Logan Gilbert
Logan Gilbert Short outing vs. A's
Wed, Apr 22, 2026, 6:42 PM
Gilbert did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the A's, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out three.
Analysis: While Gilbert was ultimately able to limit the damage after giving up two runs in the first inning, the right-hander needed 89 pitches to record just 12 outs, as he failed to complete five frames for the first time this year. Through six starts this season, Gilbert sports a 4.36 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB across 33 innings. He'll look to turn things around in his next outing, tentatively lined up for next week in Minnesota.
Andres Munoz
Andres Munoz Blown save vs. A's
Wed, Apr 22, 2026, 6:32 PM
Munoz blew the save but picked up the win Wednesday against the A's, allowing a run on one hit in the ninth inning. He struck out one.
Analysis: Protecting a one-run lead, Munoz left a two-strike slider over the plate to Nick Kurtz, who launched a 438-foot homer to tie the game, sticking Munoz with his first blown save this year. The right-hander would ultimately come away with the win after Seattle answered with a walk-off run in the bottom half of the frame. After a stellar 2025 campaign, Munoz has been shaky to open 2026 -- he's given up eight earned runs across nine innings after allowing just 12 earned runs in 62.1 frames last year. His ERA sits at 8.00 with a 1.56 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB.
Cal Raleigh
Cal Raleigh Homers in third straight game
Wed, Apr 22, 2026, 6:25 PM
Raleigh went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the A's.
Analysis: Raleigh has officially heated up after an ice-cold start to the year. The backstop has homered in three straight contests, going 6-for-13 with just two strikeouts in that span. Overall, Raleigh is slashing .198/.281/.386 with five home runs, 14 RBI and two stolen bases across 114 plate appearances this season.
Casey Legumina
Casey Legumina Loses roster spot
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 4:28 PM
The Mariners designated Legumina for assignment Tuesday, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Legumina surrendered three earned runs on three hits and a walk in his inning of relief in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Athletics. The right-hander had started the season with five scoreless appearances, totaling 7.1 innings. However, in his last three games since April 14, he surrender six earned runs across 4.1 innings. The Mariners will promote Alex Hoppe from Triple-A Tacoma.
Dominic Canzone
Dominic Canzone Homer, two hits in loss
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 12:12 PM
Canzone went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Monday's 6-4 loss to the A's.
Analysis: Canzone extended Seattle's early lead to 3-0 in the second inning with his third homer of the season, a leadoff blast off J.T. Ginn. The 28-year-old Canzone has been limited to the strong side of a platoon to open the year, though he's been hot at the plate, going 5-for-8 with three extra-base hits in his last two contests. Overall, Canzone is slashing .275/.333/.569 with 10 RBI and nine runs scored across 57 plate appearances.
Cal Raleigh
Cal Raleigh Homers Monday
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 12:07 PM
Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-4 loss to the A's.
Analysis: Raleigh opened the scoring in the first inning with an opposite-field blast off J.T. Ginn, his third homer of the year and first in nine games. While Monday's long ball is promising, Raleigh's been stuck in an extended slump to open the season following his breakout 2025 campaign. He's slashing just .161/.248/.290 with a 30.5 percent strikeout rate through 24 games this year.
Josh Naylor
Josh Naylor Notches first steal of season
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 2:14 AM
Naylor went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a stolen base in a loss to the Athletics on Monday.
Analysis: Naylor knocked in a run in the first inning with his first double of the season. He added two more knocks (including another double) to finish with his first multi-hit game of the campaign. To add to his big night, Naylor stole his first base of the season following an eighth-inning single. He was a big surprise in the theft department when he collected a career-high 30 stolen bases during the regular season last year, but this was Naylor's first attempt in 2026. That's partly because he hasn't gotten on base much -- entering Monday, he was batting just .146 with a .231 OBP. Naylor is still at a poor .174 batting average even after Monday's big effort, but he may be turning things around, as he's gone 6-for-10 with two walks over his past three contests.
Brendan Donovan
Brendan Donovan Hoping for brief IL stint
Mon, Apr 20, 2026, 11:04 PM
The Mariners are optimistic that Donovan (groin) won't require a long stay on the 10-day injured list, Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Donovan landed on the 10-day injured list Monday after missing Seattle's previous two matchup due to the left groin injury. "It doesn't seem like it's going to be a longer-term situation," said manager Dan Wilson. "But again, we just kind of have to assess it as we go." Wilson also mentioned that Donovan's groin injury seems to be related to a sports hernia, which required surgery last October and forced him to miss the last month of the 2025 while with St. Louis. "This is just something that we're going to take as cautiously as we can. It's early and we want to give him the best chance to get back and be 100%," noted Wilson. An official timetable for Donovan's return should come into focus after he starts to make progress in his rehab.
Leo Rivas
Leo Rivas Filling in for injured Donovan
Mon, Apr 20, 2026, 6:27 PM
Rivas will start at third base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Athletics.
Analysis: Rivas will cover the hot corner for the third game in a row and could be in line for a regular starting role for at least the next week after Seattle placed Brendan Donovan (groin) on the 10-day injured list Monday. The 28-year-old hasn't provided much reason to get excited about his fantasy prospects; over 61 plate appearances on the season, he's hit just .143 with no home runs, no stolen bases, four runs and four RBI.
