Ozzie Albies
Ozzie Albies Collects two RBI vs. Toronto
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 9:01 PM
Albies went 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays.
Analysis: Albies smacked a sacrifice fly to bring Michael Harris home in the first inning before adding an RBI single in the third. It was Albies' 18th multi-hit game of the season and the sixth time in which he's driven in at least two runs. He's in the midst of a six-game hitting streak, going 9-for-23 (.391) with four RBI and three extra-base hits in that span.
Matt Olson
Matt Olson Smacks go-ahead homer
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 8:57 PM
Olson went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored during Atlanta's 4-3 win over Toronto on Tuesday.
Analysis: Olson broke the 3-3 tie in the sixth inning, when he took Kevin Gausman deep to right field for a 355-foot solo home run. Olson has smacked two home runs over his last three games and has gone deep 17 times this season, which leads Atlanta and ranks second in the National League behind Kyle Schwarber (22). Olson is slashing .265/.342/.559 with one steal, 46 RBI and 43 runs over 269 plate appearances this season.
Raisel Iglesias
Raisel Iglesias Works around two hits for save
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 8:53 PM
Iglesias earned the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Toronto, allowing two hits while striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning.
Analysis: Iglesias didn't make things easy for himself after allowing singles to two of the first three batters he faced in the ninth, but he came away with his 11th save of the season after getting the next two hitters to pop out. His save against the Red Sox on May 26 is Iglesias' only outing this season in which he's given up runs. He has a 0.96 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 22:3 K:BB across 18.2 innings this season.
Bryce Elder
Bryce Elder Bounces back with quality start
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 8:47 PM
Elder (5-3) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six across 6.2 innings.
Analysis: Elder was looking to bounce back from his last start against the Red Sox on Wednesday, when he allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits across 3.1 innings. He gave up a two-run home run to Kazuma Okamoto in the second frame of Tuesday's outing, but Elder limited the Jays to just one more run for the remainder of his start, finishing with 12 whiffs, seven groundouts and 64 strikes on 103 pitches. Elder is up to nine quality starts this season, which is tied for most in the majors with Chris Sale, Cristopher Sanchez and Michael Wacha. Elder will take a 2.63 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 78.2 innings into his next start, which is slated for this weekend at home against the Pirates.
Sean Murphy
Sean Murphy Sheds cast for splint
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 5:44 PM
Murphy had the cast on his left hand removed Tuesday and is now wearing a splint to protect his fractured middle finger, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reprots.
Analysis: The veteran backstop sustained the injury in mid-May and was given an initial recovery timeline of at least eight weeks. Shedding the cast is good progress, but Murphy is still several weeks away from restarting baseball activities, per manager Walt Weiss. Sandy Leon and Chadwick Tromp are currently handling the catching duties for Atlanta since Drake Baldwin (oblique) is also on the shelf.
Drake Baldwin
Drake Baldwin Could return next homestand
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 3:45 PM
Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Tuesday that Baldwin (oblique) could be activated from the 10-day injured list during the team's June 16-21 homestand, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Baldwin has been sidelined for the past two weeks with a Grade 1 right oblique strain. He has yet to resume swinging a bat, and Weiss has ruled the catcher out for a return during the team's current homestand or next week's road trip. However, Baldwin has progressed enough that a return around the middle of June looks doable.
Carlos Carrasco
Carlos Carrasco Back with Atlanta on MLB deal
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 10:44 AM
Atlanta re-signed Carrasco to a one-year contract Tuesday.
Analysis: For the third time this season, Carrasco has found his way back to Atlanta's big-league roster shortly after electing free agency. The 39-year-old has allowed two runs with a 4:0 K:BB over 7.1 innings in the big leagues this season and will give Atlanta's bullpen some length.
Ha-Seong Kim
Ha-Seong Kim Working on approach at plate
Tue, Jun 2, 2026, 8:23 AM
Kim has used his time out of the starting lineup to working on his approach at the plate in batting cages, Jesus Cano of The Athletic reports. "It's just so difficult when you don't have a spring training and when you've missed a lot of time for consecutive years," Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Saturday.
Analysis: Kim played only 48 games in 2025 and underwent surgery in January on a torn finger tendon on his right hand, and in 50 plate appearances since coming off the IL in mid-May he's slashing just .089/.180/.089. Jorge Mateo is handling starting duties at shortstop for now, but Atlanta is being patient with Kim given his layoff and the fact that he didn't have a spring training. Expect the 30-year-old to make a push to regain the starting job once he's had a chance to fully shake off his rust.
Hurston Waldrep
Hurston Waldrep Works two scoreless frames in rehab
Mon, Jun 1, 2026, 12:39 PM
Waldrep (elbow) allowed no hits and walked two batters over two scoreless innings during a rehab start Monday in the rookie-level Florida Complex League.
Analysis: Waldrep tossed 26 pitches (14 strikes) in his first official game action since September, after he ended up missing all of spring training and the first two-plus months of the season while recovering from a Feb. 23 arthroscopic procedure to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. The 24-year-old is expected to need close to the entire 30-day rehab window to build up his pitch count and iron out his control and command, so he's unlikely to re-emerge as an option for the Atlanta rotation until late June.
Carlos Carrasco
Carlos Carrasco Remains in organization
Mon, Jun 1, 2026, 8:31 AM
Atlanta outrighted Carrasco to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.
Analysis: Carrasco passed through waivers after being removed from the 40-man roster, and it appears he's agreed to an outright assignment to remain in the organization. The veteran right-hander has pitched well in his limited chances with the major-league club in 2026, permitting two runs with a 4:0 K:BB over 7.1 innings.
