Ronald Acuna Jr.
Ronald Acuna Jr. Homers twice, swipes two bags
Sat, May 30, 2026, 10:35 PM
Acuna went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk and two stolen bases Saturday in a 5-2 win against Cincinnati.
Analysis: Acuna went deep for the third straight game and posted his first multi-homer performance of the season. Beyond that, he notched two thefts for the second time over his past three contests. The star outfielder has gone 4-for-10 with four home runs, seven RBI, five walks and four steals over that three-game span. That has brought his season slash line up to .246/.369/.419, and Acuna now has six homers, 26 runs, 19 RBI and 12 thefts through 45 contests on the campaign.
Raisel Iglesias
Raisel Iglesias Remains perfect on save conversions
Sat, May 30, 2026, 10:16 PM
Iglesias notched a save against the Reds on Saturday by tossing a perfect inning, during which he struck out one batter.
Analysis: Iglesias had a three-run lead to work with when he entered in the ninth inning. The veteran closer had little trouble putting Cincinnati away, retiring the side in order on 15 pitches (10 strikes). Iglesias missed 15 days in late April and early May due to a shoulder issue, but the injury didn't set him back at all. Since returning to action, he's gone 5-for-5 on save chances while giving up just two runs and posting a 10:2 K:BB over nine innings spanning nine appearances. Overall this season, Iglesias has converted all 10 of his save opportunities and has a sterling 1.02 ERA across 17.2 frames.
Martin Perez
Martin Perez Goes five innings in victory
Sat, May 30, 2026, 10:10 PM
Perez (3-3) earned the win over Cincinnati on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two batters over five innings.
Analysis: Perez struggled with his control, throwing just 44 of 81 pitches for strikes and issuing three walks. However, he was mostly able to dodge damage, with the only runs against him coming on a JJ Bleday homer in the second inning. Perez benefitted from a pair of double plays behind him and went just deep enough to pick up his first victory since April 28. The veteran hurler is projected to make his next start at home versus Pittsburgh.
Ha-Seong Kim
Ha-Seong Kim On bench for third straight
Sat, May 30, 2026, 3:25 PM
Kim isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Cincinnati.
Analysis: Kim will grab a seat on the bench for a third consecutive game after going just 4-for-42 (.095) in 12 games since his return from the injured list. Jorge Mateo will start at shortstop for the third game in a row, and he could continue to get extra playing time while Atlanta waits for Kim to get on track after making his season debut a few weeks ago.
Austin Riley
Austin Riley Sitting down Saturday
Sat, May 30, 2026, 3:21 PM
Riley isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.
Analysis: Riley will take a day to reset after going 0-for-11 with two runs scored and seven strikeouts across his last three games. His absence will allow Mauricio Dubon to start at the hot corner while batting sixth.
Didier Fuentes
Didier Fuentes Nabs fourth win
Sat, May 30, 2026, 9:55 AM
Fuentes (4-0) picked up the win Friday over the Reds, giving up one hit and striking out one in 1.1 scoreless innings of relief.
Analysis: The 20-year-old right-hander took the mound in the fifth inning with Atlanta ahead 4-2 after Grant Holmes got the hook, and while Fuentes did allow an inherited runner to score, he did enough to be credited with the win. He's been tagged for an earned run in only one of his 11 appearances in May, posting a 0.71 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB in 12.2 innings on the month. His long-term future still lies in the rotation, but Fuentes is giving Atlanta valuable long-relief innings this season.
Dominic Smith
Dominic Smith Three hits in Friday's win
Sat, May 30, 2026, 9:50 AM
Smith went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Friday's win over the Reds.
Analysis: All three knocks were singles, but it was still the third time in his last seven games that Smith has recorded multiple hits and multiple runs scored. The 30-year-old is putting together his best campaign since 2020, slashing .336/.362/.513 through 128 plate appearances with five homers, 20 runs and 25 RBI while being Atlanta's primary DH against right-handed pitching.
Michael Harris II
Michael Harris II Drives in three in Friday's win
Sat, May 30, 2026, 7:47 AM
Harris went 3-for-5 with three RBI in Friday's 8-3 win over the Reds.
Analysis: He was caught stealing for the first time this season, but it was otherwise another productive effort from Harris. The center fielder has three multi-hit performances in the last four games and six in the last 10, boosting his slash line on the season to .308/.333/.535 with 13 homers, three steals, 27 runs and 36 RBI in 55 contests.
Ronald Acuna Jr.
Ronald Acuna Jr. Goes yard again Friday
Sat, May 30, 2026, 7:45 AM
Acuna went 1-for-3 with two walks and a solo home run in Friday's 8-3 win over the Reds.
Analysis: The star outfielder led off the game by crushing a Chris Paddack hanging curve 429 feet to left-center field. It was only Acuna's fourth homer of the season, but two of them have come in the last two games. Since making a mid-May return from a hamstring strain, Acuna's slashing .194/.370/.389 with a 10:11 BB:K to go with three steals, seven runs and eight RBI in 10 contests.
Grant Holmes
Grant Holmes Early exit in no-decision
Sat, May 30, 2026, 7:41 AM
Holmes didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 8-3 win over the Reds, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.
Analysis: The right-hander got handed a 4-0 lead before he took the mound for the bottom of the second inning, but Holmes wasn't efficient enough to stick around and collect the win, getting lifted after 80 pitches (52 strikes) with the tying runner on base for Cincy. Holmes put together a bumpy May, going 1-1 in five starts with a 4.38 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 28:11 K:BB over 24.2 innings. He'll try to tighten things up in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Blue Jays.
