Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs Practicing Thursday
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 12:15 PM
Jacobs took part in practice Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Jacobs was removed from the commissioner's exempt list Monday, and while the Packers held a walkthrough Wednesday, it wasn't open to the media, so his activity Thursday marks his first visible on-field work since training camp. It remains unclear if Green Bay will clear him to play Sunday at Detroit, but the team has a roster exemption at its disposal that lasts until Monday, Oct. 26, which allows it flexibility if Jacobs isn't deemed ready to make his season debut this weekend.
Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden Coach not worried about shoulder
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 11:33 AM
Head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that the Packers have no concern regarding Golden's (shoulder) availability for Sunday's game against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Golden and Christian Watson (ankle) were both listed as limited participants at Wednesday's practice, but Green Bay's coach is confident that both starting wideouts will be available Sunday. Watson (538) and Golden (501) have combined for the most yards by any pair of teammates at wide receiver in the league this season.
Christian Watson
Christian Watson Coach confident he'll play Sunday
Thu, Oct 22, 2026, 11:26 AM
Head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that the team has no concern regarding Watson's (ankle) availability for Sunday's game against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: LaFleur said the same thing about Matthew Golden (shoulder) after Green Bay's top two wide receivers were both limited participants at Wednesday's practice. Watson may continue to have his practice reps monitored, but he isn't in any danger of sitting out Sunday's matchup against Detroit's struggling secondary.
Limited in Wednesday's walkthrough
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 7:10 PM
Cisse (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough session, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Cisse suffered a stinger during the Packers' Week 6 win over the Cowboys, but he expressed optimism Tuesday that he'll be available for this Sunday's road tilt against the Lions, per Weston Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site. Cisse has now been tagged with a shoulder injury, and he'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation to avoid an injury designation ahead of Week 7.
Bo Melton
Bo Melton Nursing back injury
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 7:06 PM
Melton (back) was a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Melton may have tweaked his back during the Packers' Week 6 win against the Cowboys, when he played 34 snaps (18 on offense, 16 on special teams) and drew a 37-yard pass interference penalty late in the second quarter before adding a tackle on kickoff coverage. He'll have two more practices to increase his participation to avoid an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions.
Savion Williams
Savion Williams Estimated as limited Wednesday
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 4:54 PM
Williams (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Also estimated as limited participants Wednesday were Christian Watson (ankle) and Matthew Golden (shoulder), while Bo Melton was a deemed a non-participant. Thursday's on-field session should provide a better idea of the health of Green Bay's wideout corps ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions. In his regular-season debut in a Week 6 win over the Cowboys, Williams logged a 53 percent snap share while working behind Watson and Golden en route to catching all four of his targets for 32 yards and rushing twice for nine yards.
Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden Dealing with shoulder issue
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 3:20 PM
Golden (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Golden's inclusion coincides with QB Jordan Love (back) and WR Christian Watson (ankle), among others, also being listed as limited to kick off Week 7 prep. The situation thus bears monitoring as the week continues to see if any of the trio is in danger of missing Sunday's contest at Detroit.
Christian Watson
Christian Watson Tending to ankle issue
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 3:17 PM
Watson was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate due to an ankle injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Not only was Watson listed as limited, but so were QB Jordan Love (back) and WR Matthew Golden (back), among others. The situation thus leaves the Packers offense in a bit of flux as the team begins Week 7 prep, but two practices remain before Green Bay potentially tags players with designations for Sunday's game in Detroit.
Jordan Love
Jordan Love Dealing with back injury
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 3:13 PM
Love was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate due to a back injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Packers' decision to include Love on their first Week 7 injury report may be precautionary, but his situation now bears watching as the week continues to see if he's in any danger of missing Sunday's game at Detroit. The team also listed WRs Christian Watson (ankle) and Matthew Golden (shoulder) as limited, so three top skill-position players are dealing with health concerns at the moment.
Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs Status up in air for Week 7
Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 12:40 PM
Jacobs remains uncertain to play Sunday at Detroit, with head coach Matt LaFleur saying, "We'll see. We'll work through it," Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Despite Jacobs being removed from the commissioner's exempt list Monday, the Packers have a one-game roster exemption for the running back that expires Monday, Oct. 26. As such, Jacobs currently doesn't count against Green Bay's active roster, and the team won't have to officially include him among its Week 7 inactives if the exemption still stands as of Sunday. In the event Jacobs doesn't play this weekend, MarShawn Lloyd, Pierre Strong and Kaleb Johnson will be the options out of the Packers backfield.
Snags interception in win
Tue, Oct 20, 2026, 8:21 PM
Williams recorded six total tackles (five solo) and an interception during Sunday night's 23-13 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Williams has yet to miss a defensive snap this season, and his biggest moment in Week 6 came in the second quarter when he jumped in front of a pass from Dak Prescott for his second interception of the year. The safety has now compiled 52 total tackles (32 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding five passes defensed, two of which are interceptions, and a fumble recovery over six games so far during the 2026 campaign.
Moves past stinger
Tue, Oct 20, 2026, 2:05 PM
Cisse, who suffered a stinger during Sunday night's win over the Cowboys, indicated Tuesday that he's fine as this weekend's contest against the Lions approaches, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Analysis: Prior to his exit from the contest, Cisse played 54 of a possible 78 snaps on defense, en route to recording four tackles and a pick. Assuming no setbacks, the 2026 second-rounder is in line to occupy a starting cornerback slot this weekend opposite Keisean Nixon.
