Jalen Williams
Jalen Williams (hamstring) did not suffer setback
Sun, May 31, 2026, 11:24 AM
Justin Martinez
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said prior to Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals that Jalen Williams (hamstring) did not suffer a setback during Game 6.
Analysis: In Game 6, J-Dub returned from a left hamstring injury that he aggravated during Game 2 of the series. Initially injured during the first round, he played just 10 minutes and was ruled out for Saturday's Game 7 loss to the Spurs. However, before the season-ending defeat, Daigneault made it clear that Williams did not suffer a setback during his brief Game 6 appearance. He did not go through the standard return-to-play protocols, and it was clear that Williams was not his usual self. “He didn't do a full return to play, obviously,” Daigneault said. “We knew he wouldn't be a full 100 percent. He, or we, didn't know what that would look like and what he'd be able to do when he got out in the game. The only way to find out was to get him out there.” He should be good to go when training camp opens in late September, and fantasy managers hope that J-Dub will be more available than he was this season. He appeared in just 33 regular-season games, not making his debut until late November after undergoing offseason wrist surgery.
Luguentz Dort
Luguentz Dort hopes to remain with Oklahoma City
Sun, May 31, 2026, 10:04 AM
Joel Lorenzi
Luguentz Dort said on Sunday that his “main goal” is to remain with the Thunder.
Analysis: Oklahoma City's second came to an end on Saturday, as they dropped Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals to the Spurs. And with that, the front office has decisions to make regarding the futures of Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein and Kenrich Williams. Each has a team option for next season, with Dort's being worth a little over $17.7 million. The defensive stalwart hopes to remain with the lone team that he's played for since entering the NBA in 2019. “The conversation hasn't happened yet,” Dort said when asked about his team option. “I have a lot of trust in this organization, in Sam (Presti). Really grateful for all the stuff he did for me to this point. I want to stay here. This organization, this city, shaped me as a player. My main goal is to stay here.” Dort has not been a consistently impactful option for fantasy managers in recent seasons. Still, his future in Oklahoma City could affect the ceilings of Ajay Mitchell, Cason Wallace and Jared McCain. If the Thunder were to move on from Dort, there would be an opening in the starting lineup to fill.
De'Aaron Fox
De'Aaron Fox sinks three triples in Game 7 win
Sat, May 30, 2026, 5:46 PM
De'Aaron Fox tallied 15 points (6-of-12 FGs), five assists, three steals and three three-pointers in Saturday's Game 7 win over the Thunder.
Analysis: After shooting 2-of-15 from three in the first six games of the Western Conference Finals, Fox shot 3-of-7 in Game 7. In total, seven Spurs scored in double figures, with the balanced effort being enough to counter Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who put up a game-high 35 points. Fox will now make his first NBA Finals appearance, with the Spurs hosting the Knicks in Game 1 on Wednesday.
Jaylin Williams
Jaylin Williams records 11/10/4 line in Game 7
Sat, May 30, 2026, 5:05 PM
Jaylin Williams recorded 11 points (5-of-9 FGs), 10 rebounds, four assists and one three-pointer in Saturday's Game 7 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Williams shone in Game 7, recording his first double-double of these playoffs. Given the struggles of Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein (seven points, five rebounds and one steal), JayWill's production was one reason why the Thunder had a chance late. Williams has not been a consistent option for fantasy managers during his time in Oklahoma City, but that could change next season. Hartenstein has a team option worth $28.5 million, while new deals for Holmgren and Jalen Williams will begin. The salary cap situation could make JayWill someone whom the Thunder have to rely on more in 2026-27.
Chet Holmgren
Chet Holmgren limited to four points in Game 7
Sat, May 30, 2026, 5:04 PM
Chet Holmgren produced four points (1-of-2 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, two steals and two blocks in Saturday's Game 7 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Holmgren picked the worst possible time to have one of his worst games of the season. Due to injuries, the Thunder needed more production from the 7-foot-1 forward/center, and he was unable to answer the call. Holmgren attempted just two shots from the field, an inexcusable number given his talent and what was on the line. However, for as disappointing as his Game 7 performance was, Holmgren will remain a highly regarded player in fantasy basketball. He finished this regular season as a second-round player, and that should be the case in 2026-27.
