Tre Donaldson agrees two-way deal with Miami
Wed, Jun 24, 2026, 4:37 PM
Shams Charania
Tre Donaldson has agreed to a two-way deal with the Heat.
Analysis: Donaldson spent two seasons at Auburn and one at Michigan before transferring to Miami (FL) for the 2025-26 campaign. Earning second-team All-ACC honors, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 34.0 minutes. Donaldson shot 45.4 percent from the field, 35.9 percent from three and 76.6 percent from the foul line, and there's room for growth in that aspect of his game. He'll remain in South Beach, where he'll help fill out the gutted Heat roster following the trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, making this an intriguing landing spot for him.

OKC selects Ryan Conwell at No. 37, traded to MIA
Wed, Jun 24, 2026, 2:53 PM
Shams Charania
Thunder selected Ryan Conwell with the No. 37 pick in the NBA Draft.
Analysis: In what has become a more common occurrence in this era of college basketball, Conwell played for four different schools in his four seasons. He saved his best for last, averaging 18.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.3 three-pointers in 30.9 minutes per game at Louisville in 2025-26. While a more than capable scorer, the 6-foot-4 guard will need to improve his efficiency to stick at the NBA level. Conwell shot 40.8 percent from the field, 34.5 percent from three and 83.2 percent from the foul line as a senior. Oklahoma City made the pick, but Conwell will be headed to Miami via trade. Given the talent that the Heat gave up to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo, Conwell's perimeter shooting ability could prove valuable. He isn't a lock to provide reliable fantasy value as a rookie, but there should be opportunities to contribute.
Pelle Larsson
Heat exercise player option on Pelle Larsson
Wed, Jun 24, 2026, 11:59 AM
Miami Heat
Heat exercised the player option on Pelle Larsson.
Analysis: Larsson improved during his second NBA season, averaging 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 0.9 three-pointers in 26.4 minutes per game. There were moments when he possessed streaming value, but the role was not robust enough to make him a must-roster in most fantasy leagues. Even if he continues to come off the bench, Larsson may take on a larger role in 2026-27 in the aftermath of the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade. Among the players Miami parted with in the deal was Jaime Jaquez Jr., runner-up for Sixth Man of the Year.
Norman Powell
Shams: Heat not expected to keep Norman Powell
Tue, Jun 23, 2026, 7:21 AM
ESPN's Shams Charania believes the Heat aren't expected to keep Norman Powell this offseason.
Analysis: Appearing on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show, Charania said the Heat aren't expecting Powell to be back with the team next season. This comes on the heels of ESPN's Brian Windhorst echoing the same sentiments on another show Tuesday morning. While Powell's shooting is exactly what the Heat need, he's going to have multiple suitors in free agency, which will make him very difficult for Miami to keep from a financial perspective, according to Charania. Marc Stein and Jake Fischer previously reported the Pistons have added Powell to their list of targets.

Report: Pistons add Norman Powell to target list
Tue, Jun 23, 2026, 5:13 AM
NBA Insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer report the Pistons have added Norman Powell to their list of offseason targets.
Analysis: The Pistons have been linked to nearly every available shooter this offseason. Prior to the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, it was believed that Powell would re-sign with the Heat. ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported Tuesday morning that Powell isn't going to re-sign with Miami barring a “crazy discount.” With Powell seemingly available now, it's no surprise that Detroit will at least kick the tires on the 33-year-old All-Star. The Pistons will continue to look to add shooting and playmaking around its core this offseason and Powell could factor into those plans. Stein and Fischer report Detroit is also interested in Tyler Herro, Coby White and Isaiah Joe.
Norman Powell
Windhorst: Norman Powell gone barring discount
Tue, Jun 23, 2026, 3:43 AM
ESPN's Brian Windhorst believes the Heat will lose Norman Powell in free agency.
Analysis: Appearing on ESPN's Get Up on Tuesday morning, Windhorst expressed concern that the Heat will be able to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo with enough shooting this upcoming season. His primary reason for concern is that he believes the Heat will lose Powell in free agency barring the 33-year-old All-Star taking a “crazy discount.” With Miami up against the cap and having already put so many assets in the Giannis trade, the Heat will have to make some moves on the cheap to fill out the roster. It appears Powell could be out of their price range.
