Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (oblique) to be re-evaluated Friday
Thu, Mar 12, 2026, 4:12 PM
Ky Carlin
Joel Embiid (oblique) will be re-evaluated on Friday.
Analysis: Embiid has missed Philadelphia's last six games with a strained oblique, and five games last month with a knee injury. To say that the 76ers have struggled in the former MVP's absence would be an understatement, especially since Tyrese Maxey went down with a finger injury. For Thursday's loss to the Pistons, the 76ers didn't have Andre Drummond or Adem Bona, either. Dominick Barlow served as the starting center, finishing with 11 points, four rebounds, two steals, one block and one three-pointer.
Cameron Payne
Cameron Payne records 15 points, two assists
Thu, Mar 12, 2026, 3:38 PM
Cameron Payne finished Thursday's loss to the Pistons with 15 points (5-of-10 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), one rebound, two assists and two three-pointers.
Analysis: Once again used in a reserve role, Payne's streak of consecutive made three-pointers ended at 10 during Thursday's defeat. He still had a solid night scoring-wise, but those who have streamed him may have hoped for a better assist tally. Even if Payne continues to come off the bench, which is likely since the 76ers want to put the ball in VJ Edgecombe's hands more, he's worth streaming while Tyrese Maxey (finger) is out.
MarJon Beauchamp
MarJon Beauchamp leads Philadelphia with 17 points
Thu, Mar 12, 2026, 3:37 PM
MarJon Beauchamp tallied 17 points (7-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, one block and two three-pointers in Thursday's loss to the Pistons.
Analysis: The 76ers' many absences freed up opportunities for players who normally would not be guaranteed rotation minutes, including Beauchamp. Just over a month removed from scoring a then-season high 10 points, the former first-round pick surpassed that number in Detroit. Beauchamp's night won't affect fantasy basketball, but it could be a step toward him earning a standard contract somewhere for next season.
Trendon Watford
PHI starts VJ, Edwards, Grimes, Watford, Barlow
Thu, Mar 12, 2026, 12:35 PM
Philadelphia 76ers
VJ Edgecombe, Justin Edwards, Quentin Grimes, Trendon Watford and Dominick Barlow will start Thursday's game against the Pistons.
Analysis: The 76ers won't have Joel Embiid, Adem Bona or Andre Drummond for Thursday's game. As a result, Barlow shifts to the starting center spot, with Watford moving into the starting lineup. Also, Edwards starts because Kelly Oubre Jr. is out.
Andre Drummond
Andre Drummond (back) downgraded to out vs. DET
Thu, Mar 12, 2026, 12:22 PM
NBA Injury Report
Andre Drummond (back) is out for Thursday's game against the Pistons.
Analysis: Already without Joel Embiid and Adem Bona, the 76ers won't have Drummond for Thursday's game, either. Expect to see plenty of Jabari Walker, and he's worth streaming despite the challenging matchup.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona (back) is out on Thursday
Thu, Mar 12, 2026, 7:19 AM
Adem Bona (back) is out for Thursday's game against the Pistons.
Analysis: Joel Embiid (oblique) is also out, and Andre Drummond (back spasms) is questionable, so the 76ers will be very short-handed against a Pistons team with a talented frontcourt. If Drummond can't play, the 76ers will likely turn to Dominick Barlow as more of a small-ball center with Trendon Watford and Jabari Walker playing more minutes.
Kelly Oubre
Kelly Oubre Jr. (elbow) out at least two weeks
Wed, Mar 11, 2026, 11:10 AM
Noah Levick
Kelly Oubre Jr. (elbow) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Analysis: The 76ers will be down another starter for the foreseeable future, as Oubre has been diagnosed with a sprained LCL in his left elbow. Trendon Watford is a potential replacement in the starting lineup, and this would make him worthy of a look in deep leagues.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona (back) questionable vs. Detroit
Wed, Mar 11, 2026, 11:05 AM
NBA Injury Report
Adem Bona (back) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Pistons.
Analysis: Bona is dealing with a sore back. With Joel Embiid (oblique) still out, the 76ers would rely mainly on Andre Drummond and Jabari Walker if Bona can't play against the Pistons.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes starts again, scores 22 points
Tue, Mar 10, 2026, 4:37 PM
Quentin Grimes lit up the Grizzlies with 22 points (6-of-16 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), three rebounds, two assists and two steals on Tuesday.
Analysis: This was a fifth straight start for Grimes, and while the first was rough, he has averaged 20.3 points over the last four while shooting 50 percent from the floor. He hasn't offered much in other categories, but the 76ers will need his continued offensive production with Tyrese Maxey (pinky) set to miss at least three weeks. Grimes should continue to see a bump in minutes and scoring moving forward.
Kelly Oubre
Oubre drops season-high 31 points vs. Memphis
Tue, Mar 10, 2026, 4:31 PM
Kelly Oubre Jr. recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 31 points (10-of-24 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and one three-pointer against the Grizzlies.
Analysis: Oubre stepped up in a big way for the shorthanded 76ers in this one. He set new season highs for both points and rebounds in the win while also recording his fourth double-double of the season. Oubre has been a decent option when he has started this year, but with Tyrese Maxey (pinky) set to miss a few weeks and both Joel Embiid and Paul George still unavailable, Oubre will continue to be vital to the team's success, which should lead to more outings like this.
Cameron Payne
Cam Payne shoots perfect, scores 32 points in win
Tue, Mar 10, 2026, 4:02 PM
Cameron Payne provided a boost off the bench with 32 points (9-of-10 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, 10 assists, three steals, two blocks and eight three-pointers in a 139-129 win over the Grizzlies on Tuesday.