Trey Smack
Trey Smack Bounces back vs Dallas
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 9:27 PM
Smack made all three of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tires during Green Bay's win over the Cowboys on Sunday.
Analysis: Smack had a solid bounce-back performance after missing two field goals and an extra point during the Week 5 win over the Bears. The 23-year-old has now made 10 of his 13 field-goal attempts and 11 of his 13 extra-point tries across the first six games of his rookie campaign.
Savion Williams
Savion Williams Six touches in regular-season debut
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 8:04 PM
Williams caught all four of his targets for 32 yards and he rushed twice for nine yards during Sunday night's 23-13 win over Dallas.
Analysis: Williams made his regular-season debut after missing the team's first five contests while on injured reserve with an ankle injury. The wide receiver finished fifth on the team in targets, but he ranked third at his position behind Matthew Golden (13) and Christian Watson (eight). With Jayden Reed (neck) done for the season and Skyy Moore (ankle) on injured reserve, Williams will have a chance to carve out a solid role for himself as the team's No. 3 WR moving forward in 2026.
Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs Comes off exempt list
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 4:32 PM
Jacobs (personal) has officially been removed from the Commissioner's Exempt List, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: As expected, Jacobs is off the list and eligible to practice. Head coach Matt LaFleur told Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site Monday that Jacobs is expected to take on a full week of drills, but the team hasn't determined if the running back will make his season debut this coming Sunday at Detroit. It should be noted that Green Bay has been granted a one-game exemption for Jacobs that expires next Monday, Oct. 26, per the NFL's transaction log, meaning he currently doesn't count against the active roster. If Jacobs doesn't play in Week 7, MarShawn Lloyd, Pierre Strong and Kaleb Johnson will continue to handle the Packers backfield.
Not in line for Week 7 return
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 4:14 PM
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Parsons (knee) won't practice in Week 7, Weston Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports. "He has to clear some hurdles yet before we get to that point," LaFleur said.
Analysis: With Green Bay not yet ready to open Parsons' 21-day practice window this week, the star edge rusher can safely be ruled out from making his 2026 debut Sunday in Detroit. LaFleur isn't dismissing the possibility of Parsons playing Week 8 versus the Panthers, though because that game will be a Thursday night matchup, the five-time Pro Bowler may face an uphill battle to gain clearance. At this point, the Packers' Week 9 matchup with the Patriots on Nov. 8 looks to be a more realistic target for Parsons to make his return to action, after his 2025 season came to an end when he tore his ACL on Dec. 14.
Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs Practicing, but Week 7 status TBD
Mon, Oct 19, 2026, 3:58 PM
Head coach Matt LaFleur said that Jacobs (personal) will get in a full week of practice, but the Packers have yet to determine whether he'll be able to make his season debut Sunday in Detroit, Weston Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports. "We feel he's in a pretty good spot," LaFleur said. "He's been training but he's missed the exposure to football."
Analysis: Jacobs will practice with the Packers for the first time since the preseason Wednesday, after he was scheduled to be removed from the commissioner's exempt list Monday. Though he was able to work out at the Packers' team facility over the past two months while his playing status was in limbo due to the ongoing legal saga related to his May arrest in a domestic incident, Jacobs may need more than a full week of practice for the team to feel comfortable having him play in games. Whenever Jacobs is deemed ready to suit up, his addition will provide a boost to a Green Bay running game that ranks last in the NFL by a wide margin with an average of 59.8 yards per contest through six weeks.
MarShawn Lloyd
MarShawn Lloyd Eight carries in victory
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:20 PM
Lloyd rushed eight times for 10 yards while failing to catch his only target during Sunday night's 23-13 win over Dallas.
Analysis: Lloyd was rather inefficient in Week 6, average 1.3 yards per carry while logging three fewer carries than fellow running back Pierre Strong (11). Lloyd was briefly sidelined by an undisclosed injury during the contest, but his ability to finish the game would suggest that whatever he was dealing with is minor. With Josh Jacobs (personal) expected to be removed from the Commissioner's Exempt List on Monday, Lloyd will likely transition into a complimentary role behind Jacobs in the backfield moving forward.
Christian Watson
Christian Watson Plays second fiddle to Golden in win
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:17 PM
Watson caught three of eight targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Watson was held without a touchdown for only the second time this season while tying tight end Tucker Kraft for second on the team in targets, five behind Matthew Golden. The wide receiver duo of Golden and Watson has accounted for the majority of Green Bay's offensive production this season. Watson needs just 82 receiving yards to match his career high of 620, which the oft-injured wideout set during the 2024 regular season. He'll have a nice opportunity to reach that mark in Week 7 against a Lions defense that has struggled in coverage.
Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden Tops 100 yards with TD
Sun, Oct 18, 2026, 11:16 PM
Golden caught six of 13 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Golden reached 100 receiving yards for the second consecutive game and third time overall this season. He capped the opening drive with a nine-yard touchdown catch, which gives the 2025 first-round pick three receiving touchdowns in his last four games after Golden began his career with a 16-game regular-season touchdown drought. Golden would have had an even bigger game if not for a pair of near-misses in the second quarter on a deep ball and an end-zone pass that were both in his hands before falling incomplete. Heading into a Week 7 matchup with Detroit's weak secondary, Golden has drawn a team-high 57 targets from Jordan Love, which is nine more than Christian Watson.