Bobby Portis
Bobby Portis reportedly traded to Miami
Mon, Jun 22, 2026, 6:02 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports the Heat have acquired Bobby Portis and Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Bucks in exchange for Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jaku?ionis and multiple draft picks.
Analysis: A reliable contributor since his arrival in Milwaukee ahead of the 2020-21 season, Portis is headed to Miami as part of the deal headlined by Antetokounmpo. Appearing in 67 games last season, he averaged 13.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.0 three-pointers, shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 70.6 percent from the foul line. Depending on how the Heat build out the rest of their roster, Portis has a shot at providing consistent fantasy value, even if he's used in a reserve role, due to Miami's need for offensive spacing.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Report: MIL trading Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami
Mon, Jun 22, 2026, 5:57 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the Bucks are trading Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat.
Analysis: Antetokounmpo is heading south with Bobby Portis, with Milwaukee receiving Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jaku?ionis, three future first-round picks, one first-round pick swap and one second-round pick. The Heat were the most persistent team in their pursuit of Antetokounmpo, and a deal was finalized the night before the 2026 NBA Draft. While he is one of the most dominant players in the league, Giannis's health has been an issue recently. Multiple calf injuries limited him to 36 games last season, and the Greek Freak has exceeded 70 regular-season games once since 2018-19. When available, he can offer first-round value, especially to fantasy managers punting free-throw percentage, but the Heat will have some spacing issues to address between Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.
Terry Rozier
Prosecutors file new charges against Terry Rozier
Thu, May 28, 2026, 1:35 PM
Mike Vorkunov
Federal prosecutors filed new charges against Terry Rozier.
Analysis: Federal prosecutors say Rozier, who played 10 seasons in the NBA, took a roughly $100,000 “bribe” to exit early from a March 2023 Hornets game so a group of sports gamblers could win bets on his props. A lawyer for Rozier denied that he was paid to change his performance. In the game in question, Rozier played 10 minutes, had five points and two assists. He last played for the Heat during the 2024-25 season and was placed on immediate leave following federal indictments last year.
Tyler Herro
Tyler Herro scores 23 points in loss to Charlotte
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 5:35 PM
Tyler Herro tallied 23 points (7-of-18 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, six assists and three three-pointers in the loss to the Hornets on Tuesday.
Analysis: Herro struggled with his shot on Tuesday during his 34 minutes on the floor. Specifically, his inability to finish efficiently inside the three-point line led to the low field-goal percentage. Yet, he sank three triples and produced at the free-throw line to end as one of Miami's three players with at least 20 points on the night. Herro also turned out a solid outing as a facilitator in the team's season-ending loss. He battled injuries throughout the season and only logged 33 regular-season games, leaving him with little fantasy basketball value in his seventh NBA season.
Davion Mitchell
Davion Mitchell's 28 not enough in loss to Hornets
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 5:28 PM
Davion Mitchell amassed 28 points (12-of-24 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and four three-pointers in Tuesday's loss to the Hornets.
Analysis: Mitchell logged a game-high 48 minutes on Tuesday and did just about everything the Heat could have hoped for. He shot the ball well en route to leading the team in scoring, was one of Miami's top facilitators, and was the Heat's only player with at least one block and steal apiece. Unfortunately for Mitchell, his blocked game-winning layup attempt will be the lasting memory of what was a very strong performance. Mitchell played 70 games this season and made a big step as a passer. Yet he wasn't a reliable option when it came to fantasy basketball.
Andrew Wiggins
Andrew Wiggins posts 27/7/3 line in loss to CHA
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 5:21 PM
Andrew Wiggins totaled 27 points (10-of-18 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists and four three-pointers in the loss to the Hornets on Friday.
Analysis: Wiggins was one of several Heat players to make positive contributions on the offensive end of the floor. His 27 points trailed only Davion Mitchell's 28, as the veteran forward had production across all three scoring levels. Wiggins was also one of the Heat's best rebounders on the night during his 42 minutes of game action. He finished the season as a fairly comparable fantasy basketball performer as he was a season ago, albeit on fewer points per game. If Wiggins remains on the Heat going forward, he could be in for a similar season.
