The Mets optioned Zuber to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: He was acquired via trade from the Rays on Tuesday but will be heading to the minors to make room on the 26-man active roster for another reliever who was acquired at the deadline, Huascar Brazoban. Zuber boasts a 2.49 ERA and 29:6 K:BB in 21.2 innings at the Triple-A level in 2024.

The 29-year-old made his first big-league appearance since 2021 earlier this month, allowing one run in 3.1 innings of relief. It's unclear if Zuber will join the Mets' bullpen immediately or start out at Triple-A.
