Nikola Jokic headlines All-NBA First Team quintet

NBA Communication on Twitter
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic were named First-Team All-NBA on Wednesday.
Analysis: The All-NBA first team offered no surprises, including the top four vote-getters for Most Valuable Player. Jokic, who won his third MVP in four seasons, led the way, with Gilgeous-Alexander, Doncic, and Tatum next. Rounding out the squad was Antetokounmpo, named All-NBA for the eighth time in his career. SGA earned All-NBA first-team honors for the second straight season. He and Jokic were the only unanimous selections.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope posts 5/6/3/2/1 line Sun.
Sun, May 19, 2024, 5:42 PM
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played 40 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Timberwolves, tallying five points (2-of-7 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and one 3-pointer.
Analysis: After hitting four 3-pointers and scoring 16 points in Game 5, Caldwell-Pope ended his season with a whimper. In Denver's losses to the Timberwolves in games 6 and 7, KCP scored 14 points on 4-of-13 shooting from the field (3-10 3-pointers). The veteran guard has been a mainstay in the Nuggets starting lineup, providing solid fantasy value. Caldwell-Pope finished this season ranked just outside the top 100 in 9-cat formats, but few fantasy managers are willing to roll the dice on him that early in drafts. KCP had a Yahoo ADP of 139.6, and that's unlikely to change in 2024-25.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. goes cold, scores seven points
Sun, May 19, 2024, 5:32 PM
Michael Porter Jr. shot 3-of-12 from the field in Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota, tallying seven points, nine rebounds, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.
Analysis: While Jamal Murray (35) and Nikola Jokic (34) combined to score 69 points, no other Nugget scored more than seven in Sunday's Game 7 defeat. Porter went ice cold, shooting 1-of-6 from beyond the arc and 3-of-12 from the field overall. Sunday night was a disappointing end for a player who provided fantasy managers with a top-75 season in 9-cat formats. Porter exceeded his Yahoo ADP (83.1) while appearing in a career-high 81 regular season games. As long as he stays healthy, MPJ should have a top-75 floor in fantasy basketball next season.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon struggles in Game 7 loss to Minnesota
Sun, May 19, 2024, 5:23 PM
Aaron Gordon shot 2-of-5 from the field in Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves, accumulating four points, four rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot in 42 minutes.
Analysis: A standout for most of this series, Gordon picked a terrible time to struggle. He didn't offer much value in Game 7, with Denver's “supporting cast” being outplayed by Minnesota after leading by 20 in the second half. Game 7 was the first Gordon failed to reach double figures since Game 1 when he tallied nine in another defeat. As for his season overall, AG finished the regular season ranked just inside the top 150 in 9-cat, per-game value. That wasn't on par with his Yahoo ADP (118.4), but the late-round production is unsurprising. Fantasy managers should expect similar value from Gordon in 2024-25.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic goes for 34/19/7/0/1 in Game 7 loss
Sun, May 19, 2024, 5:16 PM
Nikola Jokic accumulated 34 points (13-of-28 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), 19 rebounds, seven assists, one block, and two 3-pointers in 47 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Jokic recorded another elite stat line, but his production tailed off in crunch time. Minnesota's depth and Denver's lack of consistent options factored into the Joker playing tired, and the NBA will have its sixth champion in as many seasons. Jokic was once again one of the best players in fantasy basketball, ranking third in 9-cat formats and second in 8-cat. His days as the unquestioned 1.1 pick in drafts may be finished, as Victor Wembanyama appears poised to take over, but Jokic should be no worse than 1.3, regardless of league. Jokic is expected to play for Serbia in the Paris Olympics this summer, and their first group stage game is against the United States (July 27).
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray scores 35 points in Game 7 defeat

Vinny Benedetto on Twitter
Jamal Murray shot 13-of-27 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line in Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota, scoring 35 points with three rebounds, three assists, and four 3-pointers in 43 minutes.
Analysis: Murray came out scalding hot on Sunday, scoring 24 points in the first half. However, he cooled off considerably after halftime, and the lack of consistent help from Denver's supporting cast doomed the Nuggets. Murray, who had a Yahoo ADP of 41.2, finished the regular season as a 3rd-round player in 9-cat formats. The negative was his availability, as injuries limited Murray to 59 games. It would benefit fantasy managers if he can get to (or above) 65 games played. Murray is in for a busy offseason, as he said after Game 7 that he has committed to playing for Team Canada at the Paris Olympics in July.

