Victor Robles
Victor Robles Getting start in ALCS Game 7
Mon, Oct 20, 2025, 3:32 PM
Robles will start in right field and bat ninth in Monday's ALCS Game 7 in Toronto.
Analysis: It's the first start since ALCS Game 3 for Robles, who is 1-for-12 with a 1:4 K:BB during the series. Dominic Canzone will retreat to the bench for the Mariners in Monday's winner-take-all contest.
Dominic Canzone
Dominic Canzone Exiting starting nine
Mon, Oct 20, 2025, 3:27 PM
Canzone is absent from the lineup for Monday's ALCS Game 7 against the Blue Jays.
Analysis: The left-handed-hitting Canzone had been in the lineup all nine times the Mariners went up against a righty this postseason, but he's just 3-for-27 during the playoffs and will take a seat Monday as the Blue Jays sent right-hander Shane Bieber to the bump. Victor Robles will play right field and bat ninth for the Mariners.
Logan Gilbert
Logan Gilbert Ineffective in Game 6 of ALCS
Sun, Oct 19, 2025, 10:23 PM
Gilbert was tagged with a loss after he pitched four innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on seven hits and a walk, while striking out three batters in Sunday's 6-2 defeat to the Blue Jays in Game 6 of the ALCS.
Analysis: Gilbert gave up two runs in the bottom of the second inning before later giving up a two-run home run to Addison Barger in the following frame and a solo shot to Vladimir Guerrero in the fifth. The right-hander has now posted a 4.20 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with 14 strikeouts over 15 innings in four appearances, including three starts, with Seattle in the playoffs so far.
Josh Naylor
Josh Naylor Homers in Game 6 loss
Sun, Oct 19, 2025, 10:19 PM
Naylor went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Blue Jays in Game 6 of the ALCS.
Analysis: Naylor notched a single in the top of the fourth inning before he later launched a two-out solo home run off Trey Yesavage in the top of the sixth. The first baseman is now batting .341 with three home runs, four RBI, seven runs scored and two stolen bases over 44 at-bats in 11 games so far in the postseason.
Logan Gilbert
Logan Gilbert Gets ball for Game 6
Sat, Oct 18, 2025, 3:25 PM
Gilbert will start Game 6 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays on Sunday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: As expected, Gilbert will toe the rubber in Toronto on Sunday after giving up three runs (two earned) over three innings in Monday's Game 2 start. Gilbert has a 2.45 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 11 strikeouts in 11 innings across three appearances this postseason. Trey Yesavage will be starting Game 6 for Toronto.
Julio Rodriguez
Julio Rodriguez Elevated to leadoff spot for Game 5
Fri, Oct 17, 2025, 1:58 PM
Rodriguez will start in center field and bat leadoff in Friday's ALCS Game 5 versus the Blue Jays.
Analysis: The Mariners tweaked their lineup in Game 4 and are shaking it up further for Game 5 after the Blue Jays evened the series Thursday. It's the first time since late July that Rodriguez has batted leadoff for Seattle. Randy Arozarena -- who had batted leadoff in every one of his starts since July 31 -- has been bumped down to the No. 5 spot.
Leo Rivas
Leo Rivas Another start at second base
Fri, Oct 17, 2025, 1:50 PM
Rivas will start at second base and bat ninth in Friday's ALCS Game 5 versus the Blue Jays.
Analysis: For the second straight game, the Mariners are going with Rivas at second base, Jorge Polanco in the designated hitter spot and Dominic Canzone in right field, with Victor Robles retreating to the bench. Rivas went 0-for-2 with a walk in Thursday's Game 4 loss.
Bryan Woo
Bryan Woo Available in relief for Game 5
Thu, Oct 16, 2025, 3:45 PM
Woo will be available out of the bullpen Friday in Game 5 of the ALCS versus the Blue Jays, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Woo had been a candidate to start Game 5, but the Mariners will instead turn to Bryce Miller for their final home game of the series. The 25-year-old Woo has not appeared in a game since Sept. 19 due to right pectoral inflammation, but he's healthy now and will give Seattle some length in relief, if needed.
Bryce Miller
Bryce Miller Slated for Game 5 start
Thu, Oct 16, 2025, 3:42 PM
Miller will start Friday's Game 5 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: The Mariners will turn to Miller again after he tossed six innings of one-run ball on short rest in Game 1. He will be taking the ball on regular rest Friday and will have Bryan Woo available out of the bullpen behind him to provide length, if needed. The Blue Jays are expected to counter with Kevin Gausman as their Game 5 starter.
Victor Robles
Victor Robles Idle for Game 4
Thu, Oct 16, 2025, 3:33 PM
Robles isn't in the lineup Thursday for Game 4 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays.
Analysis: Robles has gone just 3-for-26 (.115) in the postseason so far, so the Mariners will keep him on the bench Thursday. Dominic Canzone will take over in right field, moving Jorge Polanco into the DH spot and opening up second base for Leo Rivas.
