Tyler Bilodeau (shoulder) remains out Saturday
Fri, Oct 23, 2026, 11:10 AM
NBA Injury Report
Tyler Bilodeau (shoulder) is out for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Bilodeau's continued absence will not affect fantasy basketball, as he is unlikely to receive consistent minutes in the rotation even when healthy.
Michael Porter Jr.
Michael Porter Jr. has 26 points, five threes in loss
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 4:54 PM
Michael Porter Jr. had 26 points (10-of-21 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, three steals and five three-pointers against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Analysis: Porter averaged 1.1 steals last year, which was his career-high. He was active on defense Wednesday, recording three steals in the process. Porter poured in points on the offensive end as well, finishing with 26 points and five three-pointers. In his first game playing with Julius Randle, Porter showed that he can coexist with another high-level teammate. The two combined for 59 points in the first game of what should be a productive partnership.
Julius Randle
Julius Randle has 33/8/7 line in Nets debut Wednesday
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 4:48 PM
Julius Randle had 33 points (11-of-18 FGs, 8-of-11 FTs), eight rebounds, seven assists, one block and three three-pointers in Wednesday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: If Randle's Nets debut was any indication, the 31-year-old forward might be in line for one of the best statistical seasons of his career. No one else on the Nets scored in double figures besides Randle and Porter Jr., but the two of them combined for 59 points with Randle providing 33 of those. He played 37 minutes and was two rebounds and three assists away from a triple-double. While Randle might not turn the Nets into a winning team, he could turn a lot of fantasy teams into winners if this production keeps up.

Nets start Dëmin, Ellis, MPJ, Randle, Sharpe
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 1:06 PM
Brooklyn Nets
Egor Dëmin, Keon Ellis, Michael Porter Jr., Julius Randle and Day'Ron Sharpe will start Wednesday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Dëmin will move into the starting point guard role after starting at the two for most of his rookie season. That means Ellis joins him in the backcourt, and he's worth rostering in deep leagues. The frontcourt isn't a surprise, with Randle and Sharpe joining Porter.

Tyler Bilodeau (shoulder) ruled out vs. Charlotte
Tue, Oct 20, 2026, 11:06 AM
NBA Injury Report
Tyler Bilodeau (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Analysis: The rookie won't be available for Brooklyn's season opener, so his NBA debut will have to wait at least one more game. He's on a two-way contract, so he likely won't see the floor much when he's healthy.

Mikel Brown Jr. to be on minutes limit for opener
Fri, Oct 16, 2026, 10:05 AM
Brian Lewis
The New York Post's Brian Lewis reports that Mikel Brown Jr. will be on a minutes restriction for the Nets' season opener against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Analysis: Brooklyn head coach Jodi Fernandez noted that Brown Jr.'s minutes will have to rise above 24 before he'll be in consideration to start, and it's yet unknown when that might happen. Fantasy managers who drafted Brown Jr. will need to be patient as he ramps back up from an ankle injury suffered in the offseason.
Michael Porter Jr.
Michael Porter Jr. puts up 27 points against Heat
Wed, Oct 14, 2026, 5:07 PM
Michael Porter Jr. played well against the Heat on Wednesday with 27 points (9-of-17 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and four 3-pointers on Wednesday.
Analysis: While this is a classic MPJ stat line, Porter will continue to be one of the main focal points of the offense in Brooklyn. Julius Randle hasn't supplanted Porter in the offensive hierarchy. If Porter continues to be healthy, he should be a very good contributor going forward.

Mikel Brown Jr. (ankle) will return to lineup
Wed, Oct 14, 2026, 1:14 PM
Brian Lewis
Mikel Brown Jr. will be active on Wednesday in the Nets exhibition against the Heat.
Analysis: The Brooklyn Nets are keeping the same starting lineup as last game with Mikel coming off the bench. This will provide him an opportunity to ramp up into regular season form.
Michael Porter Jr.
Michael Porter Jr. scores team-high 22 points
Mon, Oct 12, 2026, 3:45 PM
Michael Porter Jr. amassed 22 points (8-of-13 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in Monday's exhibition against the Wizards.
Analysis: Back in the lineup after sitting out Thursday's exhibition win over the 76ers with a minor wrist injury, Porter looked sharp in the nation's capital. His first season with the Nets went well individually, with MPJ providing solid middle-round value when available. If injuries aren't an issue, Porter should produce similarly this season, especially with Julius Randle joining him to share the scoring workload.

