Andres Munoz Secures 13th save
Sun, Jun 21, 2026, 10:05 PM
Munoz picked up the save in Sunday's 3-1 victory over the Red Sox. He allowed a hit and no walks while striking out two over a scoreless inning.
Analysis: Munoz had little trouble finishing off the Red Sox, working past a one-out single from Mickey Gasper by striking out Willson Contreras and Jarren Duran to secure his 13th save of the season. It has been an uneven season for the well-regarded closer, as he owns a 5.27 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 41:13 K:BB with five blown saves across 27.1 innings (30 appearances). Munoz has gotten the job done of late, though, converting saves in each of his three most recent outings with no runs allowed.
Logan Gilbert
Logan Gilbert Earns sixth win
Sun, Jun 21, 2026, 10:01 PM
Gilbert (6-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over 6.1 innings against the Red Sox. He struck out eight.
Analysis: Gilbert was in control throughout the outing, with his lone blemish coming on a Nate Eaton solo homer in the third inning. The big right-hander has punched out at least eight batters in three of his past four starts and reached the 100-strikeout mark in Sunday's win. Gilbert will take a 3.29 ERA and 1.01 WHIP across 93 innings (16 starts) into his next outing, which is lined up for next weekend against the Guardians.
Dominic Canzone
Dominic Canzone Dealing with hamstring injury
Sun, Jun 21, 2026, 6:18 PM
Canzone suffered a right hamstring injury during Sunday's 3-1 win over the Red Sox, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Canzone exited the contest in the bottom of the sixth frame after busting it down the line on the groundout. The 28-year-old grasped at his right leg after hustling to first base, and it is now understood to be a hamstring injury. Canzone will travel with the team to Pittsburgh before Seattle will open a three-game series against the Pirates on Tuesday, and he is considered day-to-day for the time being.

Dominic Canzone Departs with injury Sunday
Sun, Jun 21, 2026, 4:52 PM
Canzone exited Sunday's contest against the Red Sox in the sixth inning due to a right leg injury, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Canzone pulled up lame after producing an RBI-groundout in the bottom of the sixth inning, grabbing at the back of his right leg before departing with the training staff. His day has come to a premature end having gone 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI. Luke Raley has taken over in right field against Boston.
Luke Raley

Sun, Jun 21, 2026, 3:09 PM
Raley (illness) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Analysis: Raley will be on the bench for a sixth straight game, but his absence Sunday may have more to do with a lefty (Payton Tolle) making the start for Boston. The 31-year-old made enough progress in his recovery from an illness to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Saturday's 5-1 loss, with Raley striking out in his lone at-bat.
Colt Emerson
Colt Emerson On bench Sunday
Sun, Jun 21, 2026, 2:12 PM
Emerson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Analysis: Emerson started the previous nine games after missing a couple contests due to back spasms, and he'll receive Sunday off after going 5-for-29 (.172 average) with two homers and 10 strikeouts during that nine-game stretch. J.P. Crawford is handling shortstop in the series finale versus Boston while Weston Wilson starts at the hot corner.
Luke Raley
Luke Raley Out again Saturday
Sat, Jun 20, 2026, 5:31 PM
Raley (illness) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.
Analysis: Raley was originally expected to return to the lineup Friday, but he'll instead miss a fifth consecutive start Saturday while he recovers from the flu. Connor Joe, Julio Rodriguez and Rob Refsnyder will make up the Mariners' outfield unit with Raley out.
Victor Robles
Victor Robles Sitting Saturday
Sat, Jun 20, 2026, 5:26 PM
Robles isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Boston.
Analysis: Robles will step out of the starting nine Saturday after going 0-for-2 during the series opener Friday. While he rests, Connor Joe, Julio Rodriguez and Rob Refsnyder will start across the outfield.
Curtis Washington Jr.
Curtis Washington Jr. Outrighted to High-A
Sat, Jun 20, 2026, 1:18 PM
Washington cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to High-A Everett.
Analysis: Washington was added to the Mariners' active roster Tuesday to serve as emergency bench depth on short notice, but he'll now return to High-A and give up his spot on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old outfielder is slashing .203/.296/.419 across 170 plate appearances at Everett this season and could make a push to reach Double-A by the end of the year.
Julio Rodriguez
Julio Rodriguez Returns to lineup Friday
Fri, Jun 19, 2026, 5:16 PM
Rodriguez (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Friday's matchup against Boston.
Analysis: After exiting early from Wednesday's matchup and riding the pine on Thursday, Rodriguez is back in the lineup for the series opener against Boston on Friday. The 25-year-old will play center field and bat third for Seattle.
Miles Mastrobuoni
Miles Mastrobuoni Designated for assignment
Fri, Jun 19, 2026, 5:09 PM
The Mariners designated Mastrobuoni for assignment Friday.
Analysis: Mastrobuoni went 5-for-23 with an RBI and three runs scored during his eight-game stint with the Mariners, but he'll now lose his place on the 26-man and 40-man rosters in favor of Weston Wilson. Mastrobuoni owns just a .567 OPS across 474 plate appearances in his MLB career, but his defensive versatility could draw some attention on the waiver wire.
