Jake Elliott
Jake Elliott Limited again Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 6:22 PM
Elliott (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Elliott was limited for a second consecutive practice. There should be more clarity on his status Friday for the Eagles' Week 9 meeting with the Giants. However, if Elliott is ruled out ahead of that one, the Eagles will presumably hit the open market for a replacement.
Tanner McKee
Tanner McKee Pops up on injury report
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 5:51 PM
McKee (rib) was limited in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: McKee recently lost the starting quarterback job to Joe Milton. As if things couldn't get any worse, the signal-caller appears to be in danger of missing the NFC East showdown with the Giants. If McKee can't suit up for that contest, 2026 fifth-round pick Cole Payton would presumably back up Milton against New York in Week 9.
Dontayvion Wicks
Dontayvion Wicks Officially DNP on Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 4:48 PM
Wicks (ankle) did not practice Thursday.
Analysis: Wicks appears headed for a third straight absence Sunday against the Giants. DeVonta Smith (hamstring) also continues to miss practice time. It could again be Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore at receiver for the Eagles in Week 9.
DeVonta Smith
DeVonta Smith Misses Thursday's practice
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 4:38 PM
Smith (hamstring) officially didn't practice Thursday.
Analysis: Smith has yet to mix into any drills since his last appearance in Week 6 against the Panthers, missing the last two contests due to a hamstring issue. With a Week 10 bye on the horizon, the Eagles may be focusing on getting him healthy for the final eight weeks of the campaign. In any case, Smith's status for Sunday's contest against the Giants may gain some clarity once the team posts its final Week 9 injury report Friday.
Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley Limited Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 4:33 PM
Barkley (hamstring/back) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
Analysis: Barkley followed up Wednesday's DNP with some activity one day later as he deals with lingering hamstring and back injuries. Friday's practice report will determine if he enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game against the Giants. While playing through those health concerns this past Sunday in Washington, Barkley logged a 32 percent snap share and racked up 14 touches for 54 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD.
Dontayvion Wicks
Dontayvion Wicks Not spotted again Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 1:33 PM
Wicks (ankle) wasn't present for Thursday's practice, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Wicks continues to sit out drills for a third straight week due to an ankle injury. If he goes down as a non-participant again Thursday, he'll have only one more opportunity to practice this week, or else he'll be at risk of missing a third consecutive contest Sunday against the Giants.
DeVonta Smith
DeVonta Smith Non-participant again Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 1:29 PM
Smith (hamstring) wasn't spotted at practice Thursday, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Smith hasn't practiced or played since he suited up for Philadelphia's Week 6 loss to the Panthers. He's trending toward a third consecutive absence Sunday against the Giants. With Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) also yet to resume practicing, Makai Lemon looks set to lead Philadelphia's receiving corps for a third consecutive game.
Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley Practicing Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 1:27 PM
Barkley (hamstring/back) is participating in Thursday's practice, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: After sitting out Wednesday's practice due to existing hamstring and back injuries, Barkley is returning to drills one day later, which is one day earlier than a week ago. He thus appears to be a bit healthier this time around, but his activity level will become known once the Eagles post their second Week 9 practice report Thursday.
Unable to practice Wednesday
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 8:51 PM
Campbell (hamstring/quadriceps) did not participate at the Eagles' practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Campbell was unable to play in the team's Week 8 loss to the Commanders while nursing hamstring and quadriceps injuries, and he appears to still be dealing with the injuries ahead of Week 9. The linebacker will have two more opportunities to return to practice prior to Sunday's matchup with the Giants.
Jake Elliott
Jake Elliott Dealing with ankle issue
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 8:44 PM
Elliott (ankle) was a limited participant at the Eagles' practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Elliott opened the week with a limited session as a result of an apparent ankle issue. The kicker went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made his only PAT during the team's 27-10 loss to Washington in Week 8, and he may have picked up the ankle injury during the contest. Elliott will have two more chances to log a full practice before Sunday's matchup with the Giants.
Dontayvion Wicks
Dontayvion Wicks DNP on Wednesday
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 5:29 PM
Wicks (ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Wicks hasn't practiced since preparation for a Week 6 matchup with the Panthers due to an ankle injury, missing the last two games in the process. He likely will need to mix into drills in some capacity Thursday and/or Friday to put himself in a position to return to action Sunday versus the Giants.
