Full participant Friday
Fri, Oct 23, 2026, 9:06 PM
Durant (hamstring) was a full participant in Friday's practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Durant upgraded to a full participant in Friday's practice after being limited to start Week 7 prep Thursday. The cornerback has one more session to maintain his current participation standards in anticipation of Monday night's game against the Eagles.
Practice window opens
Fri, Oct 23, 2026, 8:37 PM
The Cowboys opened Locke's (foot) 21-day practice window Friday, Tommy Yarrish of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The Cowboys placed Locke on injured reserve Sept. 26. The safety likely won't be available for Monday night's showdown with the Eagles, but Week 8 against the Cardinals is on the table. Locke will need to be activated by Nov. 13, or he must spend the remainder of the 2026 season on IR.
George Pickens
George Pickens Full practice Friday
Fri, Oct 23, 2026, 3:34 PM
Pickens (shoulder) was a full participant in Friday's practice, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Analysis: With Pickens upgrading from limited participation Thursday to full Friday, he appears to be good to go for Monday night against the Eagles. Pickens hasn't shown much of a fantasy ceiling to this point, outside of Week 5 against the Bucs when CeeDee Lamb was battling a quad issue, but few have the raw upside he possesses most weeks.
George Pickens
George Pickens Practices Friday
Fri, Oct 23, 2026, 1:55 PM
Pickens (shoulder) was present at Friday's practice, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: After being listed as a limited participant Thursday due to the shoulder issue, Pickens' presence at practice Friday is at least a positive sign for his Week 7 availability Monday night against the Eagles. It's been a slow start to the 2026 season for Pickens, who has just one 100-yard receiving game and one touchdown through six contests as fantasy's overall WR24 in half-PPR points per game.
Has practice window opened
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 8:22 PM
The Cowboys designated Liufau (forearm) to return from injured reserve Thursday.
Analysis: The move opens Liufau's 21-day practice window, meaning the Cowboys can take up to three weeks to decide whether to activate the third-year defender or rule him out for the season. Liufau was a limited participant in practice Thursday, per Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site, and it's unclear if he'll be activated ahead of Monday's matchup in Philadelphia. Liufau was primarily a special-teamer last season and could take on a similar role as a rotational linebacker upon his potential return.
Logs limited practice Thursday
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 7:54 PM
Durant (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Analysis: Durant has been sidelined for the Cowboys' past four games with a hamstring injury he suffered back in Week 2 versus the Commanders, and his availability for Week 7 is now in question. His activity at practice Friday and Saturday should offer more insight into whether he'll be able to play Monday at Philadelphia.
KaVontae Turpin
KaVontae Turpin Misses practice Thursday
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 7:47 PM
Turpin (ribs) did not participate at practice Thursday, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Analysis: Turpin is not expected to be available for Monday's game at Philadelphia, so it doesn't come as a big surprise that he's unable to practice as the Cowboys begin preparing for the Week 7 tilt. Unless he returns to practice Friday or Saturday, he should be expected to be out come Monday.
Appears ready to return to action
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 7:02 PM
Overshown (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Overshown hasn't played since suffering a hamstring injury Week 1 versus the Giants. However, director of player personnel Stephen Jones said Monday that the linebacker has a "great chance" to play in Week 7, and Overshown's return to action seems all but certain given his ability to log a full practice Thursday. Should he in fact suit up, Overshown should slide back in as a starter after logging a 74 percent defensive snap share in his lone appearance so far this season.
George Pickens
George Pickens Dealing with shoulder injury
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 3:46 PM
Pickens was a limited practice participant Thursday due to a shoulder injury, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Analysis: Pickens avoided the Cowboys' injury report through the first six weeks of the season, but he now has made an appearance to kick off Week 7 prep. Considering he was listed as limited, it may be more of a maintenance day for the fifth-year pro, who so far has begun the 2026 campaign with a 33-428-1 line on 52 targets. Pickens has two more chances to get back to full ahead of Monday's contest at Philadelphia.
Secures 12 takedowns in loss
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 9:14 PM
Downs recorded 12 total tackles (six solo) during Sunday night's 23-13 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Downs led the team in takedowns while notching a new career-high 12 stops in Week 6. The rookie hasn't missed a defensive snap since Week 1, and he has now produced 43 total tackles (25 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding a pass defensed and two forced fumbles over the first six regular-season games of his career.
Joins active roster with Dallas
Tue, Oct 20, 2026, 6:12 PM
Thomas was signed to the Cowboys' active roster Tuesday.
Analysis: Thomas will officially join the active roster with Dallas after being elevated from the practice squad for each of the team's last three contests. The 26-year-old will provide the team with an additional experienced option at safety moving forward.
Brandon Aubrey
Brandon Aubrey Mostly uninvolved in loss
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 8:16 PM
Aubrey did not attempt any field goals but converted his only extra-point try during Sunday's 23-13 loss at Green Bay.