Cason Wallace
Cason Wallace connects on five three-pointers
Sat, May 30, 2026, 5:03 PM
Cason Wallace accounted for 17 points (6-of-10 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and five three-pointers in Saturday's Game 7 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Making his second start of the Western Conference Finals, Wallace stepped up with his best performance of the 2026 NBA Playoffs. The Thunder guard shot 5-of-9 from beyond the arc and recorded a complete stat line. On a night when three other starters failed to score in double figures, Wallace was one of Oklahoma City's most capable options in Game 7. Due to the team's depth, his fantasy ceiling has been somewhat limited, but Wallace has been a solid option in category leagues. He'll be extension eligible this summer, and a larger role could be in the cards for 2026-27, especially considering Luguentz Dort's struggles.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scores game-high 35 points
Sat, May 30, 2026, 5:02 PM
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 35 points (12-of-21 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), four rebounds, nine assists, three steals, one block and two three-pointers in Saturday's Game 7 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: With no Jalen Williams or Ajay Mitchell, Gilgeous-Alexander was once again in a position where he needed to put the Thunder on his back. The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player was outstanding in Game 7, but the Spurs received more contributions across the board, and that was the difference. Gilgeous-Alexander was one of the best players in fantasy basketball this season, regardless of position, and that shouldn't change anytime soon. Regardless of league format, SGA should go no lower than third overall in fantasy drafts next fall.
Julian Champagnie
Julian Champagnie sinks six three-pointers
Sat, May 30, 2026, 5:02 PM
Julian Champagnie amassed 20 points (6-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and six three-pointers in Saturday's Game 7 win over the Thunder.
Analysis: Champagnie came through with his second 20-point game of the Western Conference Finals, helping the Spurs clinch their first NBA Finals trip in 12 years. Shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, the Spurs' forward knocked down key shots at key times, including one triple that extended San Antonio's lead to 11 with 5:33 remaining in the fourth quarter. Champagnie and the Spurs will host the Knicks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
Victor Wembanyama
Victor Wembanyama scores 22 in Game 7 victory
Sat, May 30, 2026, 5:01 PM
Victor Wembanyama finished Saturday's Game 7 win over the Thunder with 22 points (7-of-15 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers.
Analysis: Thought to be a year away from truly contending, Wembanyama and the Spurs are headed to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014. While his stat line wasn't the gaudiest, the 7-foot-4 sensation's fingerprints were all over Game 7. Wembanyama thoroughly outplayed Oklahoma City's Chet Holmgren and finished with a complete stat line. Next up for San Antonio are the Knicks, with Game 1 of the NBA Finals scheduled for Wednesday night.
Cason Wallace
Cason Wallace to start Game 7 vs. San Antonio
Sat, May 30, 2026, 1:43 PM
NBA Lineups
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cason Wallace, Luguentz Dort, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein will start Saturday's Game 7 against the Spurs.
Analysis: After calling on Jared McCain to serve as the fifth starter in Games 5 and 6, the Thunder turn to Wallace to fill the void left by Jalen Williams (hamstring). The third-year guard started Game 4, logging 21 minutes and finishing with five points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals and one three-pointer. Wallace will look to offer greater production on Saturday, with the winner headed to the NBA Finals. Despite moving to the bench, McCain will still figure prominently in the Thunder rotation.
Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Irving (knee) ‘close to being over at 100%'
Sat, May 30, 2026, 10:05 AM
Mike Curtis
Kyrie Irving (knee) said via his Twitch stream that he is “close to being over at 100%" recovered from the injury that ended his 2024-25 season in March 2025.
Analysis: Irving has not appeared in a game since suffering a torn left ACL in March 2025. While there was some optimism last summer that the point guard was ahead of schedule, he did not play at all during the 2025-26 campaign. Based on Irving's words during a recent livestream, he's on track to be good to go for the start of the 2026-27 season. “I am definitely close to being over at 100% in terms of my ACL recovery,” Irving said on Friday. “It's been a while now…I'm so grateful that I've had the time to heal and just experiment with my body more on the court and off the court in the weight room & just pushing myself to the limit.” With Cooper Flagg coming off a Rookie of the Year season and the Mavericks adding another lottery pick to the mix this summer, it will be interesting to see where Irving fits in the rebuild under new lead executive Masai Ujiri. A healthy Irving can provide top-25 fantasy value, but his playing time could be limited early on for injury management reasons.
Jalen Duren
Amick: “huge gap” in Pistons, Duren negotiations
Sat, May 30, 2026, 7:31 AM
Sam Amick
Sam Amick of the Athletic believes initially there will be a “huge gap” in negotiations between the Pistons and Jalen Duren this offseason.
Analysis: Duren was named to the All-NBA third-team last week, making him eligible for a max contract worth up to $287 million over five years. Amick, who appeared on the Run It Back show Friday, said he has a hard time seeing the Pistons offering that much, which potentially could leave the organization and the player far apart in negotiations initially. With only a handful of teams with cap space this offseason, Duren, a restricted free agent, may still get his best offer from the Pistons, even if it isn't a max deal.
