David Njoku
David Njoku Limited Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 6:25 PM
Njoku (fibula) was limited in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Njoku had his 21-day practice window opener Wednesday, and he's logged back-to-back limited practice sessions to begin Week 9 work. He's been on the shelf since going down with the lower leg injury in Week 2.
Full practice Thursday
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 5:47 PM
Henley (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Henley was dinged up in Sunday's loss to the Rams but was able to return to the contest, and it appears he'll all set for the Week 9 tilt against the Texans. Henley has posted 41 tackles (17 solo), including 0.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and one pass breakup across seven starts this season.
Limited in practice
Thu, Nov 5, 2026, 7:54 AM
Henley (shoulder) was a limited participant in the Chargers' practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Henley is still battling the shoulder injury that briefly sidelined him during the Week 8 loss to the Rams. Marlowe Wax and Troy Dye would likely see increased playing time if Henley ends up being unable to play in Sunday's matchup against the Texans.
Gets green light to practice again
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 6:59 PM
The Chargers designated Perryman (undisclosed) for return to practice from their injured reserve list Wednesday, Noah Furtado of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Perryman has spent the entire regular season up to this point on IR with an undisclosed injury, but it now looks like he's nearing a return to game action. His activity at practice during the week will be worth keeping an eye on ahead of Sunday's game versus the Texans.
David Njoku
David Njoku Cleared to resume practicing
Wed, Nov 4, 2026, 2:30 PM
Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said Wednesday that Njoku (fibula) has been designated for return from injured reserve, Alex Insdorf of BoltBeat.com reports.
Analysis: The transaction opens up a 21-day window wherein Njoku can be evaluated for a return to the 53-man roster. The veteran tight end has been out of action since sustaining the fibula injury Week 2, but if he's able to turn in a full practice at some point over the next three days, he could have a chance at being activated from IR ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans. Once he's back in the fold, Njoku could push Charlie Kolar and Oronde Gadsden for snaps at tight end.
KeAndre Lambert-Smith
KeAndre Lambert-Smith Two offensive snaps versus Rams
Tue, Nov 3, 2026, 9:16 PM
Lambert-Smith did not garner a target during Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Lambert-Smith was expected to revert back to a minimal role on offense in Week 8 due to both Ladd McConkey and Tre' Harris returning to action, and that is exactly what happened. Lambert-Smith played just two offensive snaps in the contest, and he will continue to have little to no fantasy value as long as the rest of the Chargers' primary pass catchers are healthy.
Charlie Kolar
Charlie Kolar One catch against Rams
Mon, Nov 2, 2026, 9:18 PM
Kolar caught one of four targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: The tight end's four targets tied for third on the team, as he ran 17 routes on Justin Herbert's 37 dropbacks against Los Angeles. More of a blocker than receiver, Kolar has been forced to catch more passes out of necessity at times this season. He has 10 grabs for 98 yards on 17 targets. The catches and targets are both career highs in his fifth season.
Tre' Harris
Tre' Harris Three grabs in Week 8 loss
Mon, Nov 2, 2026, 9:14 PM
Harris caught all three of his targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: After missing Week 6 with a hamstring injury, Harris was healthy coming out of the Week 7 bye but played pretty clearly behind both Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston against the Rams. Harris ran just 20 routes to McConkey's 34 and Johnston's 30. Harris would see a big boost if Johnston gets traded ahead of next week's deadline.
Keaton Mitchell
Keaton Mitchell Totals 23 yards in loss to Rams
Mon, Nov 2, 2026, 8:39 PM
Mitchell rushed four times for six yards and caught all three of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Handpicked by first-year OC Mike McDaniel as a free-agent signing in the offseason, Mitchell has been a total non-factor for much of the first half of the season. With a career 5.7 yards per carry average, Mitchell is averaging just 3.7 yards per rush this season. Involved in a three-way backfield committee, Mitchell is waiver-wire fodder in normal-sized 12-team fantasy leagues.
Brenen Thompson
Brenen Thompson Not expected to practice this week
Mon, Nov 2, 2026, 8:10 PM
Thompson (quadriceps/hamstring) is not expected to practice this week, Noah Furtado of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Thompson recently suffered a setback with his pair of soft-tissue injuries. Another one of OC Mike McDaniel's swings and misses this offseason, Thompson hasn't played since Week 2 and has just one catch for 13 yards on 22 offensive snaps. The fourth-round rookie has been a non-factor.
Cameron Dicker
Cameron Dicker Responsible for all Chargers' points Sunday
Mon, Nov 2, 2026, 8:03 PM
Dicker made all three of his field-goal attempts during Sunday's 24-9 loss against the Rams. He did not kick any extra-point tries.
Analysis: The Chargers' offense put forth another poor effort in Week 8, with four of their 11 drives ending in punts and another three ending with turnovers. Dicker has mostly been efficient through his first seven games of the season, making 12 of his 14 field-goal attempts, but until the Chargers' offense demonstrates it can consistently move the ball down the field, he'll be hard to trust as a fantasy option.
Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal Leads team in rushing in loss
Mon, Nov 2, 2026, 7:50 PM
Vidal rushed eight times for 23 yards and caught both of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: The Chargers continue to use a fantasy-unfriendly three-man backfield, giving all three of Vidal, Omarion Hampton and Keaton Mitchell meaningful touches and snaps. In a broken Los Angeles offense and crowded backfield, Vidal has minimal fantasy appeal outside of deeper formats.
David Njoku
David Njoku Approaching return to practice
Mon, Nov 2, 2026, 5:38 PM
Coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday that the Chargers likely will open the 21-day window for Njoku (fibula) this week, Alex Insdorf of BoltBeat.com reports.
Analysis: Njoku landed on IR after sustaining a fibula injury in Week 2, but the tight end's looming return to practice should provide a nice boost to a Chargers' TE corps that also includes Oronde Gadsden and Charlie Kolar. In his only full game with the team (Week 1 versus the Cardinals), Njoku recorded a 55 percent snap share en route to catching all five of his targets for 58 yards. If he can approach that level of production once he's back in the lineup, Njoku could resurface as a fantasy option as the season rolls along.
Quentin Johnston
Quentin Johnston Four grabs in loss to Rams
Sun, Nov 1, 2026, 11:19 PM
Johnston caught all four of his targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Johnston's four grabs marked a new personal single-game high through six games this season. One of the least efficient wideouts in the league, Johnston entered Sunday with just eight grabs for 165 yards on 22 targets. He hasn't been playable in fantasy football for weeks and will square off with a stingy Houston secondary in Week 9.
Oronde Gadsden
Oronde Gadsden Five snags in defeat
Sun, Nov 1, 2026, 11:13 PM
Gadsden caught all five of his targets for 52 yards during Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Gadsden was able to lead the team in catches while he finished with one fewer target than team leader Ladd McConkey. The tight end has now reeled in at least three passes for the second straight game and third time over the last four contests after having failed to do so in any of the team's first three regular-season games. Gadsden and the rest of the Chargers will face a tough test in Week 9 against the Texans.
Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton Nets just 27 scrimmage yards in loss
Sun, Nov 1, 2026, 9:30 PM
Hampton rushed nine times for 20 yards and brought in two of three targets for seven yards in the Chargers' 24-9 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: Hampton logged just one more carry than Kimani Vidal and five more than Keaton Mitchell, as the Chargers' ground game continued to resemble a committee scenario. Hampton now has 45 rushing yards or fewer in four straight games, and he's logged single-digit carries in three of those contests. The second-year back is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry behind an injury-hampered offensive line as well, leaving his outlook bleak for a Week 9 home matchup against an aggressive Texans defense next Sunday.
Ladd McConkey
Ladd McConkey Team-high yardage total in loss
Sun, Nov 1, 2026, 9:26 PM
McConkey brought in four of six targets for 86 yards in the Chargers' 24-9 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: McConkey finally shook off the concussion that led to his exit from a Week 6 loss to the Chiefs during Week 8 prep, and despite the fact Tre' Harris was also back from a hamstring injury, the former still led the Chargers in receiving yards and targets. The yardage tally was also a season high for McConkey, who is averaging a career-best 16.8 yards per reception on his 17 catches to date. Los Angeles' air attack showed some improvement Sunday following some retooling during the Week 7 bye, and McConkey figures to remain the top target on the winless Bolts in a Week 9 home matchup against the Texans next Sunday.
Justin Herbert
Justin Herbert Struggles continue coming out of bye
Sun, Nov 1, 2026, 8:14 PM
Herbert completed 24 of 32 passes for 257 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing four times for 15 yards in the Chargers' 24-9 loss to the Rams on Sunday. He also committed a fumble that remained with the Chargers.
Analysis: The Chargers declined to move on from offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel during the Week 7 bye, and Herbert did finish with a season-high passing yardage total on a season-best 75.0 percent completion rate. However, Herbert failed to throw a touchdown pass for the second straight game while tossing multiple interceptions for the third time this season. Herbert still has just a 61.8 percent completion rate -- a career low by a fairly wide margin -- and a 5:10 TD:INT through seven games as the winless Bolts try again for their first victory in a Week 9 home matchup against the Texans next Sunday.
Back in action
Sun, Nov 1, 2026, 4:34 PM
Henley (shoulder) has returned to Sunday's matchup versus the Rams, David Droegemeier of Locked On Chargers reports.
Analysis: Henley was briefly sidelined with a shoulder injury early in the first half, but he was able to return to the field before the break. The 26-year-old is back in his starting role at inside linebacker against the Rams.
Dealing with shoulder issue
Sun, Nov 1, 2026, 4:09 PM
Henley (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Rams, Noah Furtado of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Henley suffered a shoulder injury early in the second half, and his availability for the rest of the game is now up in the air. In his absence, Troy Dye and Marlowe Wax will stand to see an increase in workload at inside linebacker.
