Jaren Jackson
Jaren Jackson Jr. leads Grizzlies with 23 points
Fri, Jan 9, 2026, 4:45 PM
Jaren Jackson Jr. amassed 23 points (9-of-14 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Friday's loss to the Thunder.
Analysis: Playing against a severely depleted Thunder roster, Jackson and the Grizzlies controlled Friday's game for most of the first three quarters. After making all three of his shot attempts in the third quarter, JJJ was 0-of-3 in the fourth as Memphis lost a game that it led by as much as 21. The final stat line was solid, but fantasy managers may have hoped for more from Jackson on a night when the Grizzlies were once again without Ja Morant.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (jaw) doubtful to return
Fri, Jan 9, 2026, 3:35 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (jaw) is doubtful to return to Friday's game against the Thunder.
Analysis: Caldwell-Pope injured his jaw during the second quarter of Friday's game, exiting with just over four minutes remaining in the period. Due to injuries, the Grizzlies will go with a nine-man rotation for the rest of the game.
John Konchar
John Konchar (thumb) downgraded to out Friday
Fri, Jan 9, 2026, 1:09 PM
NBA Injury Report
John Konchar (thumb) is out for Friday's game against the Thunder.
Analysis: Konchar's continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball. However, his initial listing as doubtful may be a sign that he isn't far from a return to action.
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) available Friday
Fri, Jan 9, 2026, 12:27 PM
Jonah Dylan
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Thunder.
Analysis: Williams is good to go after initially being questionable for Friday's game. His return will likely mean fewer minutes for Javon Small, who played 21 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss to the Suns.
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) questionable Friday
Thu, Jan 8, 2026, 12:56 PM
NBA Injury Report
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Thunder.
Analysis: Williams did not play in Wednesday's loss to the Suns, leaving Cam Spencer and Javon Small to handle the point guard duties. If Williams remains out on Friday, Small will stay in the rotation.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (calf) out Friday vs. Oklahoma City
Thu, Jan 8, 2026, 12:51 PM
NBA Injury Report
Ja Morant (calf) is out for Friday's game against the Thunder.
Analysis: Morant has missed the Grizzlies' last three games with a right calf contusion, and Friday's game will be the fourth. Cam Spencer has played well this season, and he should be streamed until Morant returns and can play starters' minutes.
John Konchar
John Konchar (thumb) doubtful Friday vs. OKC
Thu, Jan 8, 2026, 12:17 PM
NBA Injury Report
John Konchar (thumb) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Thunder.
Analysis: Konchar has been out since December 7 and appears likely to miss another game on Friday. Even with Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke unavailable, Konchar's availability does not affect fantasy basketball.
Santi Aldama

Wed, Jan 7, 2026, 1:19 PM
Memphis Grizzlies PR
Santi Aldama (ankle) is available to play against the Suns on Wednesday.
Analysis: Aldama will be good to go after initially being listed as questionable. He'll continue to play a significant reserve role for Memphis after playing 24 minutes on the first night of this back-to-back.
Jaren Jackson
Jaren Jackson Jr. (illness) available vs. Phoenix
Wed, Jan 7, 2026, 1:16 PM
Memphis Grizzlies PR
Jaren Jackson Jr. (illness) is available to play against the Suns on Wednesday.
Analysis: Jackson was downgraded from probable to questionable earlier in the day, which is often an indicator that a player will end up missing a game. However, he'll be good to go and should see his typical role after playing 35 minutes on Tuesday.
Ja Morant
Morant (calf) ruled out vs. Phoenix on Wednesday
Wed, Jan 7, 2026, 1:13 PM
Memphis Grizzlies PR
Ja Morant (calf) has been ruled out against the Suns on Wednesday.
Analysis: This will be a third straight absence for Morant. Cam Spencer has been starting in his place and will continue to do so on Wednesday. Javon Small will serve as the back since Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is out.
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) out Wednesday vs. PHX
Wed, Jan 7, 2026, 12:30 PM
Damichael Cole
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is out for Wednesday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Williams returned after an eight-game absence on Tuesday, so it's unsurprising that he would be ruled out for Wednesday's game. Cam Spencer's place within the rotation depends on Ja Morant, who is a game-time decision. If Ja plays, Spencer will come off the bench. If not, Spencer will start while Javon Small provides depth off the bench.