Jalen Williams
Jalen Williams (hamstring) ruled out for Game 7
Fri, May 29, 2026, 12:26 PM
NBA Injury Report
Jalen Williams (hamstring) is out for Saturday's game 7 against the Spurs.
Analysis: After missing Games 3, 4 and 5 of the Western Conference Finals, J-Dub made his return to action in Thursday's Game 6. The forward came off the bench and looked like a shell of himself in the 10 minutes that he played. With Ajay Mitchell (calf) also out, Jared McCain will remain in the starting lineup. After scoring 20 points in Game 5, McCain was limited to 13 in Game 6.
Mitchell Robinson
Mitchell Robinson (finger) plans to play in Game 1
Fri, May 29, 2026, 6:27 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Mitchell Robinson underwent surgery on his broken pinky finger and plans to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
Analysis: Robinson will be available to face either the Spurs or Thunder, and he'll play with a brace on his hand. New York relies on Robinson for his rebounding and elite defense, so this is certainly a welcomed update for Knicks fans.
De'Aaron Fox
De'Aaron Fox struggles in Game 6 win over Thunder
Thu, May 28, 2026, 5:28 PM
De'Aaron Fox had five points (1-of-9 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), five rebounds and seven assists in Thursday's Game 6 win over the Thunder.
Analysis: Fox missed the first two games of the series with an ankle injury and hasn't looked 100 percent since returning. While he's played through injury, his point totals and field goal percentages have declined in all four games he's played in this series. Fox had 15 points in Game 3, 12 in Game 4, nine in Game 5 and five in Game 6. He'll likely need to break this trend and score more than five points in Game 7 on Saturday if the Spurs are going to advance to the NBA Finals.
Jalen Williams
Jalen Williams plays 10 minutes in Game 6 loss
Thu, May 28, 2026, 5:21 PM
Jalen Williams had one point (0-of-1 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs) and one assist in Thursday's Game 6 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Williams had a rough go of it in his first action since Game 2 of this series. The 25-year-old small forward had one point in 10 minutes and was -18. Williams was clearly playing at less than 100 percent and giving the Thunder what he could. Coach Mark Daigneault said after the game that the Thunder will see how Williams feels about playing Game 7.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander struggles in Game 6 loss
Thu, May 28, 2026, 5:11 PM
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 15 points (6-of-18 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), one rebound and four assists in the Thunder's loss to the Spurs in Game 6 on Thursday.
Analysis: Gilgeous-Alexander's 15 points were his lowest total all season long and his -28 was his worst since last year's conference finals. He was 6-of-18 and missed all five of his three-point attempts. Gilgeous-Alexander wasn't able to bounce back in the second half as the Thunder lost the third quarter 32-13. He'll need to bounce back in Game 7 on Saturday if the Thunder are going to repeat as Western Conference Champions.
Victor Wembanyama
Wembanyama has 28 points as Spurs force Game 7
Thu, May 28, 2026, 5:03 PM
Victor Wembanyama had 28 points (10-of-21 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and four three-pointers in the Spurs' 118-91 victory over the Thunder in Game 6 on Thursday.
Analysis: Wembanyama said in his postgame interview that the Spurs haven't done anything yet. He means that the Spurs haven't won the series yet, but San Antonio played a nearly flawless Game 6 just to stay alive in this series. The Spurs led wire-to-wire and dominated from the outset, winning the first quarter 35-22. Coming out of halftime, they outscored the Thunder 32-13 in the third quarter. Wembanyama's 28 points were a game-high. He and the Spurs will play in the NBA's 160th Game 7 on Saturday.
Jalen Williams
Jalen Williams (hamstring) active, but won't start
Thu, May 28, 2026, 2:22 PM
Jalen Williams (hamstring) is available for Thursday's Game 6 against the Spurs.
Analysis: Williams hasn't played since injuring his hamstring in Game 2 of the series. He was questionable again for Game 6, but was ultimately ruled in. Jared McCain had 20 points in Game 5 and will start again. Williams won't start and it's unclear how many minutes the Thunder might allow him to play off the bench.
Terry Rozier
Prosecutors file new charges against Terry Rozier
Thu, May 28, 2026, 1:35 PM
Mike Vorkunov
Federal prosecutors filed new charges against Terry Rozier.
Analysis: Federal prosecutors say Rozier, who played 10 seasons in the NBA, took a roughly $100,000 “bribe” to exit early from a March 2023 Hornets game so a group of sports gamblers could win bets on his props. A lawyer for Rozier denied that he was paid to change his performance. In the game in question, Rozier played 10 minutes, had five points and two assists. He last played for the Heat during the 2024-25 season and was placed on immediate leave following federal indictments last year.
