Sat, Oct 25, 2025, 1:33 PM
NBA Injury Report
Santi Aldama (knee) is available to play against the Pacers on Saturday.
Analysis: Aldama was listed as questionable for the second leg of this back-to-back, but he will be good to suit up. He had 13 points and eight rebounds in the blowout loss to Miami and will look to help Memphis get back on track.

Santi Aldama (knee) questionable Saturday vs. IND

Memphis Grizzlies
Santi Aldama (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Aldama is the lone Grizzlies player on the injury report who saw action in Friday's loss to the Heat, having tallied 13 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one three-pointer in 20 minutes. If he cannot play, starting center Jock Landale's playing time may increase after he logged 18 minutes against Miami. P.J. Hall could also figure more prominently in the rotation, but he would be worth the risk in any fantasy league.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (ankle) absent from injury report
Sat, Oct 25, 2025, 8:22 AM
Memphis Grizzlies
Ja Morant (ankle) is not on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Morant only played 22 minutes in Friday's loss to the Heat, which may have influenced the decision to make him available for Saturday night. Javon Small will remain in the backup point guard role, and Cam Spencer will get to spend some time on the ball when Morant is resting. Neither is a must-stream player in this spot.
Ja Morant
Morant (ankle) questionable Saturday vs. Indiana
Sat, Oct 25, 2025, 3:23 AM
Damichael Cole
Ja Morant (ankle) said, “We'll see,” following Friday's loss to the Heat, when asked if he would play in Saturday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Morant, who missed the entire preseason with a sprained left ankle, played 22 minutes in the 146-114 defeat. However, while the workload may lead some to assume he should be able to play on Saturday, the Grizzlies star was initially questionable for Friday. If Morant does not play because it is the second game of a back-to-back, Memphis will have to rely heavily on Javon Small and Cam Spencer. Small played 22 minutes on Friday, finishing with nine points and eight assists, and he would be worth streaming if Morant sits.
Jaren Jackson
JJJ scores team-high 19 points in blowout loss
Fri, Oct 24, 2025, 4:32 PM
Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 19 points (7-of-14 FGs), three rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one three-pointer in a 146-114 loss to the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Jackson was able to get some offense going in the second half to end this game as the leading scorer for Memphis, but it was an ugly loss nonetheless. Jackson only played 21 minutes, and he was effective in the box score for only playing a limited workload. Jackson will look to help Memphis bounce back against Indiana on Saturday.
Ja Morant
Morant held to 12 points in blowout loss
Fri, Oct 24, 2025, 4:30 PM
Ja Morant finished with 12 points (4-of-16 FGs), two rebounds and six assists against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Morant was one of the only Grizzlies to get any sort of offense going in the first half, but he was held scoreless after the break. Morant was questionable with an ankle injury entering this game, and while he played through it, it's unclear if he'll be available to play against the Pacers on Saturday. Javon Small, who had eight assists in 22 minutes off the bench in this game, would likely start if Morant isn't available to suit up.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Caldwell-Pope (ankle) available vs. Miami

