RJ Harvey
RJ Harvey Solid production with nine touches
Thu, Oct 15, 2026, 10:59 PM
Harvey rushed six times for 25 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 31 yards in the Broncos' 17-14 overtime win over the Seahawks on Thursday.
Analysis: Harvey finished with a team-high receiving yardage total on a night when Bo Nix threw for only 107 yards, and the second-year back made key complementary contributions on the ground as well. Harvey scored his first touchdown of the season on a one-yard run with 5:15 remaining in the second quarter, while his rushing yardage total tied a season high. Harvey projects to remain in his change-of-pace role when the Broncos visit the Cardinals in a Week 7 matchup on Sunday, Oct. 25.
J.K. Dobbins
J.K. Dobbins Grinds out yards, TD in OT win
Thu, Oct 15, 2026, 10:54 PM
Dobbins rushed 17 times for 41 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for five yards during the Broncos' 17-14 overtime win over the Seahawks on Thursday.
Analysis: Dobbins was in the customary position of leading the Broncos' ground attack in rush attempts and rushing yards, but he averaged only 2.4 yards per carry against a stingy Seahawks front. Nevertheless, the veteran back made a trip to the end zone for the second consecutive game, going in from four yards out early in the second quarter. After averaging 4.5 yards per carry in a Week 1 loss to the Chiefs, Dobbins has hit a wall in terms of efficiency, but he'll remain the top option in the ground attack for a favorable Week 7 road matchup against the Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Jaylen Waddle
Jaylen Waddle Back in Thursday's game
Thu, Oct 15, 2026, 9:20 PM
Waddle suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Seahawks but was able to return, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post and Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com report.
Analysis: Now that he's back after missing a handful of minutes of game action, Waddle will look to add to his two catches (on five targets) for 15 yards.
Tyler Badie
Tyler Badie Won't return Thursday
Thu, Oct 15, 2026, 8:30 PM
Badie (thumb) won't return to Thursday's game against Seattle, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. He finished with one carry for six yards.
Analysis: Badie suffered a thumb injury in the first half and was considered questionable to return. Now that he has been ruled out for the remainder of Thursday's contest, RJ Harvey and J.K. Dobbins should each get a few more touches.
Tyler Badie
Tyler Badie Questionable to return Thursday night
Thu, Oct 15, 2026, 8:14 PM
Badie (thumb) is questionable to return to Thursday's game against Seattle, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Badie suffered a thumb injury in the first half. He has just one carry for six yards in this contest, so his absence could mean a few additional snaps for J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey.
Available to play Thursday
Thu, Oct 15, 2026, 6:13 PM
Moss (ribs) is available for Thursday's game against the Seahawks, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Pat Surtain (ankle) and Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) aren't available, so the Broncos will be without two of their starters in the secondary. However, Moss will be able to return from his one-game absence, helping shore up the short-handed secondary against the threat of Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Sam Ehlinger
Sam Ehlinger Inactive, emergency QB in Week 6
Thu, Oct 15, 2026, 6:08 PM
Ehlinger (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against Seattle, though he is listed as the emergency quarterback, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: While Ehlinger is inactive for this contest, he will be available if Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham exit due to injury, illness or ejection.
Could return against Seattle
Wed, Oct 14, 2026, 6:56 PM
Moss (ribs) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Seahawks.
Analysis: Moss didn't play in the Broncos' 23-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday due to a rib injury, but he was able to log a limited practice Wednesday, which was good enough for him to draw the questionable tag for Thursday Night Football. Pat Surtain (ankle) has already been ruled out, so if Riley Moss is inactive, then Jahdae Barron and Kris Abrams-Draine would once again serve as Denver's starting outside cornerbacks.
Ruled out for TNF
Wed, Oct 14, 2026, 6:52 PM
Surtain (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Seahawks.
Analysis: Surtain was held out of practice all week by an ankle injury, which will cause him to miss a second consecutive game. Meanwhile, fellow starting outside cornerback Riley Moss (ribs) earned the questionable tag for Thursday's game, and if he returns, then the second starting spot would go to one of Jahdae Barron or Kris Abrams-Draine. Surtain's next opportunity to play is Week 7 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Facing multi-week absence
Wed, Oct 14, 2026, 1:06 PM
Hufanga (ankle) is expected to miss multiple weeks due to the injury he sustained in Sunday's 23-17 win over the Chargers, Jeremy Fowler and Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com report.
Analysis: Listed as a non-participant on the Broncos' first two Week 6 injury reports, Hufanga is set to miss Thursday's game against the Seahawks and looks like he could be in danger of missing additional time beyond that. Per Fowler, one source familiar with Hufanga's situation estimated that the safety could be sidelined for about 2-to-3 weeks, depending on how quickly he bounces back from the ankle injury. Hufanga has recorded 23 tackles (12 solo), three pass breakups, two interceptions, one forced fumble, one sack and one touchdown through the Broncos' first five games.
Evan Engram
Evan Engram Paces Denver pass catchers in Week 5 win
Tue, Oct 13, 2026, 9:34 PM
Engram caught all four of his targets for 55 yards during the Broncos' 23-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday.
Analysis: Engram entered Week 5 with a 2-23-0 receiving line on eight targets across his three prior games. His numbers against the Chargers weren't eye-popping, but Engram still led all Broncos pass catchers in catches and yards while finishing second in targets to Jaylen Waddle (five). It was the first game of the season in which head coach Sean Payton called plays instead of offensive coordinator Davis Webb, so perhaps Engram will be more involved in the gameplan moving forward. The Broncos will operate on a short week and host the Seahawks on Thursday.