Jaren Jackson
Jaren Jackson Jr. (illness) now questionable
Wed, Jan 7, 2026, 11:06 AM
Memphis Grizzlies
Jaren Jackson Jr. (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Initially probable for Memphis' second game in as many nights, Jackson has been downgraded to questionable. With Santi Aldama also questionable because of a sore right ankle, the Grizzlies could be down two rotation frontcourt players. In that case, they would have to rely even more on Jock Landale and Christian Koloko, with the former being the safer streaming option.
Santi Aldama
Santi Aldama (ankle) questionable Wednesday
Wed, Jan 7, 2026, 10:03 AM
NBA Injury Report
Santi Aldama (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Suns.
Analysis: Aldama has been dealing with an ankle injury, and it could cost him the second leg of the Grizzlies' back-to-back set. If Aldama is ultimately ruled out, more playing time could be available for Jock Landale and GG Jackson.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (calf) questionable Wednesday
Wed, Jan 7, 2026, 9:55 AM
NBA Injury Report
Ja Morant (calf) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Suns.
Analysis: Morant sat out Tuesday against San Antonio, but he's got a chance to return for the second leg of Memphis' back-to-back set. Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is also questionable, which means Cam Spencer could handle a robust role if both are sidelined.
Jaren Jackson
JJJ records 21/9/2/2/3 line in win over Spurs
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 5:04 PM
Jaren Jackson Jr. posted 21 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks over 35 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Spurs.
Analysis: Jackson came within one board of his third double-double effort of the season and reached the 20-point plateau for the eighth time in his last 11 games since December 15. The 26-year-old forward has underwhelmed from a fantasy standpoint this season, but his scoring numbers have gone up in recent weeks, which is an encouraging sign. He'll be tasked with carrying Memphis on both ends of the floor as they deal with a plethora of injuries to key starters and reserves.
Vince Williams
Williams connects on four triples in win over Spurs
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 5:01 PM
Vince Williams Jr. collected 15 points (5-of-7 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds and five assists over 22 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's win over the Spurs.
Analysis: Williams, who has been dealing with a knee injury recently, was sizzling-hot from long range in this one, knocking down 5-of-7 from distance. The 25-year-old guard figures to continue splitting time with Cam Spencer while Ja Morant is out dealing with an ongoing calf issue.
GG Jackson
MEM starts Spencer, Wells, GG, Jaren, Landale
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 1:41 PM
NBA Lineups
Cam Spencer, Jaylen Wells, GG Jackson, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jock Landale will start Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: The Grizzlies are down two starters for Tuesday's game, as Ja Morant (calf) and Cedric Coward (ankle) are out. Spencer will make a second consecutive start at point guard, with Vince Williams Jr. coming off the bench in his first game back from a knee injury. The other change is GG Jackson, who steps in for Coward. Capable of getting hot offensively, Jackson is worth watching in deeper leagues.
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) available Tuesday
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 1:21 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is available for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Williams is back after missing Memphis' last eight games. With Ja Morant (calf) out, there's a chance that he starts against San Antonio. If Williams is used in a reserve role, Cam Spencer will get a second consecutive start.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (calf) downgraded to out Tuesday
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 1:16 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Ja Morant (calf) is out for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Morant was downgraded from questionable to doubtful earlier Tuesday, so the second downgrade is unsurprising. Cam Spencer started Sunday's loss to the Lakers but struggled. With Vince Williams Jr. (knee) available, Spencer could be headed back to the bench, but he would remain in the rotation.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant doubtful, Vince Williams Jr. probable
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 9:44 AM
NBA Injury Report
Ja Morant (calf) is doubtful for Tuesday's matchup with the Spurs, and Vince Williams Jr. (knee) is probable.
Analysis: Morant was listed as questionable on Monday, but his status has been downgraded, and he's not expected to take the court against San Antonio. Williams Jr. will be back after an eight-game absence, and he should split time at PG with Cam Spencer.