DeVonta Smith
DeVonta Smith No practice Wednesday
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 5:25 PM
Smith (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Smith's lack of activity to kick off Week 9 prep doesn't come as a surprise, as he wasn't present during the media-access portion of Wednesday's session. He hasn't practiced since his last appearance in a Week 6 loss to the Panthers, when he went for seven catches (on 14 targets) for 75 yards and one touchdown. If he's able to put himself in a position to play Sunday against the Giants, Smith will be on the receiving end of passes from QB Joe Milton, who is replacing Tanner McKee as the starter.
Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley Doesn't practice Wednesday
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 5:20 PM
Barkley (hamstring/back) officially didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Barkley's DNP to begin Week 9 prep was forecast by his lack of presence during the open portion of Wednesday's session. He continues to deal with the hamstring and back injuries that bothered him last week, but he still was able to play this past Sunday at Washington, log a 32 percent snap share and turn 14 touches into 54 yards from scrimmage and one TD. If he follows a similar practice regimen as last week, Barkley also will sit out Thursday before returning as a limited participant Friday.
Dontayvion Wicks
Dontayvion Wicks Not seen at practice
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 2:43 PM
Wicks (ankle) wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Wicks has missed the last two games with an ankle injury and is trending towards being a DNP to start Week 9. If he's unable to ramp up his activity in the coming days, another missed game would be very much on the table. The Eagles are readying Joe Milton at quarterback and he could be without both Wicks and DeVonta Smith (hamstring), who was also absent from Wednesday's viewing period.
DeVonta Smith
DeVonta Smith Not present Wednesday
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 2:35 PM
Smith (hamstring) wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Smith has missed four of the last five contests due to a lingering hamstring injury, and until he's able to mix into drills again, he may not be a candidate to be active on game days. The Eagles have a Week 10 bye after Sunday's matchup with the Giants, so the team could be focusing on getting him healthy for Week 11 and beyond. In any case, fellow WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) also wasn't seen Wednesday, leaving Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore as the healthy options at the position on the active roster.
Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley Not spotted at practice
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 2:28 PM
Barkley wasn't present for the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Barkley may still be tending to the hamstring and back issues that he impacted his practice reps last week, but Wednesday's injury report will reveal if he indeed was a non-participant and also the reason for his absence. Jaydon Blue is the only healthy RB on the Eagles' active roster, though practice-squad member Elijah Mitchell tallied 11 carries for 34 yards and four catches (on six targets) for three yards while splitting the backfield with Barkley this past Sunday at Washington.
Tanner McKee
Tanner McKee Benched for Joe Milton in Week 9
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 1:24 PM
McKee will shift to a backup role for Sunday's game against the Giants with the Eagles set to move forward with Joe Milton as their starting quarterback in Week 9, Adam Schefter of ESPN and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report.
Analysis: Just two days after announcing that McKee would draw a fourth straight start this weekend, head coach Nick Sirianni appears to have changed his tune. The Eagles' decision to move forward with Milton comes after McKee went 0-3 as a starter while completing 63.2 percent of his passes for 5.6 yards per attempt and a 2:2 TD:INT since replacing Jalen Hurts (calf) atop the depth chart. Since McKee is set to become a free agent next spring and may not be part of the Eagles' long-term plans, he could end up serving as the No. 3 quarterback if the team wants to give rookie fifth-round pick Cole Payton the opportunity to suit up on game days.
Joe Milton
Joe Milton Set to start Sunday
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 1:16 PM
Milton is set to be the Eagles' starting quarterback Sunday against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Philadelphia signed Milton off of the Cowboy's practice squad Oct. 16, and less than a month later, he's getting the call after the Tanner McKee experience so far has resulted in three consecutive losses. In five appearances (no starts) between New England and Dallas in his career, Milton has competed 37 of 53 passes for 424 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing 15 times for 66 yards and one TD and losing both of his fumbles.
Elijah Moore
Elijah Moore Catchless in Week 8
Tue, Nov 3, 2026, 8:43 PM
Moore did not garner a target during Sunday night's 27-10 loss to the Commanders.
Analysis: Moore was held without a catch for the first time since Week 5, failing to take advantage of DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) being unavailable. Moore figures to remain an afterthought on offense in Week 9 against the Giants.
Hollywood Brown
Hollywood Brown Logs two catches in Week 8 loss
Tue, Nov 3, 2026, 8:36 PM
Brown finished Sunday's loss to the Commanders with two catches for 17 yards on two targets.
Analysis: With both DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) missing the contest, Brown ranked third among Eagles wideouts with 32 offensive snaps. He didn't do much with the opportunity, as the veteran wideout notched just two receptions for the second straight week. If Smith and/or Wicks return in Week 9 against the Giants, Brown may see his role diminish.