Estimated to be limited Monday
Mon, Oct 12, 2026, 6:26 PM
Moss (ribs) was listed as a limited participant on the Broncos' estimated practice report Monday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports.
Analysis: Moss was unavailable for Sunday's 23-17 win over the Chargers as a result of an injury to his ribs that he suffered in Week 4. The cornerback was unable to practice at all last week, so Monday's estimated participation is a step in the right direction. Moss will have two more chances to officially practice before Thursday's matchup with the Seahawks.
Considered unavailable Monday
Mon, Oct 12, 2026, 6:21 PM
Hufanga (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on the Broncos' estimated injury report Monday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports.
Analysis: Hufanga suffered an ankle injury during the team's 23-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday, and the team will have a short week prior to facing the Seahawks on Thursday night. The safety will have two more chances to participate at practice this week, and if he can't go Thursday, Devon Key would be the top candidate to draw a start in Hufanga's place within Denver's secondary.
Wil Lutz
Wil Lutz Misses field goal in Week 5 win
Mon, Oct 12, 2026, 11:11 AM
Lutz went 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts and connected on both of his extra-point tries during the Broncos' 23-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday.
Analysis: Lutz extended Denver's lead to 10-3 with a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter before making two more field goals in the fourth, though he also missed a 42-yarder earlier in the period that would have given the Broncos a 10-point cushion. Lutz has missed a field goal in each of the Broncos' last three games, with two of those misses coming from within 50 yards. The Broncos will operate on a short week, as their next game is a Week 6 home tilt against the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.
Courtland Sutton
Courtland Sutton Reaches end zone in Week 5
Sun, Oct 11, 2026, 8:39 PM
Sutton posted two catches (on three targets) for 18 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 23-17 victory at the Chargers.
Analysis: Sutton has found the going tough through five games this season, sitting on 11 catches for 104 yards on 25 targets, but his five-yard TD connection Sunday with QB Bo Nix marked the wide receiver's first of the campaign, salvaging his day somewhat from a fantasy perspective. Considering his volume has fallen from 7.6 targets per game in his first two seasons working with Nix to 5.0 in 2026, Sutton doesn't hold much appeal at the moment in the Broncos offense.
RJ Harvey
RJ Harvey Earns only target in Week 5
Sun, Oct 11, 2026, 8:15 PM
Harvey notched three carries for seven yards and didn't haul in his only target during Sunday's 23-17 road win versus the Chargers.
Analysis: After being targeted a whopping 17 times over the previous two games, Harvey experienced a change in fortunes Sunday as no Bronco earned more than WR jaylen Waddle's five looks from QB Bo Nix. Harvey hasn't been able to get anything going on the ground this season (3.7 YPC) in his four appearances while Dobbins has earned the more consistent workload (13.8 touches per game), leaving the former a distant second in the pecking order out of Denver's backfield.
Jaylen Waddle
Jaylen Waddle Makes just two catches Sunday
Sun, Oct 11, 2026, 8:07 PM
Waddle corralled two of five targets for 19 yards and also had a nine-yard carry during Sunday's 23-17 road win against the Chargers.
Analysis: Waddle has hit once (8-138-0 on 10 targets in Week 2 against the Jaguars) and otherwise hasn't done much (10-66-1 on 21 targets) in his other four appearances in his first campaign with the Broncos. It didn't help any of Denver's skill-position players that QB Bo Nix's 27 passes went for only 123 yards, and a quick turnaround to face the Seahawks defense Thursday isn't a recipe for Waddle or any of his teammates to turn around their fortunes to begin the 2026 season.
Bo Nix
Bo Nix Switch in play callers falls flat
Sun, Oct 11, 2026, 7:58 PM
Nix was 16-for-27 passing for 123 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, took four carries for 10 yards and fumbled twice (one lost) during Sunday's 23-17 victory at the Chargers.
Analysis: With head coach Sean Payton taking over play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb in Week 5, the decision didn't exactly light a fire under Nix and the Broncos offense. Nix settled for his fewest passing yards of the season, but he at least tossed a TD pass (to WR Courtland Sutton) for a fifth game in a row to kick off the campaign, giving him a 6:3 TD:INT so far. Nix may have a tough time producing better results on a short week when Denver hosts the defending champion Seahawks on Thursday night.
J.K. Dobbins
J.K. Dobbins Scores first TD of season
Sun, Oct 11, 2026, 7:24 PM
Dobbins recorded 18 carries for 68 yards and one touchdown and gathered in both targets for six yards during Sunday's 23-17 win at the Chargers.
Analysis: Dobbins easily led both teams in touches with 20, which marked a season high, and he also reached the end zone for the first time in the current campaign. Meanwhile, fellow RB RJ Harvey was contained to three rushes for seven yards, marking his lowest touch count of 2026. Dobbins has received a more consistent workload among the two players with 13.8 touches per game (as opposed to 8.8 per contest for Harvey), making him the more appealing of the two backfield options in Denver.
Done for day
Sun, Oct 11, 2026, 5:42 PM
Hufanga (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's contest against the Chargers, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: Hufanga had his lower body bent backwards while making a tackle in the second half, and his day has now officially come to a premature end. In his absence, JL Skinner and Devon Key are both candidates to see increased opportunities at safety.