Analysis: In a game where the Cowboys fell into a hole early and turned the ball over three times in opposing territory, Aubrey was mostly a spectator, failing to make at least one field goal in a game for the first time since Week 1 against the Giants. Dallas' offense will have better days than it did Sunday, and one of those could come in Week 7 against a Philadelphia defense that has looked poor at times this season.
KaVontae Turpin
KaVontae Turpin Likely to miss Week 7
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 7:07 PM
Turpin (ribs) is expected to miss the team's Week 7 matchup with the Eagles, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Turpin suffered an injury to his ribs on the opening kickoff during the team's loss to the Packers on Sunday night. The wide receiver now appears to be on track to miss at least one game while recovering from the injury. His absence would primarily impact the team on special teams versus Philadelphia.
Set to miss time with strained Achilles
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 6:31 PM
Winters sprained his Achilles during Sunday night's game against the Packers and will likely miss at least a week, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Winters suffered a strained Achilles in the second quarter of Sunday night's contest and did not return. The linebacker will likely miss the Cowboys' Week 7 game against the Eagles due to the injury and could be out longer.
Nearing return to action
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 6:29 PM
Overshown (hamstring) is on track to play in Week 7 against the Eagles, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Overshown has been unavailable since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1 versus the Giants, but director of player personnel Stephen Jones said Monday that the linebacker has a "great chance" to play in Week 7. Overshown compiled 28 total tackles (15 solo) over six regular-season games in 2025, and he'll have a chance to provide a big boost to a struggling Dallas defense.
Javonte Williams
Javonte Williams Scores again in Week 6 defeat
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:23 PM
Williams rushed 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for nine yards in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Williams got the Cowboys on the board with a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. That was his seventh rushing score and eighth total touchdown through six games this season. Dallas trailed by double digits the entire second half, which explains Williams' season-low carry total. His frequent trips to the end zone have made up for a lack of efficiency, as Williams is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry after notching a career-best 4.8 YPC in 2025. Williams mustered 3.6 YPC in 2023 and 3.7 YPC in 2024 with the Broncos, so his first year in Dallas is starting to look like an outlier in that regard, though he should remain an effective fantasy option as long as he's locked into a three-down role with the Cowboys. He's likely to get more rushing opportunities in Week 7, as the Cowboys are unlikely to fall into a deep hole against an injury-riddled Eagles team on a four-game losing streak.
Dak Prescott
Dak Prescott Late TD not enough in Week 6 loss
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:22 PM
Prescott completed 34 of 54 passes for 258 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Packers. He also rushed twice for seven yards.
Analysis: Prescott threw for just 86 yards with two interceptions in the first half, and the Cowboys took a 17-0 deficit into the locker room. He was only moderately more effective in the second half as Dallas looked out of sorts offensively for a second consecutive game in primetime. Prescott's lone touchdown pass was a six-yarder to Ryan Flournoy in the final minute of the fourth quarter. Dallas dropped to 2-4 with Sunday night's loss, and Dak has an ugly 4:4 TD:INT over his last four starts after posting a 6:1 mark through Week 2. Prescott will try to snap a two-game losing streak in Week 7 on MNF against the Eagles, who have dropped four straight.
George Pickens
George Pickens Team-high 73 rec yards in loss
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:21 PM
Pickens caught six of 11 targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Pickens caught his only first-half target for 16 yards. He was much busier in the second half and ended up edging out CeeDee Lamb by three receiving yards for the team lead, though Lamb led the Cowboys with nine catches on 18 targets. Pickens has picked up the pace following a slow start, notching at least 73 receiving yards in four consecutive games after posting just 68 yards in Weeks 1 and 2 combined. After scoring a career-high nine touchdowns in 2025, he's still stuck on one TD heading into a Week 7 road game against the slumping Eagles.
Ryan Flournoy
Ryan Flournoy Catches late TD in Week 6 loss
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:20 PM
Flournoy caught seven of nine targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's 23-13 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Flournoy has emerged as the clear third option in the passing game for Dallas, knocking an underperforming Jake Ferguson down the target totem pole. Flournoy's nine targets trailed CeeDee Lamb's 18 and George Pickens' 11 on a night Dak Prescott attempted 54 passes. Flournoy found the end zone late with a six-yard score, and he's now posted 23 catches for 234 yards and one score on 36 targets through six games. He's an elite bench stash in the event something happens to Lamb or Pickens.
Jake Ferguson
Jake Ferguson Two catches during SNF
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:15 PM
Ferguson caught two of three targets for 13 yards during Sunday night's 23-13 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Ferguson matched his season low with two catches, and he has now been held to 23 or fewer yards in five of six contests to open the season. The tight end hasn't found the end zone since Week 3, and through six games, he's caught 17 of 24 targets for 115 yards and three scores. Ferguson reeled in a career-high 82 passes over 17 regular-season contests in 2025, and he has some work to do to return to that form in 2026.
