Agustin Ramirez
Agustin Ramirez Slugs second homer
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 10:52 AM
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: The 24-year-old backstop took Michael McGreevy deep in the fifth inning, giving the Marlins a brief 2-1 lead before they moved ahead for good in the sixth. Ramirez is struggling to build some momentum at the plate, striking out at least once in six straight games while batting just .143 (3-for-21). On the season, he's slashing .222/.297/.370 with two homers, one steal, 11 runs and 11 RBI in 22 contests.
Otto Lopez
Otto Lopez Swipes fourth bag
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 10:49 AM
Lopez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: The Marlins' shortstop extended his hitting streak to nine games with another strong performance. Lopez has had a blistering start to 2026, slashing .337/.391/.554 through 22 contests with 10 extra-base hits, including three homers, along with four steals, 11 RBI and 18 runs while consistently batting in the middle of the order.
Pete Fairbanks
Pete Fairbanks Collects fourth save
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 10:47 AM
Fairbanks struck out two and gave up one run on one hit in the ninth inning Monday to record his fourth save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: A leadoff triple by Masyn Winn made things interesting, but Fairbanks locked in after a Ramon Urias sacrifice fly brought him home. The right-hander has converted four of five save chances to begin the season, but a couple shaky appearances have left him with a 7.88 ERA through eight innings despite a sharp 1.13 WHIP and 12:1 K:BB. Fairbanks has a firm hold of the closing job for Miami.
Max Meyer
Max Meyer Fans season-high eight Monday
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 10:38 AM
Meyer didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out eight.
Analysis: The eight K's were a season high, and Meyer saw a season-high workload with 5.1 innings and 91 pitches (59 strikes). The right-hander is beginning to find a groove, posting a 3.52 ERA and 17:6 K:BB over his last three starts and 15.1 innings, but he has yet to put together a truly dominant outing despite the fact that his slider is producing an eye-popping 50.8 percent whiff rate in the early going. Meyer will look to carry his momentum into his next start, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in San Francisco.
Christopher Morel
Christopher Morel Kicking off rehab assignment
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 9:14 AM
Morel (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Morel is set to play five innings at first base in what will be his first game action since he went down with a left oblique strain in late March. He'll need a handful of rehab contests before rejoining the Marlins' active roster. Morel was slated to be Miami's primary first baseman before getting hurt.
Maximo Acosta
Maximo Acosta Activated and optioned
Mon, Apr 20, 2026, 2:31 PM
The Marlins activated Acosta (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday and optioned him to Triple-A Jacksonville.
Analysis: A left oblique strain delayed Acosta's start to the season. He's now recovered and has played three rehab games, but the Marlins have elected to keep him at Jacksonville where he can play every day.
Kyle Stowers
Kyle Stowers Two hits in season debut
Mon, Apr 20, 2026, 9:04 AM
Stowers went 2-for-3 with a double in Sunday's win over the Brewers.
Analysis: Getting the start in left field and batting cleanup in his season debut, Stowers also reached base on a hit by pitch. The 28-year-old outfielder is looking to make up for lost time after a breakout 2025 in which he slashed .288/.368/.544 with 25 homers in 117 contests, and he should be a fixture in the heart of the order for the Marlins.
Christopher Morel
Christopher Morel Closing in on rehab assignment
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 10:40 PM
Morel (oblique) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville during the upcoming week, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
Analysis: Morel was slated to start at first base in the Marlins' March 27 season opener versus the Rockies, only to be scratched shortly before the game due to a left oblique strain and then landing on the injured list a day later. The 26-year-old was given an estimated 4-to-6-week recovery timeline and looks to be eyeing a return on the short end of that window. Morel will presumably remain with Jacksonville throughout the upcoming week to pick up at-bats and regain timing at the plate, but he looks like he'll have a shot at returning from the IL before the end of April. Once he's reinstated, Morel may face competition for starts at first base from Connor Norby, though Norby could also move across the diamond and unseat the struggling Graham Pauley as the Marlins' primary third baseman.
Pete Fairbanks
Pete Fairbanks Locks down third save
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 9:55 PM
Fairbanks earned the save Sunday against the Brewers, tossing a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts.
Analysis: Fairbanks was dominant in the ninth, striking out the first two batters he faced on just three pitches each before inducing a groundout to secure the victory. It was the right-hander's third save of the season. After allowing three runs in back-to-back appearances to begin April, Fairbanks has now posted consecutive perfect frames, reinforcing that his role as the primary closer should remain secure.
Eury Perez
Eury Perez Strikes out seven over six innings
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 9:21 PM
Perez (2-1) earned the win Sunday against the Brewers, allowing one unearned run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings.
Analysis: Perez turned in a strong performance, cruising through five scoreless innings, including striking out the side in the second, before running into minor trouble in the sixth. After issuing a leadoff walk to David Hamilton, a throwing error by catcher Liam Hicks allowed him to reach third, and he later scored on a groundout. The outing was a much-needed correction after Perez allowed 15 runs over his first 20 innings of the season. The right-hander now owns a 4.15 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and a 27:12 K:BB across 26 innings, and will look to build on this performance in his next scheduled start against a Giants lineup that has struggled offensively this year.
Heriberto Hernandez
Heriberto Hernandez Likely to cede starts to Stowers
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 12:25 PM
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.
