.
Keldon Johnson
Keldon Johnson, Doug McDermott out again Sunday

Noah Magaro-George on Twitter
Keldon Johnson (sprained right foot) and Doug McDermott (right ankle sprain) have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Mavs.
Analysis: Both players were out on Saturday, which allowed Keita Bates-Diop and Julian Champagnie to start at the forward spots with Dominick Barlow playing big minutes off the bench once again.
Romeo Langford
Romeo Langford (groin) questionable Sunday vs. DAL
Sun, Apr 9, 2023, 10:05 AM
Noah Magaro-George on Twitter
Romeo Langford (left adductor injury management) is questionable for for Sunday's matchup with Dallas.
Analysis: Langford played on Saturday and saw 19 minutes off the bench. However, if he sits the second leg of a back-to-back, Malaki Branham and Blake Wesley will likely fill his minutes.
Justin Champagnie
Julian Champagnie scores 24 points with 5 triples
Sat, Apr 8, 2023, 6:18 PM
Julian Champagnie accounted for 24 points (8-of-16 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, and five 3-pointers in Saturday's 151-131 loss to Minnesota, playing 31 minutes.
Analysis: Champagnie finished Saturday's game two points shy of his career-high, which he established in an April 2 win over Sacramento. And the undrafted rookie out of St. John's has made the most of his opportunity in San Antonio, scoring 24 points or more in three of his last four games. With Sunday's game in Dallas being the last of the season and the second of a back-to-back, the Spurs' injury list stands to be even longer than usual. But Champagnie is one player who should be safe from injury management status. And with Dallas already sitting most of its key players, Champagnie could be in for another good afternoon.
Tre Jones
Tre Jones drops 21/10/12 line with one 3-pointer
Sat, Apr 8, 2023, 6:14 PM
Jordan Howenstine on Twitter
Tre Jones played 32 minutes in Saturday's 151-131 loss to Minnesota, accounting for 21 points (9-of-14 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, 12 assists, and one 3-pointer.
Analysis: Jones made some history on Saturday, becoming the fifth Spurs player in franchise history to record multiple triple-doubles in the same season. He joins David Robinson, Johnny Moore, Alvin Robertson, and Dejounte Murray on that esteemed list. With Saturday's defeat, San Antonio is tied with Houston for the second-worst record in the NBA, and they'll finish no lower than third on that list. Jones hasn't played both ends of a back-to-back since January 6-7, so there's a good chance that he won't be available for Sunday's game against the Mavericks. If that happens, Malaki Branham (17/4/1 in 25 minutes) and Blake Wesley (14/5/4/2/1 with two 3-pointers in 34 minutes) would be players of greater importance within the Spurs' rotation.
Justin Champagnie
SAS starting Jones, Branham, Champagnie, KBD, Mamu
Sat, Apr 8, 2023, 2:40 PM
Tre Jones, Malaki Branham, Julian Champagnie, Keita Bates-Diop, and Sandro Mamukelashvili will start Saturday's game against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: With Keldon Johnson (foot) and Zach Collins (finger) both ruled out, Champagnie and Mamukelashvili are in the starting lineup. In the case of the latter, he could also start on Sunday, as the Spurs have sent Collins back to San Antonio (he will not play in Dallas). As for Jones, we'll see how much he plays with this being the second-to-last game of the season.
Romeo Langford
Romeo Langford (adductor) available for Saturday
Sat, Apr 8, 2023, 2:24 PM
Matthew Tynan on Twitter
Romeo Langford (left adductor injury management) is available for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Initially listed as questionable, Langford has been cleared to play in San Antonio's second-to-last game of the season. With Keldon Johnson (foot) ruled out, Langford could move into the starting lineup, which would give him increased value in deeper leagues that are still active.
Zach Collins
Zach Collins (finger) to miss final two games
Sat, Apr 8, 2023, 1:59 PM
Tom Orsborn on Twitter
Zach Collins (finger laceration, left hand) has been ruled out for San Antonio's final two games of the season.
Analysis: Collins experienced some issues with the stitches on his left hand, so the Spurs decided to send him back to San Antonio (Saturday's game is being played in Austin) for further treatment. He'll also sit out Sunday's game against the Mavericks, which means that Sandro Mamukelashvili should get two starts under his belt. Collins wasn't on the fantasy radar to begin the season but emerged as a player who needed to be rostered in standard leagues in anticipation of the Spurs eventually trading Jakob Poeltl (which did happen). Collins finishes the season as a 13th-round player in 9-cat formats, and his fantasy prospects for next season will be heavily influenced by what moves the Spurs make during the offseason.
Keldon Johnson
Keldon Johnson (foot) downgraded to out Saturday
Sat, Apr 8, 2023, 1:55 PM
Tim Orsborn on Twitter
Keldon Johnson has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves with a sprained right foot.
Analysis: With the Spurs playing for draft lottery odds, there's no reason to have key players risk aggravating current injuries. Johnson played in Thursday's win over Portland, but he won't see action against Minnesota. His absence will free up additional minutes for Julian Champagnie, who has played well since joining the team.
Doug McDermott
Doug McDermott, Devonte' Graham still out Saturday
Fri, Apr 7, 2023, 6:24 PM
NBA Injury Report
Doug McDermott (sprained right ankle) and Devonte' Graham (left adductor strain) will remain sidelined for Saturday's matchup with Minnesota.