Denver Nuggets on Twitter
Jamal Murray (left calf strain) is available for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: There is no surprise here, as the Nuggets have consistently listed Murray as questionable since his calf injury. The elbow injury he suffered during Game 6 was not included on the injury report, but that is another issue the Nuggets point guard will have to manage on Sunday night.

NBA Injury Report
Jamal Murray (left calf strain) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Murray is once again considered questionable for a playoff game, but he has yet to miss one this postseason. The concern ahead of Game 7 is that he's also dealing with an elbow injury suffered during Denver's blowout loss in Game 6. Murray should ultimately play, but the cumulative effect of the injuries is something to be mindful of.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon notches 12/8/4/3 line in Game 6
Thu, May 16, 2024, 5:21 PM
NBA injury report
Aaron Gordon amassed 12 points (4-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and a pair of 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
Analysis: Gordon surprisingly only trailed Nikola Jokic in points among Nuggets players and did a little bit of everything. He was efficient on offense and disruptive on defense in the Nuggets' big loss while many of his teammates struggled.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic scores 22 points in Game 6
Thu, May 16, 2024, 5:16 PM
NBA injury report
Nikola Jokic scored a team-high 22 points (9-of-19 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) on Thursday. He snared nine rebounds to go along with two assists and missed all four of his attempts from 3-point range.
Analysis: Jokic flirted with a double-double but didn't do nearly enough to keep Denver in Game 5. He shot under 50% from the field for the second time in the series and will get a chance to bounce back for Game 7 back home.
Jamal Murray

Jamal Murray (left calf strain) is active for Thursday's Nuggets-Timberwolves matchup.
Analysis: Murray hasn't missed a playoff game yet this year. While his playoff performance has dipped lately, he should take on his usual workload.