Anthony Molina
Anthony Molina Recalled from Triple-A
Fri, May 29, 2026, 11:03 AM
Atlanta recalled Molina from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
Analysis: Molina made one scoreless appearance for Atlanta earlier this season but has spent most of the year at Gwinnett, where he's posted a 4.50 ERA and 28:11 K:BB over 30 innings covering five starts and four relief outings. The righty will give the Atlanta bullpen some length.
Carlos Carrasco
Carlos Carrasco DFA'd again Friday
Fri, May 29, 2026, 11:01 AM
Atlanta designated Carrasco for assignment Friday.
Analysis: It's the third time this season that Carrasco has been removed from Atlanta's 40-man roster. He re-signed the first two times and eventually made it back to the majors, and there's a good chance he'll re-up again and report to Triple-A Gwinnett. The 39-year-old Carrasco has allowed two runs with a 4:0 K:BB over 7.1 innings covering four appearances during his time in the majors this season.
Jorge Mateo
Jorge Mateo On base three times in win
Fri, May 29, 2026, 9:08 AM
Mateo went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and an RBI in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.
Analysis: Getting the start at shortstop and batting seventh, Mateo put together his second straight multi-hit performance. The veteran utility player has seen his usage shrink since Ha-Seong Kim came off the IL in mid-May, but he's been surprisingly productive when given the opportunity. Through 41 plate appearances this month, Mateo is slashing .368/.415/.526 with three doubles, a homer, four steals, four RBI and nine runs.
Michael Harris II
Michael Harris II Goes yard again in rout
Fri, May 29, 2026, 9:04 AM
Harris went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.
Analysis: The center fielder took Jovani Moran deep in the seventh inning, boosting Atlanta's lead to 8-2 in an eventual 10-2 rout. Harris has been flexing his muscles to close out May, homering five times in the last nine games while slashing .350/.366/.750 over that span with one steal, nine runs and nine RBI.
Ozzie Albies
Ozzie Albies Goes deep Thursday
Thu, May 28, 2026, 6:42 PM
Albies went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, two total runs and two total RBI against Boston in a 10-2 win Thursday.
Analysis: Albies' pair of RBI came in the ninth inning when he closed the scoring with a 416-foot, two-run blast to center field. Albies also had a double in the contest, snapping a 20-game stretch without an extra-base hit that extended back to May 4. The veteran infielder is batting just .216 through 25 games in May, so he'll look to use Thursday's big performance as a catalyst to improved production.
Ronald Acuna Jr.
Ronald Acuna Jr. Belts grand slam, swipes two bags
Thu, May 28, 2026, 6:36 PM
Acuna went 1-for-3 with a grand slam, two walks and two stolen bases in a 10-2 win against the Red Sox on Thursday.
Analysis: Acuna drew a walk in two of his first three plate appearances and swiped a bag after each free pass. He then had the biggest swing of the game in the sixth inning, belting a 417-foot grand slam to expand Atlanta's lead from one run to five. The long ball was his first since April 24 -- a span of 16 contests. While Acuna's power hadn't been present of late, he's been increasingly more active on the basepaths, stealing three bags over his past two games and six total during the aforementioned 16-game stretch. His OPS still stands at an uncharacteristically low .720, but Acuna does have 10 thefts through 43 games after swiping nine bags across 95 regular-season contests last year.
Chris Sale
Chris Sale Strikes out eight in victory
Thu, May 28, 2026, 6:14 PM
Sale (8-3) earned the win over Boston on Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over five innings.
Analysis: Sale labored a bit more than usual, needing 96 pitches to get through five frames. The left-hander had a stretch of seven straight quality starts snapped, but he was still able to pick up his eighth win of the season, tied for second-most in MLB. Sale has had one poor start -- against the Angels on April 6, he gave up six runs over four innings -- but he's allowed two or fewer earned runs in his other 10 appearances. Overall, he's posting ace-like numbers, recording a 2.01 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 80:17 K:BB through 67 frames.
Ha-Seong Kim
Ha-Seong Kim Out of Thursday's lineup
Thu, May 28, 2026, 12:42 PM
Kim is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against Boston.
Analysis: Jorge Mateo will start at shortstop for Atlanta while Kim will head to the bench. After coming off the IL to make his season debut May 11, Kim has struggled to get it going at the plate, as he has gone 4-for-42 (.095 average) with just four runs and two RBI.
Bryce Elder
Bryce Elder Rare dud in third loss
Wed, May 27, 2026, 8:58 PM
Elder (4-3) took the loss Wednesday against Boston, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits and one walk in 3.1 innings. He struck out one.
Analysis: Elder danced around constant trouble throughout the evening but couldn't escape the fourth inning, when the Red Sox shelled him for six runs. The 27-year-old right-hander gave up a season-worst nine hits and five earned runs in his shortest outing of the year, also fanning a season-low one. Elder will be hoping to flush Wednesday's dud in his next scheduled appearance against the Blue Jays, still holding a strong 2.50 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 61:22 K:BB over 72 frames.
Sandy Leon
Sandy Leon Heading to bench Wednesday
Wed, May 27, 2026, 2:31 PM
Leon is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.
Analysis: Though he'll be on the bench Wednesday, Leon has seen the bulk of the work behind the plate since Drake Baldwin (oblique) joined Sean Murphy (finger) on the injured list May 19. Over Atlanta's ensuing eight games, Leon has made five starts to Chadwick Tromp's three. Even if that trend persists, Leon -- a career .206 hitter in parts of 14 big-league seasons -- shouldn't be considered a viable fantasy option.
