Aaron Gordon, Jamal Murray available vs. Portland
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 2:18 PM
Denver Nuggets
Aaron Gordon (calf) and Jamal Murray (knee) have been upgraded to available to play against the Trail Blazers on Monday.
Analysis: Both players were initially listed as probable for this game and have officially been cleared to suit up. Murray and Gordon will both occupy their usual spots in the starting lineup as the Nuggets look to extend their winning streak to seven games.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) out Monday vs. POR
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 2:17 PM
Denver Nuggets
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) is out for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Porter will miss a second straight game due to tightness in his left hamstring. Julian Strawther should remain in the starting lineup, and he's worth streaming in this spot. The second-year wing finished Saturday's win over Phoenix with 18 points, six rebounds, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 39 minutes.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray (knee) probable vs. Portland
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 10:37 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jamal Murray (knee) is probable to play against the Trail Blazers on Monday.
Analysis: Murray should be able to play through the inflammation in his left knee once again. If something changes, Jalen Pickett would likely take on extra minutes, but the only chance he will have to start is if both Murray and Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) are sidelined.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) probable vs. Portland Monday
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 10:34 AM
NBA Injury Report
Aaron Gordon (calf) is probable to play against the Trail Blazers on Monday.
Analysis: Gordon continues to manage the right calf injury that has forced him to miss plenty of time this season already. He should be able to suit up against the Trail Blazers as Denver looks to win their seventh-straight game.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) questionable Monday
Sun, Feb 9, 2025, 1:30 PM
NBA Injury Report
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: MPJ was given a questionable tag Saturday before ultimately sitting out against Phoenix. If he's out again, Julian Strawther should see big minutes, especially with Russell Westbrook and Peyton Watson sidelined.
Julian Strawther
Julian Strawther has 18 points, 4 threes in win
Sat, Feb 8, 2025, 5:23 PM
Julian Strawther had 18 points (6-of-15 FGs), six rebounds, one steal and four 3-pointers against the Suns on Saturday.
Analysis: Strawther got another spot start, this time thanks to Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) being ruled out. He fared much better than he did Thursday when he scored just two points. The 22-year-old shooting guard was 6-of-15 from the field including 4-of-10 from behind the 3-point line. He didn't have any assists and has recorded more than three assists only once this season. Strawther is still too inconsistent for fantasy relevancy, but he showed that he can be productive in a role centered around scoring and outside shooting.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray has 30 points, 6 threes in win
Sat, Feb 8, 2025, 5:21 PM
Jamal Murray had 30 points (12-of-23 FGs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and six 3-pointers against the Suns on Saturday.
Analysis: Murray returned after a one-game absence due to left knee inflammation. He had a big game with Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) out. The 27-year-old point guard dropped 30 points and six 3-pointers on the Suns. He also had an impact on the defensive end with two steals and a block. After a slow start to January, Murray has been excellent over the last month of play.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic has 26/11/9 line in win over Suns
Sat, Feb 8, 2025, 5:19 PM
Nikola Jokic had 26 points (11-of-13 FGs), 11 rebounds, nine assists and one 3-pointer in the Nuggets' 122-105 victory over the Suns on Saturday.
Analysis: Jokic was highly efficient on offense as he scored 26 points on 13 shots while also dishing out nine assists in 29 minutes. The 29-year-old center was just one assist shy of another triple-double. Jokic has been playing at such a high level this year, he can't really take it upon himself to do more when the Nuggets are missing a starter like Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) Saturday. He's still the top-ranked player in all of fantasy basketball.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) ruled out Saturday
Sat, Feb 8, 2025, 2:14 PM
Denver Nuggets
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) is out for Saturday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Porter, initially questionable for Saturday's game, has been ruled out. His absence likely keeps Julian Strawther, who filled in for Jamal Murray on Thursday, in the starting lineup. He's worth holding onto until Porter is healthy enough to return.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) available Saturday vs. Suns
Sat, Feb 8, 2025, 2:12 PM
Aaron Gordon (calf) is available for Saturday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: No surprise here as Gordon was listed as probable with right calf injury management. The 29-year-old power forward played in a back-to-back earlier this week and continues to progress in terms of minutes played. He might even see more usage Saturday with Michael Porter Jr. ruled out.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray (knee) available Saturday vs. Suns
Sat, Feb 8, 2025, 1:39 PM
Vic Lombardi
Jamal Murray (knee) is available for Saturday's game against Phoenix.