NBA Injury Report
Jamal Murray (left calf strain) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Murray continues to appear on the injury report, but the Nuggets point guard has yet to miss a game this postseason. Expect to see him on the court for Game 6 as the reigning champs look to close out the series. If not, Reggie Jackson will ascend into the starting lineup.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray finishes Game 5 win with 16 points
Tue, May 14, 2024, 7:22 PM
Jamal Murray accumulated 16 points (7-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), one rebound, four assists, and one steal in 41 minutes in Tuesday's 112-97 win over Minnesota.
Analysis: Murray has been considerably better since he scored 25 points on 9-of-32 shooting in the first two games of this series. While Tuesday's point total was modest, he shot 50% from the field and did most of his damage in the paint. Murray shot 6-of-10 in the paint, with five of those makes occurring in the restricted area. With Nikola Jokic abusing the Timberwolves and tallying 40 points and 13 assists without any turnovers, the Nuggets did not need a high-scoring night from Murray. Game 6 is on Thursday in Minneapolis, with Denver aiming to close out the series.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope hits four triples Tuesday
Tue, May 14, 2024, 7:18 PM
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope logged 38 minutes in Tuesday's win over Minnesota, amassing 16 points (6-of-8 FGs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers.
Analysis: With Michael Porter Jr. (6/7/1/0/2 with two 3-pointers) shooting 2-of-10 from the field, the Nuggets needed additional production from Caldwell-Pope. The veteran guard stepped up, with the 16 points and four 3-pointers being series-highs for him. KCP entered the series at less than full strength, impacting his production early on. But he looked sharp in Game 5, and the Nuggets are now one win away from a return to the Western Conference Finals. Game 6 is on Thursday night in Minneapolis.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon records 18/10/5/1 line in Game 5 win
Tue, May 14, 2024, 7:12 PM
Aaron Gordon finished Tuesday's 112-97 win over the Timberwolves with 18 points (7-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 34 minutes.
Analysis: Gordon recorded his first double-double of the series on Tuesday, supplementing the Herculean efforts of Nikola Jokic to help the Nuggets take a 3-2 series lead. While he missed his lone 3-point attempt, AG has been a credible shooter from beyond the arc and the foul line. Counting Tuesday's numbers, Gordon is shooting 8-of-13 from three and 9-of-12 from the charity stripe. During the regular season, he shot 29% from three and 65.8% from the foul line, so the production in this series has been a departure from the norm. However, a five-game sample size is nothing to scoff at. Gordon and the Nuggets will look to close out the series in Game 6 on Thursday.
Nikola Jokic
Unstoppable: Nikola Jokic goes off for 40 points
Tue, May 14, 2024, 7:08 PM
Nikola Jokic played 40 minutes in Tuesday's 112-97 win over Minnesota, tallying 40 points (15-of-22 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), seven rebounds, 13 assists, two steals, one block, and two 3-pointers.
Analysis: For the first time in this series, the home team won. And Jokic was the deciding factor, as Minnesota had no answer for him in Game 5. The Joker became the second player in NBA postseason history to finish a game with at least 40 points, 10 assists, and no turnovers, joining Chris Paul (2018). On the night he received his third Most Valuable Player trophy, Jokic showed the basketball world why he was bestowed that honor. He and the Nuggets will look to wrap up the series on Thursday night in Minneapolis.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray (calf) available for Game 5 Tuesday
Tue, May 14, 2024, 3:33 PM
NBA Injury Report
Jamal Murray (left calf strain) is available for Tuesday's game against Minnesota.
Analysis: While considered questionable on the initial injury report, the expectation was that Murray would play. He's officially available for Game 5, with the Nuggets having regained home-court advantage after winning Games 3 and 4 in Minneapolis. Denver will stick with its regular starting lineup; Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, and Nikola Jokic complete the quintet.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray (calf) questionable for Game 5 Tues.
Mon, May 13, 2024, 10:34 AM
NBA Injury Report
Jamal Murray (left calf strain) is questionable to play in Game 5 against Minnesota on Tuesday.
Analysis: Murray continues to deal with this calf injury, but it hasn't force him to miss any time during this postseason. That likely won't start in a pivotal Game 5, though if something changes, Reggie Jackson would start in his place.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic dominates Wolves with 35/7/7/3/1
Sun, May 12, 2024, 5:20 PM
Nikola Jokic provided 35 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, three steals, a block and a three-pointer across 39 minutes in Sunday's victory over Minnesota.
Analysis: Joker led his team in scoring and finished with his most points of this postseason run. He was a bit light on the peripheral contributions (especially for his lofty standards), but Jokic was still masterful across the board as he led his team to a much-needed win to even up the series with Minnesota. Jokic and Co. dropped their first two games of this series at Ball Arena, and after two road wins, they should be fired up for Tuesday's home date with the Timberwolves. Expect the three-time MVP to deliver another strong performance in the much-anticipated Game 5.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon scores 27 on 11-of-12 shooting
Sun, May 12, 2024, 5:08 PM
Aaron Gordon finished Sunday's win over Minnesota with 27 points on 11-of-12 shooting, adding seven rebounds, six assists, a steal, two blocks and a pair of triples across 41 minutes.
Analysis: Gordon had himself a night on Sunday, missing only one shot en route to a monster scoring performance. His 27 points are tied for the second-most in his playoff career, bested only by the 29 he dropped in Game 3 of the first-round series with Los Angeles. Gordon finished behind only Nikola Jokic (35 points) for the team lead in scoring in this one, and the 62 combined points from the two big men fueled Denver to a big win. The semifinal series shifts back to Denver for Game 5 on Tuesday notched up at two games apiece.