Weston Wilson
Weston Wilson Contract selected by Seattle
Fri, Jun 19, 2026, 5:07 PM
The Mariners selected Wilson's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.
Analysis: Wilson will return for his second stint in the majors this season, this time with a different team in Seattle. The 31-year-old appeared in 21 games with Baltimore before being designated for assignment June 6. Wilson slashed .231/.348/.33 with one homer in 46 plate appearances with the Orioles. Seattle designated Miles Mastrobuoni for assignment in order to make room for Wilson on the roster.
Colt Emerson
Colt Emerson Drives in two, swipes first bag
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 9:15 PM
Emerson went 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-0 win over Baltimore.
Analysis: In his first plate appearance, Emerson lined a two-run single as part of a three-run frame that ultimately accounted for the game's only scoring. He also swiped his first base of the season in the first inning. The young infielder is batting 5-for-22 (.227) since returning to the lineup on June 11. On the season, Emerson is slashing .235/.309/.529 with six home runs, five doubles, a triple, 16 RBI and 13 runs across 26 contests.
Andres Munoz
Andres Munoz Collects 12th save
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 8:24 PM
Munoz earned the save Thursday against the Orioles, allowing two walks while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.
Analysis: Munoz was handed a three-run lead in the ninth and made things a bit interesting. The right-hander issued walks to Gunnar Henderson and Samuel Basallo, bringing the tying run to the plate, but ultimately closed out the victory to secure his 12th save in 17 opportunities. He's recorded consecutive scoreless appearances for the first time since May 22. Munoz now owns a 5.47 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and a 39:13 K:BB across 26.1 innings.
Bryan Woo
Bryan Woo Dominates Orioles with nine K's
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 7:36 PM
Woo (6-5) earned the win Thursday against the Orioles, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out nine over seven scoreless innings.
Analysis: Woo turned in one of his best starts of the season, tossing 61 of his 89 pitches for strikes while generating 12 whiffs. The right-hander was overpowering Thursday, striking out five consecutive batters during one stretch and allowing just two baserunners through his first seven innings of work. He returned for the eighth but issued a leadoff walk and surrendered a single, prompting his exit before any damage could be done. The outing continued a boom-or-bust stretch for Woo, who has recorded three starts of six or more scoreless innings over his last six appearances but has also allowed a combined 16 runs in the other three. The 26-year-old now owns a 3.49 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 88:16 K:BB across 89 innings and should be lined up for a road start against Pittsburgh next time out.
Julio Rodriguez
Julio Rodriguez Taking seat Thursday
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 1:21 PM
Rodriguez (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Baltimore.
Analysis: Rodriguez was forced to make an early exit from Wednesday's game due to hamstring spasms, and he'll take a day off Thursday to recover. With both Rodriguez and Luke Raley (back) sitting with injuries, the Mariners will start Miles Mastrobuoni, Victor Robles and Dominic Canzone across the outfield.
Luke Raley
Luke Raley Expected back Friday
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 1:16 PM
Raley isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles due to the flu, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Mariners manager Dan Wilson said that Raley is over the back tightness that caused him to miss the last two games, but the outfielder has since caught a flu bug. Raley is expected back in the lineup Friday. In the meantime, Miles Mastrobuoni, Victor Robles and Dominic Canzone will form Seattle's outfield trio Thursday.
Josh Naylor
Josh Naylor Back in lineup
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 1:12 PM
Naylor (shin/wrist) will start at first base and bat third Thursday against the Orioles.
Analysis: Naylor missed the Mariners' last two games while dealing with a bruised shin and sore wrist, but both issues appear to have subsided ahead of Thursday's series finale. The 28-year-old has been heating up this month, slashing .250/.308/.500 with three homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored over 12 games since June 1.
Weston Wilson
Weston Wilson Catches on with Seattle
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 11:25 AM
The Mariners signed Wilson to a minor-league contract Sunday and assigned him to Triple-A Tacoma.
Analysis: Wilson has gotten off to a hot start at the plate since reporting to Tacoma earlier this week, going 6-for-9 with a double, a walk and a pair of stolen bases in his first two games. The 31-year-old had previously spent the start of the season with the Orioles, slashing .231/.348/.333 over 46 plate appearances in 21 games before being pushed off the 40-man roster earlier this month and electing free agency upon clearing waivers.
Bryce Miller
Bryce Miller Part of piggyback plan Friday
Thu, Jun 18, 2026, 9:08 AM
Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said Tuesday that Miller will start Friday's game against the Red Sox and will be piggybacked by Luis Castillo, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Miller and Castillo both made standalone starts in their last two appearances as part of a six-man rotation, but the two will be deployed in tandem Friday while Seattle shifts back to a five-man setup. The Mariners previously used Miller and Castillo in a piggyback arrangement on three other occasions back in May, with Miller working between five and 5.2 innings in those contests while logging a 1.15 ERA and 0.57 WHIP. Expect Miller to handle a similar workload Friday, as Jude notes that the right-hander will be limited to around 75-to-80 pitches before turning the ball over to Castillo. Hollander relayed that all six of the team's starters will rotate through and have one piggyback outing until the All-Star break, so Miller and Castillo will likely be separated and make traditional starts when their turn in the pitching schedule comes up again next week.
