Analysis: TeSlaa did not record a catch during the Lions' Week 1 overtime win over the Saints, but the second-year pro hauled in his first pass from Jared Goff on the season with a six-yard reception early in the third quarter before the duo connected on a 20-yard pass in the fourth. TeSlaa played 49 of the Lions' 65 offensive snaps in Thursday's loss, but he's clearly below Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, tight end Sam LaPorta and running back Jahmyr Gibbs in Detroit's pecking order. Analysis: Goff's final line undoubtedly pleased fantasy managers, but in a real-world football sense, they were largely the byproduct of a high-scoring loss in which the Lions trailed throughout. Goff had a mostly unremarkable first half, throwing just one of his touchdown passes in that span when he connected with Jahmyr Gibbs from 11 yards out. Goff would go on to add two and 27-yard strikes to Amon-Ra St. Brown and a one-yard scoring toss to Sam LaPorta after halftime, pushing the veteran signal-caller to a sparkling 6:0 TD:INT over the first two games of the season. Goff will next take aim at the Jets secondary in a Week 3 home matchup on Sunday, Sept. 27. |

Analysis: The Lions played from behind all night, which had a role in St. Brown seeing massive volume on his way to game-high figures in receptions, receiving yards and targets. The star wideout recorded both his scoring grabs in the second half, capping off Detroit's opening drive of the third quarter with a two-yard touchdown and then providing the final points for either side when he hauled in a 27-yard strike from Jared Goff with 1:42 remaining. St. Brown has opened the season in signature fashion with consecutive two-TD tallies, and he'll next take aim at the Jets defense on the fast track of Ford Field on Sunday, Sept. 27. |

Gibbs rushed 16 times for 52 yards and brought in six of eight targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 41-31 loss to the Bills on Thursday.
Analysis: Gibbs managed a 16-yard run among his 16 carries, yet he generally found running room at a premium over the course of the high-scoring loss. Game script also limited the star running back's opportunities on the ground somewhat, but Gibbs did make up for it to an extent with his work as a receiver. The fourth-year pro tied for second in receptions and was also the runner-up in receiving yards for the Lions on the night, and he added his first receiving touchdown of the season when he brought in an 11-yard laser from Jared Goff with just over five minutes remaining in the first half. Gibbs should have a chance at reverting to a larger workload on the ground in a Week 3 home matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Sept. 27. |