Anthony Chiang
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (ankle) is available to play against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: KCP was initially listed as questionable, but he'll be available to start in his usual spot. That means Cedric Coward will remain in a reserve role after having a productive debut. KCP had 15 points in 31 minutes as a starter on Wednesday.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (ankle) available Friday vs. Miami
Fri, Oct 24, 2025, 1:13 PM
Grizzlies PR
Ja Morant (ankle) will play on Friday against the Heat.
Analysis: Morant was upgraded from questionable and will make his second start in as many games on Friday evening. The superstar guard had dealt with a lingering ankle injury coming out of the preseason, but suited up for the regular-season opener anyway and proceeded to tally 35 points in a win against the Pelicans. He'll have a chance to put together consecutive strong performances to begin the season
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. (heel) out again vs. Miami
Thu, Oct 23, 2025, 12:16 PM
Grizzlies PR
Vince Williams Jr. (heel) has been ruled out against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Williams will miss a second straight game to start the season. It's unclear how large of a role Williams will have when he's healthy, but for now, Cedric Coward will continue to play a significant reserve role.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Caldwell-Pope (ankle) questionable vs. Miami
Thu, Oct 23, 2025, 12:13 PM
Grizzlies PR
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (ankle) is questionable to play against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: KCP got the start in the season opener, but there is a chance he is sidelined for his second game in Memphis. If that happens, rookie Cedric Coward would have a chance to slide into the starting lineup. Coward, who posted a 14/3/1/2/1 line in his debut, would be an enticing streaming option if KCP is out.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (ankle) questionable vs. Miami
Thu, Oct 23, 2025, 12:11 PM
Grizzlies PR
Ja Morant (ankle) is questionable to play against the Heat on Friday.
Analysis: Morant is back on the injury report after injuring his ankle during the preseason. If something changes and he isn't able to suit up for this game, Javon Small and Cam Spencer will likely split the point guard duties, with Small getting the starting nod.
Ja Morant
Jaren Jackson Jr. drops 18 points, five blocks
Wed, Oct 22, 2025, 7:00 PM
Jaren Jackson Jr. finished Wednesday's win over the Pelicans with 18 points (7-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist and six blocked shots.
Analysis: Jackson did have to deal with some foul trouble, but that did not prevent him from putting up a big number in the blocks category. The six rejections were two shy of his career-high, and JJJ was productive as a rebounder and scorer. The Grizzlies started Jock Landale (10 points, four rebounds, two blocks and one three-pointer) at the five, and he logged 25 minutes, while Santi Aldama (5/6/2/1/2) played 24 off the bench. Of the two, Aldama is the superior fantasy option while the Grizzlies await Edey's return. Regardless of what Aldama and Landale do, Jackson will lead the way.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (ankle) scores 35 in season opener
Wed, Oct 22, 2025, 6:26 PM
Ja Morant (ankle) tallied 35 points (13-of-20 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Pelicans.
Analysis: Based on his performance Wednesday night, Morant didn't seem negatively impacted by not playing during the preseason. The Grizzlies guard recorded excellent percentages and only committed two turnovers. Morant played 29 minutes, with the Grizzlies exercising some caution with his workload, but that didn't prevent him from producing a masterclass. Javon Small played the other 19 minutes at point guard, going scoreless with three assists and one blocked shot. As Morant shakes off the rust, Small's minutes will likely decrease.
Jock Landale
MEM starts Morant, KCP, Wells, Jackson, Landale
Wed, Oct 22, 2025, 1:38 PM
NBA Lineups
Ja Morant, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jock Landale will start Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: After missing the entire preseason with a sprained ankle, Morant is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's opener. Also in the lineup is Landale, who fills the void left by the injured Zach Edey (ankle). Landale doesn't offer much fantasy upside, and managers who drafted Santi Aldama should stick with him despite his coming off the bench.
Vince Williams
Vince Williams Jr. (heel) out Wednesday vs. NOP
Tue, Oct 21, 2025, 12:30 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Vince Williams Jr. (heel) is out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Unfortunately, Williams' struggles to stay healthy persist, as he won't play in Wednesday's season opener. The Grizzlies wing only appeared in 27 games last season, making five starts. Williams' absence likely means more minutes for rookie Cedric Coward, who offers a high long-term fantasy upside. Jaylen Wells, who's in the starting lineup, should see his fantasy ceiling rise, especially with Ja Morant making his first appearance after missing the preseason with a sprained ankle.
Ja Morant
Ja Morant (ankle) absent from injury report
Tue, Oct 21, 2025, 12:26 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Ja Morant (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Morant, who sprained his left ankle in early October, did not play during the preseason. With that in mind, his playing time may be limited on Wednesday. However, the Grizzlies will be without Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) and Ty Jerome (calf), possibly resulting in rotation minutes off the bench for Javon Small. There isn't a need to stream the rookie, since he'll be in a backup role if he plays.
Ja Morant
Stein: Morant (ankle) expected to play Wednesday
Mon, Oct 20, 2025, 12:53 PM
Marc Stein
NBA insider Marc Stein reports Ja Morant (ankle) is expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: After missing the entire preseason, Morant is reportedly on track to play in Wednesday's season opener. His return would come at an excellent time for the Grizzlies, who will be without backups Ty Jerome (calf) and Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) for multiple weeks. Rookie Javon Small may take on rotation minutes off the bench depending on how much Morant is allowed to play. He's not a must-stream player, but tracking Small's role and playing time would be a good idea.
Ty Jerome
Ty Jerome (calf) to miss at least four weeks
Mon, Oct 20, 2025, 12:42 PM
Memphis Grizzlies
Ty Jerome (calf) will be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Analysis: Jerome injured his right calf four minutes into Friday's preseason finale against the Heat. According to the Grizzlies, the guard has been diagnosed with a high-grade calf strain and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. With Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) out indefinitely and Ja Morant (ankle) working his way back after missing the entire preseason, rotation minutes may be available to rookie Javon Small. While solid during the preseason, Small is a deep-league streamer at best.
Ty Jerome
Ty Jerome injures calf during win over Miami

Michael Wallace
Ty Jerome (calf) played four minutes in Friday's win over the Heat, finishing with two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Analysis: Jerome, who missed both shot attempts, injured his calf four minutes into Friday's preseason finale. The Grizzlies were already without Ja Morant (ankle), and it was announced on Saturday that Scotty Pippen Jr. will undergo surgery to address a toe injury. If Jerome misses time and Morant remains out, the Grizzlies may begin the regular season with a point guard rotation of Javon Small and Cam Spencer. There's no need to draft either one, but both should be on your streaming radars ahead of Wednesday's opener against New Orleans.

Iisalo: Morant (ankle) ‘progressing well'
Sat, Oct 18, 2025, 8:16 AM
Michael Wallace
Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo said Friday that Ja Morant (ankle) is “progressing well” in his recovery.
Analysis: Morant, who sprained his left ankle in early October and was considered week-to-week, did not play in Friday's preseason finale. However, he did get in some on-court work before Memphis' win over Miami, and the Grizzlies hope to have their starting point guard back for the start of the regular season next week. And they can certainly use Morant, as Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) will undergo surgery and is out indefinitely. Also, Ty Jerome injured his calf during the win over the Heat. Cam Spencer may be pressed into action if Morant cannot play next week.