Anthony Molina
Anthony Molina Moved to Triple-A
Mon, Jun 1, 2026, 8:28 AM
Atlanta optioned Molina to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.
Analysis: Molina was in the bullpen this past weekend in Cincinnati but didn't make an appearance. Atlanta will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jays.
Hurston Waldrep
Hurston Waldrep Kicking off rehab assignment
Mon, Jun 1, 2026, 8:09 AM
Waldrep (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League team Monday.
Analysis: Waldrep is set for his first game action since he had surgery in late February to remove loose bodies from his pitching elbow. Per Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal, president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos said recently that Waldrep has been throwing in the mid-to-high 90s, so the right-hander already regained his velocity post-operation. Waldrep will likely require most, if not all, of his allotted 30 days on a rehab assignment before rejoining Atlanta's roster around July 1.
Working back from heel issue
Sun, May 31, 2026, 8:16 PM
Carey, who is working his way back from a heel injury, began a rehab assignment Friday in the rookie-level Florida Complex League, Lindsay Crosby of BravesToday.com reports.
Analysis: Carey has gone 0-for-5 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored through the first two games of his rehab assignment. The 19-year-old outfielder has been on High-A Rome's 7-day injured list since April 24, but he could be ready to return to action in the South Atlantic League at some point during the upcoming week.
Ronald Acuna Jr.
Ronald Acuna Jr. Goes deep again in loss
Sun, May 31, 2026, 4:33 PM
Acuna went 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks and two RBI in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Reds.
Analysis: Acuna took Nick Lodolo deep to lead off the game, homering in four straight games for the fourth time in his career. It's safe to say the 28-year-old is in a groove, as he's left the yard five times and stolen four bases during that four-game stretch. According to Mike Petraglia of MLB.com, he became just the fourth player in major-league history to accomplish that feat. For the year, the superstar is slashing .253/.380/.441 with seven long balls, 21 RBI, 27 runs scored and 12 steals across 208 plate appearances.
Spencer Strider
Spencer Strider Suffers first loss Sunday
Sun, May 31, 2026, 4:12 PM
Strider (3-1) took the loss against the Reds on Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over five innings.
Analysis: Strider only threw one scoreless frame despite generating 13 whiffs on 90 pitches and keeping the ball in the yard. It marked the sixth straight outing to open his campaign in which the 27-year-old limited opponents to three earned runs or fewer, though he has completed six innings just twice during that stretch. He'll carry a 3.77 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 40:17 K:BB across 31 innings into a home matchup against the Pirates next weekend.
Jorge Mateo
Jorge Mateo Settling into regular role
Sun, May 31, 2026, 12:29 PM
Mateo will start at designated hitter and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Reds.
Analysis: Mateo will stick in the lineup for a fifth straight game Sunday, this time handling a non-defensive role after his prior three starts came at shortstop. Atlanta could continue to move forward with Mateo as its primary option at shortstop over Ha-Seong Kim, who is in the lineup Sunday but may be ticketed for a part-time role after slashing just .095/.191/.095 over his 47 plate appearances since being activated from the injured list May 11. Mateo, meanwhile, has been much more productive when called upon this season, generating an .845 OPS while going 7-for-8 on stolen-base attempts in 81 plate appearances. With his playing time on the rise, Mateo could be worth a look for fantasy managers looking to make up ground in the steals category in particular.
Mike Yastrzemski
Mike Yastrzemski Idle against southpaw
Sun, May 31, 2026, 12:24 PM
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
Analysis: The left-handed-hitting Yastrzemski started in the first two games of the series and went 3-for-6 with a double, two walks, two RBI and a run, but he'll hit the bench Sunday while lefty Nick Lodolo takes the hill for the Reds. Mauricio Dubon will spell Yastrzemski in left field and will bat fifth.
Sandy Leon
Sandy Leon On bench Sunday
Sun, May 31, 2026, 12:22 PM
Leon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
Analysis: After starting in Saturday's 5-2 win and going 0-for-2 with a strikeout, Leon will hit the bench for the series finale while he and Chadwick Tromp have settled into a pattern of alternating turns behind the plate. Both backstops are valued mainly for their defensive abilities and are unlikely to offer much fantasy utility while they continue to work in a timeshare.
Ronald Acuna Jr.
Ronald Acuna Jr. Homers twice, swipes two bags
Sat, May 30, 2026, 10:35 PM
Acuna went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk and two stolen bases Saturday in a 5-2 win against Cincinnati.
Analysis: Acuna went deep for the third straight game and posted his first multi-homer performance of the season. Beyond that, he notched two thefts for the second time over his past three contests. The star outfielder has gone 4-for-10 with four home runs, seven RBI, five walks and four steals over that three-game span. That has brought his season slash line up to .246/.369/.419, and Acuna now has six homers, 26 runs, 19 RBI and 12 thefts through 45 contests on the campaign.
Raisel Iglesias
Raisel Iglesias Remains perfect on save conversions
Sat, May 30, 2026, 10:16 PM
Iglesias notched a save against the Reds on Saturday by tossing a perfect inning, during which he struck out one batter.
Analysis: Iglesias had a three-run lead to work with when he entered in the ninth inning. The veteran closer had little trouble putting Cincinnati away, retiring the side in order on 15 pitches (10 strikes). Iglesias missed 15 days in late April and early May due to a shoulder issue, but the injury didn't set him back at all. Since returning to action, he's gone 5-for-5 on save chances while giving up just two runs and posting a 10:2 K:BB over nine innings spanning nine appearances. Overall this season, Iglesias has converted all 10 of his save opportunities and has a sterling 1.02 ERA across 17.2 frames.