Analysis: Nuggets head coach Michael Malone confirmed that Murray is back after sitting out Thursday's win over Orlando with left knee inflammation. His return means Julian Strawther heads to the bench, where his streaming value takes a noticeable hit. The second-year wing is only worth holding into in extremely deep leagues.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) probable vs. Phoenix Saturday
Fri, Feb 7, 2025, 1:41 PM
NBA Injury Report
Aaron Gordon (calf) is probable to play against the Suns on Saturday.
Analysis: Gordon should be good to go as he continues to manage his right calf injury. He played in both legs of Denver's back-to-back this week, which is a great sign for his progression. He should continue to play around 30 minutes, and he may see some extra usage with both Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. questionable.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray (knee) questionable vs. Phoenix
Fri, Feb 7, 2025, 1:15 PM
NBA Injury Report
Jamal Murray (knee) is questionable to play against the Suns on Saturday.
Analysis: Murray missed Thursday's game against Orlando, which allowed Julian Strawther to slide into the starting lineup. He really struggled in the game, but he should get another start if Murray is out again. Jalen Pickett also played 31 minutes off the bench and would be worth a look in deeper leagues.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) questionable Sat.
Fri, Feb 7, 2025, 12:55 PM
NBA Injury Report
Michael Porter Jr. (hamstring) is questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Suns.
Analysis: MPJ has reeled off three straight 30-point games, but he's in danger of sitting out Saturday. If he's sidelined, Christian Braun and Julian Strawther could see expanded roles.
Julian Strawther
Julian Strawther struggles in spot start Thursday
Thu, Feb 6, 2025, 5:25 PM
Julian Strawther had two points (1-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, three assists and one steal against the Magic on Thursday.
Analysis: Strawther got a spot start Thursday against the Magic with Jamal Murray and Russell Westbrook out. The 22-year-old isn't a point guard, but saw an increase in his usual playing time up to 31 minutes. Unfortunately, Strawther struggled as he went 1-of-8 from the field and missed all four of his 3-point attempts. It doesn't appear that Murray's injury will linger long, but Strawther didn't endear himself to fantasy managers as a potential streamer in the future with this outing.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. has 30 points, 5 threes in win
Thu, Feb 6, 2025, 5:23 PM
Michael Porter Jr. had 30 points (11-of-16 FGs), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and five 3-pointers against the Magic on Thursday.
Analysis: Porter Jr. stayed hot with his third-straight game with at least 30 points, at least seven rebounds and at least five 3-pointers. The 26-year-old small forward has been a third-round fantasy player over the last two weeks. Porter Jr. has also helped out fantasy managers on the defensive end with at least one block in five of his last six games. More consistency on the defensive end is the best way for Porter Jr. to raise his fantasy ceiling.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic has 28-point triple-double in win
Thu, Feb 6, 2025, 5:22 PM
Nikola Jokic had 28 points (11-of-16 FGs), 10 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in the Nuggets' 112-90 victory over the Magic on Thursday.
Analysis: A 28-point triple-double is just another game for Jokic at this point. That's how outstanding the 29-year-old center's season has been this year. Jokic was ready to step up with Jamal Murray and Russell Westbrook out, leading to more playing opportunities. He remains the top option in fantasy basketball.
Julian Strawther
Julian Strawther to start Thursday vs. Orlando
Thu, Feb 6, 2025, 2:43 PM
Denver Nuggets
Julian Strawther, Christian Braun, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, and Nikola Jokic will start Thursday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: The Nuggets are without Jamal Murray and Russell Westbrook for Thursday's game, so Michael Malone's team will not have a point guard in the starting lineup. However, a team can get away with that when Nikola Jokic is on the court. Strawther will fill in for Murray, and his move into the starting five boosts his fantasy value. Jalen Pickett should play more minutes off the bench.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) available Thursday vs. Magic
Thu, Feb 6, 2025, 2:05 PM
Bennett Durando
Aaron Gordon (calf) is available for Thursday's game against Orlando.
Analysis: Gordon, who played 31 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Pelicans, will play both games of a back-to-back for the first time since returning from his second right calf strain of the season. He'll occupy his usual place in the Nuggets' starting lineup, and there may be more playmaking opportunities for Gordon with Jamal Murray out. AG matched his career-high with 12 assists on Wednesday.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray (knee) ruled out Thursday vs. Magic
Thu, Feb 6, 2025, 2:04 PM
Jamal Murray (knee) is out for Thursday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: Murray played Wednesday against the Pelicans, but will sit out the second game of a back-to-back with a knee injury Thursday. Russell Westbrook is also out so Julian Strawther and Jalen Pickett are set for more minutes at the point guard spot, with one of them moving into the starting lineup.
