|The NFBC - Postseason Holdem will begin with the Round 1 Division Series games (after Wild Card games) starting on Tuesday, October 11th and continue through the completion of the World Series. Points will be accumulated throughout the playoffs and the team with the most total points will win the grand prize. Second through 20th place prizes will also be paid based on total points. At the end of each round the number of points that an MLB player earns for a team will be multiplied by the number of consecutive rounds he has been on a roster, rewarding owners who correctly predict the top players on this year’s World Series teams. This multiplier scoring system will give MLB players the potential to double their scoring totals in League Championship Series, then triple their points in the World Series.
The 2023 NFBC - Postseason Holdem Contest will be considered 'prize eligible' and prizes will be paid out in full once two full rounds of playoffs have been completed. If less than that, all entry fees will be refunded and no prizes will be awarded. If the playoffs are shut down and not completed after all Round 2 games are played, we'll pay the highest points team at that time.
The First Round deadline for locking in your starting lineup is prior to the first ALDS/NLDS game on Tuesday October 11th. Rosters will lock in Rounds 2 and 3 once the first game of those rounds begin.

|Owners can create a roster with a maximum of 16 players for all rounds. The following are the roster requirements for each round:
Round 1: Division Series
Maximum of THREE players from each remaining team
Minimum of ONE player from each team
Round 2: League Championship Series
Maximum of SIX players from each remaining team
Minimum of TWO players from each team
Round 3: World Series
Maximum of TEN players from one team
Minimum of SIX players from each team
|Using the point-style scoring method, points are accumulated by all players in your starting lineup based on the following statistics.|
|At the end of each round the number of points that an MLB player earns for a team will be multiplied by the number of consecutive rounds he has been on the roster, rewarding owners who correctly predict the top players on this year’s World Series teams. This multiplier scoring system will give MLB players the potential to:
*Normal (1x) point scoring in Round 1 (Division Series)
*Double (2x) their scoring totals in Round 2 (League Championship Series)
*Triple (3x) their scoring totals in Round 3 (World Series)
Owners are allowed to make replacements in Rounds 2 and 3 for players who have been eliminated from the playoffs, but each time players are added, they start out with just their scoring totals for that Round (no multiplier). However, players who are added to a roster in Round 2 and advance to the World Series will have their scoring totals normal (1x) in LCS and then doubled (2x)in the World Series.
For example, if an owner chose Trea Turner for his roster at the start of the 2022 postseason and kept him for all three rounds, then Turner’s point total would have been doubled (2x) in Round 2, tripled (3x) in Round 3 if the Dodgers made it all the way to the World Series.
NOTE ON MULTIPLIERS: These are for CONSECUTIVE rounds of being on your roster. If you use a player in Round 1, but then replace him for Round 2 for some reason, if you picked him back up for Round 3 (World Series), you only get 1x then. You would NOT get 3x in that situation.