Analysis: Both players missed Thursday's game and will remain out for the second to last game of the season. McDermott's absence will open up minutes for Dominick Barlow and Julian Champagnie, while Graham's absence will allow Blake Wesley to play the backup guard minutes.
Keldon Johnson
Keldon Johnson, Romeo Langford questionable Sat.
Fri, Apr 7, 2023, 6:02 PM
NBA Injury Report
Keldon Johnson (right foot sprain) and Romeo Langford (left adductor injury management) are questionable to play against the Timberwolves on Saturday.
Analysis: Both Johnson and Langford have been in and out of the lineup for the Spurs lately, but both were available to play on Thursday. Johnson started and scored 24 in 32 minutes, while Langford only played 18 minutes off the bench. Johnson's potential absence would open up a starting spot for Julian Champagnie, while Langford's absence would just leave a few extra minutes for Champagnie and Dominick Barlow.
Zach Collins
Zach Collins records 21/10/4/0/3 stat line vs. POR
Thu, Apr 6, 2023, 9:51 PM
Zach Collins played 30 minutes in Thursday's 129-127 win over Portland, scoring 21 points (9-of-14 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs) with 10 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and one 3-pointer.
Analysis: Collins, Keldon Johnson, and Romeo Langford (4/3/3/1 in 18 minutes) were all cleared for Thursday's game, with the first two being starters. And they came through in a big way for the Spurs and fantasy managers, with Collins and Johnson (24/5/4/1 with one 3-pointer) combining to score 45 points. When available, Collins is a player who has to be rostered. However, with the Spurs finishing their season with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back, it's safe to assume that Collins and Johnson will miss at least one of those games. If so, players such as Sandro Mamukelashvili and Dominick Barlow will be of heightened importance.
Keita Bates-Diop
Keita Bates-Diop scores season-high 25 PTS vs. POR
Thu, Apr 6, 2023, 9:39 PM
Keita Bates-Diop shot 7-of-11 from the field and 9-of-10 from the foul line in Thursday's 129-127 win over Portland, scoring 25 points with six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes.
Analysis: Bates-Diop has hit double figures in five straight and eight of his last nine games, with Thursday's effort being the best of the bunch. The 25 points represent a season-high for the former first-round pick. Rostered in just 8% of Yahoo leagues at this point in the season, KBD has only missed one game since the All-Star break. With San Antonio closing out its season with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back against the Timberwolves and Mavericks, Bates-Diop may be one of the few "sure things" as far as the team's rotation is concerned. If your league is still active, KBD would make for a solid addition. Another Spurs player worthy of consideration is Julian Champagnie, who notched a career-high 24 points with five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and five 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
Devin Vassell
Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan likely done for year
Thu, Apr 6, 2023, 7:34 PM
Tom Orsborn on Twitter
Devin Vassell (left knee injury management) and Jeremy Sochan (right knee soreness) are unlikely to be available for either of the Spurs' final two games of the season.
Analysis: Vassell and Sochan were two of the Spurs ruled out for Thursday's game against Portland, and it appears unlikely that either will play again this season. Before the game, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich disclosed that neither has been able to practice recently. "Jeremy has got his knee problem, and so does Devin Vassell...There are legitimate medical reasons why some guys aren't playing very much at the end of the year," Popovich said. The absences will free up additional playing time for some of the Spurs' younger players, most notably Malaki Branham.
Zach Collins
SAS starting Tre, Malaki, Keldon, KBD, Collins
Thu, Apr 6, 2023, 6:42 PM
NBA Starting Lineups
The Spurs will start Tre Jones, Malaki Branham, Keldon Johnson, Keita Bates-Diop and Zach Collins against Portland on Thursday.
Analysis: This is a pretty normal starting unit for the Spurs, considering how many players they have been playing without, and the lineup Portland is rolling out against them. Collins and Johnson return to the starting unit, as they take over for Devonte' Graham (groin, out) and Sandro Mamukelashvili.
Keldon Johnson
Keldon Johnson, Collins, Langford available Thurs.
Thu, Apr 6, 2023, 6:20 PM
Paul Garcia on Twitter
Keldon Johnson (sprained right foot), Zach Collins (left fifth finger laceration), and Romeo Langford (left adductor injury management) are available for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Johnson, Collins, and Langford are all good to go for Thursday, with the first two set to be starters. What remains to be seen is how much they'll play. Hopefully, with the Spurs closing the season with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back, Johnson and Collins will be allowed to take on full workloads Thursday night.
Zach Collins
Zach Collins (finger) probable Thursday vs. POR
Wed, Apr 5, 2023, 6:56 PM
NBA Injury Report
Zach Collins (left fifth finger laceration) is probable for Thursday's game against Portland.
Analysis: Collins appears to be on track to make his return after sitting out Tuesday's loss to the Suns. Should he be cleared to play, Sandro Mamukelashvili would return to the bench but will still have value in deeper leagues. Mamu's fantasy value would take a hit, but not to the point where he should be dropped.
Keldon Johnson
Keldon Johnson, Romeo Langford questionable Thurs.
Wed, Apr 5, 2023, 6:54 PM
NBA Injury Report
Keldon Johnson (right foot sprain) and Romeo Langford (left adductor injury management) are questionable to play against the Trail Blazers on Thursday.
Analysis: Johnson has missed their last two games, with Langford having only played in one of their last three games. Langford only played seven minutes in the game he played, so his availability won't impact fantasy hoops. Johnson should slide back into the starting unit if he's available. Devonte' Graham has been ruled out, but he started in their last game, so Johnson should take over that starting spot.
