Santi Aldama
Aldama drops 22 points in win over Trail Blazers
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 2:43 PM
Santi Aldama erupted for a game-high 22 points (7-of-11 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist and two steals over 28 minutes, leading the Grizzlies to a 119-96 blowout win over the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Aldama spearheaded an impressive effort from the Memphis reserves in this one as the Grizzlies got a staggering 69 bench point, including double-digit performances from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jock Landale and Cam Spencer, to power the club to their seventh win over their last nine games. Aldama's unexpected offensive surge helped make up for the absence of scoring machine Ja Morant, who sat this one out with a lingering calf injury. The Grizzlies have just one game next week when they face the Jazz on Friday night.
Zach Edey
Edey records double-double in win over Trail Blazers
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 2:40 PM
Zach Edey amassed 12 points (5-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 10 rebounds and three assists across 21 minutes in Sunday's win over the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Edey snapped out of his recent cold spell by recording his fifth double-double of the season, pulling down 10 boards in just 21 minutes before fouling out with just over six minutes left in a lopsided affair against the struggling Trail Blazers. The 23-year-old center is averaging 13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.9 blocks through 11 games this season. He's performing at a near-elite level for fantasy purposes when he's on the floor.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (calf) downgraded to out Sunday vs. POR
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 11:14 AM
Memphis Grizzlies
Ja Morant (calf) is out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Initially doubtful for Sunday's game, Morant is officially inactive. Vince Williams Jr. will continue to replace him in the starting lineup, with Cam Spencer playing additional minutes off the bench. While Williams is a solid option for managers needing assists, his low percentages have opened the door for Spencer to emerge as a solid deep-league option.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (calf) doubtful Sunday vs. Portland
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 12:08 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Ja Morant (calf) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: While the doubtful tag suggests that Morant won't play on Sunday, the upgrade is a step in the right direction. Vince Williams Jr. will continue to start as long as Ja is unavailable, with Cam Spencer picking up additional minutes off the bench.
Zach Edey
Zach Edey has 10 points, eight boards vs. Clippers
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 5:21 PM
Zach Edey added 10 points (4-of-8 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks on Friday in the win over the Clippers.
Analysis: Edey's night was unspectacular from a fantasy basketball perspective. He didn't dominate in any singular category, but was solid enough across the board to finish with mediocre production. He played 29 minutes in the game, battled on both ends, and ultimately finished as the Grizzlies' leader in blocks in the win. They'll play Sunday against the Trail Blazers, where fantasy managers will hope for more production out of Edey.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (calf) ruled out Friday vs. LA Clippers
Thu, Dec 4, 2025, 12:57 PM
NBA Injury Report
Ja Morant (calf) is out for Friday's game against the Clippers.
Analysis: While Morant participated in portions of Thursday's practice, he still has not reached the point where he can play in games. Vince Williams Jr. will continue to fill the void as the starting point guard, with Cam Spencer having added value in deep leagues despite coming off the bench.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (calf) practiced on Thursday
Thu, Dec 4, 2025, 9:26 AM
Michael Wallace
Ja Morant (calf) “participated in parts of Thursday's practice” and is now considered day-to-day.
Analysis: Morant has been out for two weeks since suffering his calf strain, but appears to be inching closer to returning. There's a chance that he could return to play against the Clippers on Friday or the Blazers on Sunday. His return would push Vince Williams Jr. back to the bench and could impact some of Zach Edey's recent uptick in usage.
Zach Edey
Zach Edey puts up 19/15 double-double vs. Spurs
Tue, Dec 2, 2025, 5:36 PM
Zach Edey recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 19 points (8-of-12 FGs), 15 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block against the Spurs.
Analysis: Edey has been on quite the tear in recent weeks. Over the last five games that Edey has completed, he is averaging 17.8 points, 16.2 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. It took Edey a few games to get adjusted after missing the start of the year, but he's been one of the most dominant players in fantasy basketball recently. Some of the matchups have been more favorable, but he has been able to take advantage. At this point, he's looking like one of the steals of the year.
Jock Landale
Jock Landale (ankle) available Tuesday vs. SAS
Tue, Dec 2, 2025, 1:06 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Jock Landale (ankle) is available for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Landale is good to go after initially being questionable with a sore left ankle. He will occupy his usual role as Zach Edey's backup, which is not a good spot to derive fantasy value from.
Jock Landale
Jock Landale (ankle) questionable Tuesday vs. SAS
Mon, Dec 1, 2025, 12:06 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Jock Landale (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Landale is dealing with a sore left ankle. While his potential absence would not significantly impact fantasy basketball, it would leave the Grizzlies down an option in the post. His minutes would likely be absorbed by the players currently in the rotation, most notably Santi Aldama. Aldama should already be rostered in most 14-team leagues and some 12-team formats as well.
Zach Edey
Zach Edey dominates Kings, goes for 32 and 17
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 5:36 PM
Zach Edey finished Sunday's win over the Kings with 32 points (16-of-20 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), 17 rebounds and five blocked shots.
Analysis: Not having Domantas Sabonis available put the Kings in a tough spot when defending Edey. The second-year center was able to go wherever he wanted offensively, shooting 80 percent from the field with most of his makes coming in the restricted area. Add in the rebounds and blocked shots, and this was a great end to Week 6 for managers who have Edey rostered. Since making his season debut, the 7-foot-4 center has provided third-round value in nine-cat formats. The Grizzlies play three games in Week 7, starting with the Spurs on Tuesday.