Logan Gilbert
Logan Gilbert Gives up three in brief ALCS start
Mon, Oct 13, 2025, 7:59 PM
Gilbert didn't factor into the decision during Monday's 10-3 win in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series against the Blue Jays. He allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out two across three innings.
Analysis: Gilbert dealt with plenty of traffic on the bases in the bottom of the first inning, giving two runs back after his offense spotted him a three-run lead in the top half of the frame. The right-hander would surrender another run in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Nathan Lukes. Gilbert hurled 58 pitches before his removal, likely indicating that he'll be available either out of the bullpen or for another start later in the series if needed.
Jorge Polanco
Jorge Polanco Puts M's ahead for good in Game 2
Mon, Oct 13, 2025, 7:56 PM
Polanco went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 10-3 victory over the Blue Jays in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series.
Analysis: Polanco proved yet again to be a clutch hitter for the Mariners this postseason, launching a three-run homer in the top of the fifth inning to put his club ahead 6-3. This marks his third long ball of the playoffs, with his previous two coming against Detroit ace Tarik Skubal in Game 2 of the ALDS.
Bryan Woo
Bryan Woo Tentatively in line for Game 5
Mon, Oct 13, 2025, 1:35 PM
Woo (pectoral) is tentatively lined up to start Game 5 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Woo was not on the Mariners' ALDS roster as he works his way back from right pectoral inflammation, but he is on the ALCS roster and had a successful live batting practice session Monday that he referred to as "a huge positive." If he recovers well from live BP, it sounds as though Woo will start on Friday in Game 5, if necessary. If that happens, he will have gone nearly a month between starts, as Woo's last appearance came Sept. 19 against the Astros.
Andres Munoz
Andres Munoz Notches save in Game 1 of ALCS
Sun, Oct 12, 2025, 11:16 PM
Munoz pitched a perfect ninth inning on his way to a save in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS.
Analysis: Munoz was called upon to protect the team's two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, throwing seven of his eight pitches for strikes while setting down the side in order. The right-hander has now pitched 6.1 scoreless innings, allowing two walks and no hits, while striking out five batters and notching two saves over five appearances this postseason.
Logan Gilbert
Logan Gilbert Starting Game 2
Sun, Oct 12, 2025, 10:25 PM
Gilbert will draw the start on the mound for Game 2 of the ALCS on Monday, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Gilbert will make his second start of the postseason and third appearance overall in Game 2. The right-hander has given up one run on seven hits and a walk, while striking out nine batters over eight innings so far in the postseason. Gilbert made one start against Toronto in the regular season, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out nine over 4.2 innings on April 19.
Cal Raleigh
Cal Raleigh Launches another homer in Game 1
Sun, Oct 12, 2025, 10:11 PM
Raleigh went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS.
Analysis: Raleigh singled in the first inning before he was able to take Kevin Gausman deep in the top of the sixth for a solo shot, knotting the game up at 1-1. The catcher is now batting .400 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs scored over 25 at-bats in six games so far in the playoffs.
Bryce Miller
Bryce Miller Earns win in Game 1
Sun, Oct 12, 2025, 10:05 PM
Miller pitched six innings, allowing one run on two hits and three walks, while striking out three on his way to a win in Sunday's 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS.
Analysis: Miller surrendered a solo home run to George Springer on his first pitch the day, and he was forced to work around two walks in the first inning, but after that the right-hander hit his stride. Miller was able to finish his outing with five scoreless frames, allowing just two more batters to reach base. The 27-year-old certainly showed enough to potentially earn another start in the ALCS, and he's now given up three runs over 10.1 innings in two starts during the postseason.
Bryan Woo
Bryan Woo Set for bullpen session
Sun, Oct 12, 2025, 6:09 PM
Woo (pectoral) will throw a live bullpen session Monday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Analysis: Woo was officially added to the ALCS roster during the weekend, and he'll now look to prove his health with a bullpen session ahead of Game 2 of the series. The right-hander suffered a pectoral injury in mid-September, and he's yet to make his 2025 postseason debut.
Bryan Woo
Bryan Woo Included on ALCS roster
Sun, Oct 12, 2025, 10:14 AM
The Mariners added Woo (pectoral) to their active roster for the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: President of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto indicated Saturday that Woo was expected to make the roster after sitting out the past few weeks due to pectoral inflammation, so it's not a surprise the right-hander is active for the championship series. The 25-year-old was Seattle's best starting pitcher during the regular season with a 2.94 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 198:36 K:BB across 186.2 innings, but he likely won't be available to pitch for the Mariners until later in the week when the series shifts to Seattle after the first two games in Toronto.
Bryce Miller
Bryce Miller Drawing Game 1 start
Sat, Oct 11, 2025, 1:18 PM
Miller will start against the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS on Sunday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Analysis: The Mariners were forced to use three members of their rotation during Friday's 15-inning marathon against Detroit, so Miller will take the mound Sunday on just three days' rest. The 27-year-old threw just 55 pitches during his last appearance in Game 4 of the ALDS on Wednesday, so he may still be able to pitch fairly deep into Sunday's game despite his short recovery period.