Mikel Brown Jr. expected to make debut Wednesday
Mon, Oct 12, 2026, 5:12 AM
Brian Lewis
Mikel Brown Jr. (wrist) is expected to make his preseason debut against the Heat on Wednesday.
Analysis: Brown practiced fully over the weekend and participated in 5-on-5 on Monday morning. However, he'll miss their preseason matchup with the Wizards on Monday night. He should be ready to go on opening night, as long as there aren't any setbacks following his preseason debut on Wednesday.
Moritz Wagner
Moritz Wagner racks up four steals vs. 76ers
Thu, Oct 8, 2026, 5:30 PM
Moritz Wagner finished Thursday's exhibition against the 76ers with six points (2-of-3 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, one assist and four steals.
Analysis: The Nets didn't have Day'Ron Sharpe for Thursday's exhibition, so Wagner moved into the starting lineup after coming off the bench on Tuesday. The veteran forward/center logged 18 minutes, though foul trouble limited his time on the floor. A healthy Sharpe makes Wagner a non-factor in most fantasy leagues, but he's likely to be worth streaming at times.
Julius Randle
Julius Randle scores 14 in Nets home debut
Thu, Oct 8, 2026, 5:28 PM
Julius Randle notched 14 points (4-of-11 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), six rebounds, two assists and two steals in Thursday's exhibition against the 76ers.
Analysis: After putting up 13 points in Tuesday's rout of the Hornets, Randle put on a decent showing for the home folks in his first home game as a Net. The move to Brooklyn put the veteran forward on a team unlikely to contend, but it's a good spot for him to get his numbers. The concern for scorers like Randle in situations like this is that efficiency could suffer. Hopefully, that won't be the case for him.
Michael Porter Jr.
MPJ, Sharpe among Nets out vs. Philadelphia
Thu, Oct 8, 2026, 6:32 AM
Brian Lewis
Michael Porter Jr. (wrist), Day'Ron Sharpe (shoulder), Mikel Brown Jr. (ankle) and Joshua Jefferson (back) will all be sidelined against the 76ers on Thursday.
Analysis: MPJ and Sharpe both played in the preseason opener on Tuesday, so it's unlikely these injuries are severe enough to impact their status for the start of the regular season. As for Brown and Jefferson, neither rookie played in the preseason opener, with their next chance to debut coming on Monday in Washington.
Julius Randle
Julius Randle has 13 points in Nets preseason debut
Tue, Oct 6, 2026, 3:51 PM
Julius Randle had 13 points (4-of-7 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Tuesday's exhibition against the Hornets.
Analysis: Entering his 13th year in the NBA, the Nets will be Randle's fifth team. Playing alongside Michael Porter Jr. for the first time, Randle helped lead the Nets to a 124-90 victory over the Hornets. He had 13 points, three assists and two threes in 18 minutes. Randle is coming off the board in the fifth round of fantasy drafts.

Tue, Oct 6, 2026, 3:40 PM
Michael Porter Jr. had 16 points (6-of-9 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Tuesday's exhibition against the Hornets.
Analysis: Playing alongside Julius Randle for the first time, Porter was excellent as he led the Nets with 16 points and four threes in 17 minutes in the 124-90 victory over the Hornets. Randle had 13 points, two threes and three assists in 18 minutes. Porter is coming off the board in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.

Mikel Brown Jr. (ankle) doing non-contact work
Wed, Sep 30, 2026, 8:46 AM
Erik Slater
Nets reporter Erik Slater reports that Mikel Brown Jr. is doing non-contact work at practice while recovering from an ankle injury.
Analysis: Brown Jr. sustained the injury within the last three weeks, and he's limited at the start of Nets' training camp. There are no indications that he'll miss any time to start the regular season, but fantasy managers should still keep an eye on his status moving forward.

Mikel Brown Jr. notched 14 points, four assists
Thu, Jul 16, 2026, 12:49 PM
Mikel Brown Jr. amassed 14 points (3-of-15 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Thursday's loss to the Rockets.
Analysis: If Thursday's game was the last for Brown in Las Vegas, he'll head home with a sour taste in his mouth. The rookie guard shot 2-of-10 from beyond the arc and was 1-of-5 from two, as he struggled at times with Houston's physical perimeter defense. However, given the time he missed during his lone college season due to a back injury, Brown's ability to play starters' minutes this summer is a positive. With Ben Saraf struggling in summer play and Nolan Traoré unavailable due to injury, Brown should go into training camp with a legitimate chance of earning significant playing time, if not the starting point guard role.

Mikel Brown Jr. records 16 points, five assists
Tue, Jul 14, 2026, 2:08 PM
Mikel Brown Jr. amassed 16 points (6-of-11 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in Tuesday's rout of the Kings.
Analysis: After scoring 20 points in his first Las Vegas appearance on Friday, Brown did not play against the Hawks on Saturday. Back in action on Tuesday, the rookie point guard put together a solid floor game in Brooklyn's 32-point victory. Given what the Nets saw from the point guards they selected in the first round of last year's draft, Nolan Traoré and Ben Saraf, Brown should have every opportunity to earn significant rotation minutes when training camp opens in the fall. He's looked up to the task thus far, and Brown's back has not been an issue after missing 14 games at Louisville last season.

Chaney Johnson scores 20 points vs. Atlanta
Sat, Jul 11, 2026, 4:22 PM
Chaney Johnson amassed 20 points (9-of-13 FGs), 10 rebounds, five steals and two three-pointers in Saturday's loss to the Hawks.
Analysis: Johnson, who's on a two-way deal, had some moments late last season as the Nets played out the string. For him, this summer is about doing what he can to earn a more secure opportunity, and nights like Saturday will help. Johnson was energetic throughout, providing excellent value as a scorer and defender. Brooklyn's addition of Julius Randle was a sign that the front office intends to compete next season, but that does not mean Johnson has no chance of earning another shot to prove himself.

Joshua Jefferson (ankle) could make debut Saturday
Fri, Jul 10, 2026, 3:02 PM
Brian Lewis
Nets summer league head coach Dutch Gaitley said Friday that he hopes Joshua Jefferson will make his debut on Saturday.
Analysis: Jefferson injured his ankle during the second round of the NCAA tournament and did not play in any of the Nets' games in Salt Lake City or Friday's win over the Knicks in Las Vegas. Despite not even participating in team practices, there is hope that the 6-foot-8 forward from Iowa State will make his summer debut on Saturday against the Hawks. Jefferson can do a little bit of everything at the forward position, which is why he worked his way into the first round of last month's draft.