Analysis: Hernandez patrolled left field in 13 of the Marlins' first 21 games this season, but with Kyle Stowers (hamstring) making his return from the injured list Sunday, that path to playing time will close. Hernandez looks as though he may have to settle for a short-side platoon role in right field or at designated hitter after slashing a meager .137/.267/.176 through 60 plate appearances.
Graham Pauley
Graham Pauley Good to go Sunday
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 10:14 AM
Pauley (oblique) is starting at third base and batting ninth Sunday against the Brewers.
Analysis: The 25-year-old picked up a minor oblique injury Friday versus Milwaukee and was held out of Saturday's contest, but he'll return to the lineup Sunday for the series finale. Pauley has yet to get on track at the plate this season with no homers, a 1:13 BB:K and .174/.191/.304 slash line through 68 plate appearances.
Kyle Stowers
Kyle Stowers Back from injured list
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 9:16 AM
The Marlins reinstated Stowers (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. He'll start in left field and bat cleanup in the Marlins' series finale versus the Brewers.
Analysis: Stowers strained his hamstring during the closing days of spring training after dealing with a similar injury earlier in camp, but he'll make his 2026 MLB debut Sunday after completing a five-game minor-league rehab assignment. The 28-year-old is expected to see the bulk of his reps in left field and could also get some looks at first base. Regardless of where he's playing in the field, he should have plenty of RBI opportunities batting in the heart of Miami's lineup.
Deyvison De Los Santos
Deyvison De Los Santos Heading back to Triple-A
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 9:16 AM
The Marlins optioned De Los Santos to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
Analysis: With Kyle Stowers (hamstring) returning from the injured list Sunday, De Los Santos will head back to Triple-A in order to get regular playing time. Over his two abbreviated stints in the majors this season, the 22-year-old has gone 2-for-7 with a double and a 0:3 BB:K.
Sandy Alcantara
Sandy Alcantara Control issues in Saturday's loss
Sat, Apr 18, 2026, 6:52 PM
Alcantara (2-2) took the loss against Milwaukee on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and six walks while striking out one batter across five innings.
Analysis: Alcantara struggled with his command during Saturday's outing, resulting in at least two Brewers batters reaching base safely in four of five innings. He escaped a bases-loaded situation unscathed in the third but gave up his first run in the fourth before yielding a three-run homer to Brice Turang in the fifth frame. Alcantara had as many walks against Milwaukee as he did across his first four starts of the regular season. It was also the first time he did not complete the sixth inning this season, and he now sits with a 3.06 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 23:12 K:BB across 35.1 innings. Alcantara will look to snap out of his two-game losing streak in his next start, which is slated for next weekend on the road against the Giants.
Deyvison De Los Santos
Deyvison De Los Santos Returning to minors
Sat, Apr 18, 2026, 6:51 PM
De Los Santos will be optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
Analysis: De Los Santos was recalled April 10 and has started two games since. He has one hit across five at-bats in that span, though he'll return to Jacksonville in a corresponding move for the return of Kyle Stowers (oblique).
Kyle Stowers
Kyle Stowers Returning Sunday
Sat, Apr 18, 2026, 12:42 PM
Manager Clayton McCullough said Saturday that Stowers (hamstring) will return from the injured list Sunday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
Analysis: After playing five rehab games at Triple-A Jacksonville, Stowers returned to Miami on Saturday to be evaluated by the team. Now that he's been given a clean bill of health, the 28-year-old will officially make his season debut in Sunday's series finale against Milwaukee. He will reclaim his place as Miami's primary left fielder, though the Marlins also plan to give him a few reps at first base.
Graham Pauley
Graham Pauley Sitting out Saturday
Sat, Apr 18, 2026, 12:25 PM
Pauley (oblique) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers.
Analysis: Oblique discomfort forced Pauley to make an early exit Friday and will officially keep him out of Saturday's contest as well. However, he said he was feeling better before the game and has taken swings, per Christina De Nicola of MLB.com, so he may be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. In the meantime, Javier Sanoja will start at the hot corner for Miami.
Calvin Faucher
Calvin Faucher Tagged with loss Friday
Sat, Apr 18, 2026, 10:39 AM
Faucher (1-2) took the loss Friday against the Brewers, giving up three runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk in the 10th inning. He struck out one.
Analysis: Tasked with protecting a 4-4 tie, Faucher instead loaded the bases with nobody out before a throwing error by Xavier Edwards and then a double by Garrett Mitchell brought all three runners home. Faucher has had a very shaky start to the season, stumbling to a 6.43 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 11:8 K:BB through eight appearances and seven innings, and he could be slipping into a low-leverage role as a result -- his only hold so far in 2026 came back on April 5.
Otto Lopez
Otto Lopez Powers offense in loss
Fri, Apr 17, 2026, 10:04 PM
Lopez went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 7-5 extra-inning loss to the Brewers.
Analysis: Lopez finished the night a double shy of the cycle, highlighted by a 401-foot homer in the sixth inning. It continued a torrid start for the 27-year-old, who has now hit safely in 16 of 19 games to open the campaign while posting eight multi-hit efforts. Overall, he's slashing .347/.400/.583 with nine extra-base hits, 10 RBI, 14 runs scored and three steals across 80 plate appearances.