Analysis: Payne was pushed back to the bench with VJ Edgecombe (back) available, but he still played an important role off the bench. He had a monster first half, scoring 16 points with four three-pointers without missing a shot while also adding three stocks. Though he didn't remain perfect from the floor, he did remain perfect from deep and the free throw line in what ended up being an incredible performance from Payne. This was the first time in franchise history that a player made at least eight triples without missing, and he became the first 76ers reserve to finish with at least 30 points and 10 assists while coming off the bench. The 31-year-old who signed a standard deal to return to the NBA during the All-Star break ended up setting new career highs for both points and three-pointers. With Tyrese Maxey (pinky) set to be re-evaluated in three weeks, Payne will be an important piece for the 76ers for the rest of this month and should be considered a must-roster player after this performance.
Tyrese Maxey
Shams: Maxey (finger) out at least three weeks
Tue, Mar 10, 2026, 12:39 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports Tyrese Maxey (finger) will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
Analysis: Maxey has a tendon injury in his right pinky finger, which is his shooting hand. The injury occurred in Saturday's loss to Atlanta, and he missed Monday's game against the Cavaliers and had already been ruled out against the Grizzlies on Tuesday. This will have Maxey being re-evaluated on March 31, though he could remain sidelined longer than that. VJ Edgecombe is set to serve as the starting point guard against Memphis and could remain in that role for most of this month, with Cameron Payne filling out the backup minutes.
Cameron Payne
Cameron Payne records 12 points, four assists
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 3:33 PM
Cameron Payne accounted for 12 points (4-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, four assists and two three-pointers in Monday's loss to the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Payne filled in as the starting point guard, as the 76ers were without Tyrese Maxey due to a sprained finger. While the scoring output was somewhat limited, the veteran point guard did not commit a turnover in his 28 minutes. With Maxey already ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, Payne will retain streaming value for at least one more game.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes leads Philadelphia with 17 points
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 3:33 PM
Quentin Grimes finished Monday's loss to the Cavaliers with 17 points (6-of-13 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, three assists and two three-pointers.
Analysis: With no Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe or Joel Embiid, there was plenty of room for Grimes to put points on the board. The 17 points were a team-high, and fantasy managers can benefit from the rebounds, assists and three-pointers as well. With Maxey and Embiid ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, Grimes will once again figure prominently in the 76ers' offense in what should be a more fantasy-friendly matchup.
Cameron Payne
PHI starts Payne, Grimes, Oubre, Barlow, Bona
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 12:36 PM
Philadelphia 76ers
Cameron Payne, Quentin Grimes, Kelly Oubre Jr., Dominick Barlow and Adem Bona will start Monday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Already without VJ Edgecombe, the 76ers won't have Tyrese Maxey for at least the next two games. The All-Star guard has been replaced in the lineup by Payne, who's worth streaming in deep leagues. However, Grimes should be the priority add for fantasy managers.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey (finger) to see specialist this week
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 11:55 AM
Ky Carlin
76ers head coach Nick Nurse said on Monday that Tyrese Maxey (finger) will see a specialist later this week.
Analysis: Maxey sprained a finger on his right late in Saturday's loss to the Hawks. While a fracture was ruled out, the All-Star point guard will miss at least the first two games of Philadelphia's five-game week. The hope is that Maxey won't be out for much longer than that. Cameron Payne is likely to serve as the starting point guard, and he's worthy of streaming consideration in deep leagues.
Tyrese Maxey
Report: Tyrese Maxey (finger) out next two games
Sun, Mar 8, 2026, 11:04 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Tyrese Maxey (finger) is out for Philadelphia's next two games.
Analysis: The good news is that Maxey has been diagnosed with a sprained finger on his right hand, ruling out a fracture following his injury late in Saturday's loss to the Hawks. His absence on Monday and Tuesday likely means Cameron Payne will move into the starting lineup. While erratic, the opportunity makes Payne a worthwhile streamer in deep leagues.
Kelly Oubre
Kelly Oubre Jr. (illness) scores 24 in return
Sat, Mar 7, 2026, 2:39 PM
Kelly Oubre Jr. (illness) amassed 24 points (10-of-15 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Saturday's loss to the Hawks.
Analysis: Back in the 76ers' lineup after a two-game absence, Oubre looked spry in his 36 minutes on the court. The lone negatives for him were the free-throw percentage and turnovers, with Oubre going 1-of-3 from the charity stripe and committing five turnovers. Depending on what happens with Tyrese Maxey, who injured his right hand during the fourth quarter, Oubre could move up in the offensive pecking order for Philadelphia's five-game Week 20.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes records 26/6/3/2 line vs. Atlanta
Sat, Mar 7, 2026, 2:39 PM
Quentin Grimes accounted for 26 points (9-of-15 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Saturday's loss to the Hawks.
Analysis: With VJ Edgecome (back) once again sidelined, Grimes remained in the starting lineup despite Kelly Oubre Jr.'s return to action. And he produced a solid stat line, shooting 66.7 percent from the field. The 26 points were two points shy of a season-high for Grimes, who entered Saturday having totaled 32 points in his prior four appearances. Depending on the severity of Tyrese Maxey's hand injury, Grimes could be a player of even greater importance during Philadelphia's five-game Week 20.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey (hand) exits late in fourth quarter
Sat, Mar 7, 2026, 2:39 PM
Gina Mizell
Tyrese Maxey (hand) finished Saturday's loss to the Hawks with 31 points (12-of-22 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, five assists, three steals and three three-pointers.
Analysis: While Maxey finished Saturday's defeat with an excellent stat line, that was the furthest thing from anyone's mind when he left with 16.2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The All-Star guard injured his right hand when he collided with teammate Adem Bona. Maxey was scheduled to undergo X-rays on the hand, but no announcement has been made regarding the injury's severity. If he has to miss time, Cam Payne and even Kyle Lowry could figure more prominently within the 76ers' rotation.