Zach Edey
Zach Edey corrals 21 rebounds vs. LA Clippers
Fri, Nov 28, 2025, 6:44 PM
Zach Edey amassed five points (2-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 21 rebounds, three assists and three blocks in Friday's win over the Clippers.
Analysis: While he didn't do much scoring on Friday, Edey was dominant on the glass. The 21 rebounds were a season-high for the second-year center, who has been a top-50 player in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. He's still rostered in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is too low, given Edey's production and importance to the Grizzlies. Now would be a good time to hop onto the bandwagon, especially with the Grizzlies facing Sacramento on Sunday.
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. finishes victory with 16 points
Fri, Nov 28, 2025, 6:44 PM
Vince Williams Jr. accounted for 16 points (7-of-17 FGs), one rebound, five assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Friday's win over the Clippers.
Analysis: Williams' production has not made him a must-roster player with Ja Morant out, but that has more to do with the percentages and turnovers than anything else. Over the past two weeks, he has shot 34.8 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the foul line while averaging 3.0 turnovers per game. As a result, Williams has not been a top-100 player in nine-cat formats. However, that is not the case in eight-cat. Rostered in 24 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he's worth picking up ahead of Sunday's game against the Kings.
Jaren Jackson
Jaren Jackson Jr. scores 24 points vs. Clippers
Fri, Nov 28, 2025, 6:43 PM
Jaren Jackson Jr. finished Friday's win over the Clippers with 24 points (9-of-13 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), two assists and three three-pointers.
Analysis: While Jackson certainly deserves credit for what he did in the points and three-point categories, what he didn't do will undoubtedly strike a nerve with some fantasy managers. He did not record any rebounds or defensive stats in Friday's victory. While Zach Edey dominated the boards for the Grizzlies, grabbing 21 rebounds, Jackson's lack of production in that category was disappointing. Over the past two weeks, he has averaged just 4.4 rebounds per game, which is why Jackson has not been a top-100 player during this stretch.
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. dishes out career-high 17 dimes
Wed, Nov 26, 2025, 5:03 PM
Vince Williams Jr. finished Wednesday's win over the Pelicans with five points (2-of-6 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, 17 assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
Analysis: Less than a week removed from dishing out 15 assists against the Kings, Williams recorded a new career-high in that category on Wednesday. He didn't do much scoring and was responsible for six turnovers, but the assists, rebounds and “stocks” meant that Williams managers didn't lose out on value. Rostered in 23 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has provided top-100 fantasy value over the past week. The Grizzlies play two more games during Week 6, and Vince is worth a look with Ja Morant sidelined.
Zach Edey
Zach Edey posts 21 points, 15 rebounds vs. NOR
Wed, Nov 26, 2025, 5:01 PM
Zach Edey accounted for 21 points (10-of-15 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), 15 rebounds, one steal and two blocked shots in Wednesday's win over the Pelicans.
Analysis: Edey matched his season-high in rebounds and notched his first 20-point game on Wednesday. The Pelicans struggled to find an answer for him offensively, as Edey was able to hover around the paint for most of the night. He's only played in six games thus far, but the fantasy returns are promising. We'll see what happens once Ja Morant returns from injury, but Edey should be a valuable center throughout the season.
Jaren Jackson
Jaren Jackson Jr. scores game-high 27 points
Wed, Nov 26, 2025, 5:01 PM
Jaren Jackson Jr. accumulated 27 points (9-of-23 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and five three-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Pelicans.
Analysis: Not only were Jackson's 27 points a game-high, but they were also the most he's scored in a game this season. While the rebounding production remains disappointing, JJJ's overall stat line in Wednesday's overtime victory was solid. The good news for Jackson managers is that he's closing in on top-100 value. However, no one expected him to be that low in the rankings when the season began. The Grizzlies continue their road trip with games against the Clippers and Kings to end Week 6.
Zach Edey
Zach Edey (head) available Wednesday vs. Pelicans
Wed, Nov 26, 2025, 1:16 PM
Damichael Cole
Zach Edey (head) will be available to play on Wednesday against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Edey is back in the lineup after a head injury on Monday against the Nuggets forced him to exit after only six minutes. He'll likely return to the starting lineup for the sixth time in as many games. The sophomore center got a late start to the season due to an ankle injury delaying his debut until mid-November. He's currently averaging 10.2 points and 7.6 rebounds.
Zach Edey
Zach Edey (head) present at Tuesday practice
Tue, Nov 25, 2025, 10:29 AM
Michael Wallace
Zach Edey (head) attended practice on Tuesday after exiting Monday's loss to the Nuggets during the first quarter.
Analysis: Edey suffered a head injury during the first quarter, departing after six minutes of action. His presence at practice on Tuesday is a positive development, but it does not guarantee the 7-foot-4 center's availability for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. If Edey can't play, Jock Landale will be the next man up at center.
Jaren Jackson
Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) scores 16 in return
Mon, Nov 24, 2025, 4:37 PM
Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) finished Monday's loss to the Nuggets with 16 points (7-of-16 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds, four assists and one three-pointer.
Analysis: Back in action after a two-game absence, Jackson struggled with his perimeter shot on Monday. The Grizzlies' forward/center was 1-of-8 from beyond the arc, but that wasn't the most disappointing part of his night. Jackson did not record any defensive stats, and those categories are crucial for a mediocre rebounder like him. JJJ exceeded his season average in rebounds on Monday, but the 5.3 per game would be the lowest mark for him since the 2019-20 season (4.6).