Bam Adebayo
Bam Adebayo (back) won't return Tuesday vs. CHA
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 3:25 PM
Tomer Azarly
Bam Adebayo (back) is out for the rest of Tuesday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Adebayo fell hard on his back during the second quarter of Tuesday's Play-In Tournament game while trying to save a loose ball. He was subbed out at the ensuing deadball, taken to the locker room, and never returned. He was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game during the third quarter, leaving Miami without one of its best players. Jaime Jaquez Jr. started in Adebayo's place to begin the second half and could see more minutes if the team advances, depending on Adebayo's status.
Pelle Larsson
Pelle Larsson (leg) upgraded to available vs. CHA
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 6:19 AM
NBA Injury Report
Pelle Larsson (leg) is available for Tuesday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Larsson is good to go after being listed as questionable on the injury report initially released by the Heat on Monday evening. He'll figure prominently in the Heat wing rotation, whether he starts or comes off the bench. In four games against the Hornets during the regular season, Larsson averaged 15.3 points on 55.6 percent shooting from the field.
Pelle Larsson
Pelle Larsson (leg) questionable Tuesday
Mon, Apr 13, 2026, 11:35 AM
Pelle Larsson (leg) is questionable for Tuesday's Play-In game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Larsson is listed as questionable with a right lower leg contusion. Nikola Jovic (ankle) and Dru Smith (foot) are out, but otherwise the Heat have a healthy roster heading into the Play-In Tournament.
Jaime Jaquez Jr.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. scores 26 points off bench
Sun, Apr 12, 2026, 2:49 PM
Jaime Jaquez Jr. provided a boost off the bench with 26 points (12-of-17 FGs), one rebound, five assists and one three-pointer against the Hawks on Sunday.
Analysis: Jaquez stayed hot after scoring 23 points in Friday's win over the Wizards. This was his second straight 20-point game while shooting at least 70 percent from the floor. Jaquez has made a strong case for Sixth Man of the Year, and while he may not win the award, he will continue to be a pivotal piece for Miami as they enter the play-in tournament against the Hornets next week.
Norman Powell
Norman Powell scores 25 points off bench
Sun, Apr 12, 2026, 2:42 PM
Norman Powell lit up the Hawks with 25 points (8-of-18 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, one steal and three three-pointers on Sunday.
Analysis: Powell was able to end the regular season on a high note after a rough few months for him. He was able to start the season hot, but injuries hit his fantasy value hard. This was his highest-scoring outing since February, and he was one of three Heat players to score at least 25 points in this game. It was encouraging for him to have this type of performance, and he'll look to carry this production into their play-in tournament matchup with the Hornets next week.
Bam Adebayo
Bam Adebayo produces 25/10/3/3/2 line vs. Atlanta
Sun, Apr 12, 2026, 2:37 PM
Bam Adebayo posted a full line on Sunday with 25 points (11-of-18 FGs), 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals, two blocks and one three-pointer in a 143-117 win over the Hawks.
Analysis: Adebayo wraps up the regular season with his third straight 20-point double-double while also contributing multiple defensive stats in each game. He typically isn't quite as impactful in fantasy basketball as he is on the court for the Heat, but he has been a fantasy stud over the final couple months. Miami will be the 10th seed in the East, meaning they will travel to Charlotte for the play-in tournament next week. If Adebayo is playing this well, they will certainly have a chance to survive the tournament and make it to the playoffs.
Norman Powell
Norman Powell (groin) upgraded to available
Sun, Apr 12, 2026, 9:34 AM
NBA Injury Report
Norman Powell (groin) is available for Sunday's game against the Hawks.
Analysis: Powell is back after sitting out Friday's win over the Wizards. If he returns to the starting lineup, the Heat will likely open up a spot by moving Kel'el Ware to the bench.
Pelle Larsson
Pelle Larsson (leg) downgraded to out vs. Atlanta
Sun, Apr 12, 2026, 9:21 AM
NBA Injury Report
Pelle Larsson (leg) is out for Sunday's game against the Hawks.
Analysis: Added to the injury report earlier Sunday, Larsson is now out for the Heat's regular-season finale. Norman Powell is still questionable with a sore right groin. If he can play, he'll absorb most of the minutes that would have gone to Larsson. If not, then Keshad Johnson should take on a more prominent role within the rotation.
