Analysis: Between the California Classic and Las Vegas, Sharp has delivered some quality performances for the Kings. Despite the 32-point defeat, the second-round pick's performance was a bright spot, as he shot 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. While Alex Karaban (four points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal) has largely struggled since returning from a sprained ankle, Sharp has looked comfortable on both ends of the floor. Given his experience and shooting ability, it would be unsurprising if Sharp cracked the Kings' rotation as a rookie. |

Analysis: Acuff had a good afternoon in Las Vegas, but he did not have much help in a game the Kings lost by 32 points. The seventh overall pick in last month's draft, Acuff shot the ball well against the Nets but finished with as many turnovers as assists (five). Given who he has shared the court with in Las Vegas, Acuff is likely to benefit from the Kings' veterans being on the floor when the regular season kicks off. Efficiency can be an issue for rookie point guards, but the opportunity makes Acuff one of the top fantasy rookies in this class. |

Stefan Bondy of the New York Post reports Russell Westbrook is a candidate to join the Heat if LeBron James does not sign with Miami.
Analysis: Westbrook, 37, is an obvious fit for the Heat in the wake of the trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo. He still has something left in the tank and would come cheap, which is a necessity for Miami at this point. Of course, Westbrook is out of the picture if LeBron decides to join Giannis in Miami. James is yet to make a decision in free agency and is reportedly also considering Cleveland, Golden State and Philadelphia. |

Analysis: Sharp was productive during the California Classic, and he brought that with him to Las Vegas. He led the Kings in scoring, with most of that coming at the free throw line. He's showcased a knack for swiping steals and knocking down triples. Both of those will play well in fantasy hoops. Among second-round picks, Sharp has been one of the most enticing in this class and could end up carving out a role early on. |

Analysis: Karaban didn't play in the California Classic because of an ankle injury, so this was his first summer league game. It's safe to say that it was a disappointing start to his Kings tenure. He missed all six of his shot attempts, including all four of his three-pointers. He's an experienced player that should be much better than he was in this game, especially since he likely wasn't 100 percent healthy. |

Analysis: Acuff once again carried the offensive load for Sacramento, though he was once again inefficient as a scorer. He did more as a playmaker, matching his assist total from his two previous games in this one alone. He also contributed some defensive stats and had some solid moments on that end of the floor. However, Acuff has shot below 40 percent from the floor in all three of his summer league appearances. He's an immensely talented offensive player, but his fantasy impact will be limited by his field goal percentage, especially early in his career. |

Given the timeline, there's hope that Karaban will be able to play at some point this summer, but that is not guaranteed. |

Given where the Kings are, next season will be a rebuilding one for the franchise. While that bodes well for Acuff's playing time, fantasy managers should be prepared to take a hit in the efficiency stats. |

Analysis: The Kings' first-round pick last month certainly wasn't afraid to let it fly in his debut for the team. Acuff showcased plenty of offensive ability during his freshman season at Arkansas, and while he didn't get many assists in this game, he did have one to Nique Clifford with just five seconds left to win the game. Acuff is a talented offensive player, and if he continues to have this type of mentality, he'll put up gaudy numbers as a rookie, even if they come inefficiently. |

Analysis: Plowden had previously been on two-way contracts with the Warriors, Hawks and Kings. He finally got a chance to play with the Kings last year, appearing in 32 games and averaging 26.4 minutes. Plowden scored 10.8 points per game and had 3.0 rebounds per game. The Kings rewarded the 27-year-old for having the best season of his career, though he still isn't on the fantasy radar. |

Analysis: The writing has been on the wall for quite some time that the Kings want to kick-start their rebuild by moving on from a few veteran players. With Zach LaVine opting into the final year of a deal that will pay him over $49 million, it will be easier financially for Sacramento to move on from DeRozan, either via trade or the waive-and-stretch provision. According to Iko's report, DeRozan expects the latter to happen. Only $10 million of his 2026-27 contract is guaranteed, so spreading that money over three years would not significantly damage the Kings' finances. DeRozan turns 37 next month, but in the right situation he can still provide solid middle-round value in standard fantasy leagues. |

Analysis: After coming off the bench as a redshirt freshman, Sharp started all but five of the 111 games he played in the final three seasons of his Houston career. Last season, he averaged 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.6 three-pointers, shooting 37.2 percent from three and 89.1 percent from the foul line. Sharp's overall field-goal percentage was just 41.3, but his ability to knock down perimeter shots and compete defensively is where he shines. Between Sharp, Darius Acuff Jr. and Alex Karaban, the Kings have gone with players from successful college programs in this draft to help with their rebuild. What happens to Sharp's opportunities depends in part on what happens with Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. If the Kings can move off of one or both of those contracts, more opportunities will be available. |

Analysis: Karaban left college as one of the most accomplished players in the sport's recent history, having won a school-record 126 games and two national titles while at UConn. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward helped lead the Huskies to their third national title game appearance in four years last season, averaging 13.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.9 three-pointers per game. While not a jump-off-the-screen athlete, Karaban's shooting ability and basketball IQ should serve him well in the NBA. Sacramento sent pick 34 and a future second-round pick to move up to 29 to add Karaban to the rotation. He may not provide much value for fantasy managers, but he should be a solid piece for the Kings. |

Analysis: Acuff's lone season at Arkansas was an outstanding one, especially once postseason play began. The SEC Player of the Year, Acuff led the Razorbacks to an SEC tournament title and a trip to the Sweet 16. A consensus first-team All-American, he averaged 23.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.5 three-pointers per game, shooting 48.4 percent from the field, 44.0 percent from three and 80.9 percent from the foul line. Acuff is an uber-talented offensive player that should have the keys to the team from day one. There is plenty of potential for him to post some gaudy counting stats as a rookie, though he may face some of the efficiency issues that many rookie guards deal with. |

Analysis: The scuttlebutt surrounding the Kings heading into the February trade deadline was that the team would look to move some of its veterans to kickstart a reset of the roster. No one was moved, and Sabonis underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn left meniscus during the All-Star break. The veteran center once again being the subject of trade rumors is unsurprising, especially considering the Kings' struggles and current salary cap situation. The Kings hold the seventh overall pick in this month's draft, and Sabonis' future could affect that, as well as Maxime Raynaud. Raynaud earned second-team All-Rookie honors and started 56 of the 74 games he played. |