Will Wilson
Will Wilson Receives call-up to majors
Mon, Apr 20, 2026, 3:51 PM
The Mariners selected Wilson's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Analysis: Wilson will join the big-league roster as a replacement for Brendan Donovan (groin), who was moved to the 10-day injured list. Leo Rivas had started at third base in both of the Mariners' last two games and will likely serve as Donovan's primary replacement at the position, leaving Wilson in line to fill the utility role that Rivas had previously handled. The 27-year-old Wilson saw big-league action in 34 games with Cleveland last season, slashing .192/.267/.244 with no home runs and two stolen bases over 91 plate appearances.
Brendan Donovan
Brendan Donovan Sent to IL with strained groin
Mon, Apr 20, 2026, 3:48 PM
The Mariners placed Donovan on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left groin strain.
Analysis: Donovan missed the last two games with the injury and was unable to show enough improvement to avoid the IL. He will be eligible to return April 28, but it's unclear whether the veteran infielder will be ready to go on that date. Leo Rivas will continue to hold down third base while Donovan is sidelined.
Miles Mastrobuoni
Miles Mastrobuoni Moved to 60-day IL
Mon, Apr 20, 2026, 3:47 PM
Seattle transferred Mastrobuoni (calf) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
Analysis: Mastrobuoni had been in the midst of a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma and appeared to be on the cusp of a return from the 10-day IL, but his move to the 60-day IL likely indicates that he suffered some sort of setback over the weekend. As a result of the transaction, Mastrobuoni now won't be eligible to make his 2026 debut with the Mariners until the final week of May, though an exact timeline for his activation is unclear. The utility player initially suffered the right calf strain in March while playing for Team Italy in the World Baseball Classic.
Connor Joe
Connor Joe Logs steal in Sunday's win
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:19 PM
Joe went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: This was just the third time Joe has played since the Mariners selected his contract April 8. He has primarily functioned as a bench option, but he was in the starting lineup Sunday to give Josh Naylor some rest. Joe has a 1:3 BB:K over nine plate appearances, and the steal was his first of the season. Moving forward, he's unlikely to see steady playing time, assuming he's even able to stay on the big-league roster.
Rob Refsnyder
Rob Refsnyder Opens scoring with homer
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:16 PM
Refsnyder went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Refsnyder made an early impact with his leadoff homer in the bottom of the first inning. This was his first start since returning from the paternity list. Refsnyder has done little in a short-side platoon role to begin 2026 -- the homer was his first hit of the campaign, and he's batting just .045 with a 3:5 BB:K across 25 plate appearances. He slashed .269/.354/.484 across 209 plate appearances with the Red Sox in the 2025 regular season. His playing time will likely remain limited, especially if he doesn't show more consistency at the plate.
J.P. Crawford
J.P. Crawford Pops homer Sunday
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:14 PM
Crawford went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Crawford went yard in the second inning to extend the Mariners' lead to 3-0 at the time. The shortstop went 4-for-12 with three extra-base hits during this three-game series against the Rangers, which may spark his bat moving forward. On the year, he's hitting .213 with a .723 OPS, one homer, three doubles, six RBI and seven runs scored over 15 games. Crawford was also caught stealing on his lone attempt of the year so far.
Randy Arozarena
Randy Arozarena Homer, double in win
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:11 PM
Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Arozarena provided the Mariners' last runs of the game with a fifth-inning blast. This was his fifth multi-hit effort over the last 10 games, a span in which the outfielder has gone 13-for-38 (.342) with four extra-base hits, six RBI and two stolen bases. He continues to hit well in the heart of the order, batting .293 with an .829 OPS, two homers, nine RBI, 18 runs scored, five doubles and five stolen bases across 23 contests.
Andres Munoz
Andres Munoz Strikes out three in save
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:08 PM
Munoz struck out three and did not allow a hit or a walk during a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Munoz's wild pitch allowed Jake Burger to get on base, but he was stranded there. Munoz has had a couple of abysmal showings in non-save situations, but he's converted all three of his save chances so far while keeping runs off the board in seven of his nine appearances. He's pitched to a 7.88 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB across eight innings this season. As long as Munoz continues to lock down saves, his status as closer should hold firm.
Bryan Woo
Bryan Woo Quality start in win over Rangers
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:04 PM
Woo (1-2) allowed two runs on four hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out six over seven innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Sunday.
Analysis: Woo was cruising through six innings before running into a little trouble in the seventh. He put together an efficient performance, throwing 54 of 85 pitches for strikes en route to his first win of the season. The results aren't going his way often enough, but his process is good -- Woo has a 2.25 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 26:6 K:BB through 32 innings over his first five starts of the season. He'll look to build off of this one in his next projected start, which is lined up to be on the road in St. Louis.
Dominic Canzone
Dominic Canzone Taking seat against lefty
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 2:56 PM
Canzone is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Analysis: Canzone will take a seat along with fellow left-handed hitters Luke Raley, Brendan Donovan (hip) and Josh Naylor while the Rangers send southpaw MacKenzie Gore to the hill. With Canzone on the bench, Cal Raleigh will get a day off from catching but will remain in the lineup at designated hitter.
Luke Raley
Luke Raley Idle for series finale
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 2:55 PM
Raley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Analysis: After a stretch of nine consecutive starts, the left-handed-hitting Raley will hit the bench Sunday while southpaw MacKenzie Gore toes the rubber for Texas. With Raley sitting, Rob Refsnyder will enter the starting nine in right field and will bat leadoff.
